AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 4:7 "If you do well [believing Me and doing what is acceptable and pleasing to Me], will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well [but ignore My instruction], sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you [to overpower you], but you must master it." |
Bible Question: Genesis 4:7 Talks about mastering sin, Yet Psalms 143:2 Mentions that no one living is rightous. So how does one master sin..Please back up with scripture. Thx |
Bible Answer: The word "master" is referring to dominion, in other words you are to have dominion over sin, be its master so that you may not sin.The only one who is master of sin is Jesus Christ"tempted in all points as we are yet without sin"Heb 4:15, 1Cor 10:13, Heb 4:15, Jam 1:14, 1 Jn 1:1-9 |
