AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 3:22 ¶ And the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), knowing [how to distinguish between] good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat [its fruit], and live [in this fallen, sinful condition] forever"-- |
Bible Question: In genesis 3:22, it says "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." " Does this mean that Adam and Eve did not know the difference between good and evil before they ate the fruit? |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Genesis 1:26, 2:17, 3:5, 7, 10-11, 22 ... God's day to you, ripplin104, They knew one rule - not to eat of the one tree ... but didn't know it was evil. Satan was right in that part about knowing good and evil ... they only knew good. Being naked before each other and God brought shame and fear. Searcher |
