Bible Question:
Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Genesis 19:5-6 I understand that the 2 people were Angels, but did Lot? Can you interpret for me this part of the scripture, "Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." |
Bible Answer: Aliennow: The facts are laid down so plainly that I really don't see that this passage, Genesis 19:1-11, needs a great deal of interpretation. Homosexuality is clearly the subject, and God's attitude toward the sin is seen in the destruction of Sodom and in Lev. 18:22,29; 20:13; Rom. 1:26; 1 Cor. 6:9; 1 Tim. 1:10. It is from this passage of Scripture that we get our English word _sodomy_. ...... I don't understand your question, "I understand that the 2 people were Angels, but did Lot?" -- did Lot what? ..... By the way, angels are not people. --Hank |
