AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:22 ¶ And the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), knowing [how to distinguish between] good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat [its fruit], and live [in this fallen, sinful condition] forever"-- |
Bible Question: Genesis 3:22 God said “The man has become like one of us, knowing good and Evil”…my question is when God said “US” who else was like God that was with God during that time? |
Bible Answer: Hello faith_love, The key to understanding the verse is that there is nobody else like God. If that is so, then God is speaking to Himself: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are speaking and planning together within the Godhead. There is no other good explanation. Steve |
