Bible Question:
My husband and I are both saved and have been going to church together since we gave our life to Christ. When we moved back to our home town, he had been out of fellowhsip with the Lord, he found out he was called to the ministry and started running and Jonah did when God called him. Well he is back in church now but not with me, he goes to church with his family (mother, grandmother, etc.) In the beginning that really bothered me and now it does not bother me anymore. There is an good, acceptable and perfect will of God and I believe that it is Gods perfect will that couples should be together in church. Gen 2:24 says then you are one flesh, I see that as one in the home, spirit and in church. I hope noone gets offended at what i'm saying but that is what I believe. Not saying where he is going is bad, but I know where God wants me and my family and I know that my husband should be with me. Do anyone have any comments on marriage in the church? |
Bible Answer: Hi, 8788! Here's what Paul had to say about your situation: What I mean is this: every one of you is declaring, 'I belong to Paul,' or 'I belong to Apollos,' or 'I belong to Cephas,' or 'I belong to Christ.' Has Christ been split up? Was it Paul that was crucified for you, or was it in Paul's name that you were baptised? (1 Corinthians 1:12-13) Since you profess to be believers there should be enough common ground between you to eradicate this divisiveness that has crept between you and your spouse. Pray to the Holy Spirit to guide and enlighten you! God Bless! |
