NASB | Genesis 31:43 ¶ Then Laban replied to Jacob, "The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that you see is mine. But what can I do this day to these my daughters or to their children whom they have borne? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 31:43 ¶ Laban answered Jacob, "These women [that you married] are my daughters, these children are my grandchildren, these flocks are [from] my flocks, and all that you see [here] is mine. Bible Answer: Hi, One... This was Laban's answer to Jacob. Laban is simply asserting the fact that his daughters and grandchildren are his own descendants. Jacob came to Laban empty handed.
