Bible Question:
In Genesis 11 regarding the tower of Babel, Who was "us" and why was God fearfull of man becoming too knowledgeable? - NIV - Gen. 11 –( “6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."”) |
Bible Answer: Hi, Marty J! You've heard of the expression "better than the average bear?" God created everything that exists, both the visible and the invisible, out of naught! We can hardly come to terms with our own mortality! Who has the advantage? There are Biblical quagmires that we will never understand (1 Corinthians 2:6-16 and 1 Corinthians 13:12)... Some of these seeminly perplexing questions are devoid of value since they do not yield anything that can guide us to Christ--the Resurrection and Life! Others were meant as simple teaching tools... It is good to search the Scriptures; but as Jesus said to the disciples: rather be glad that your names are written in the book of Life!--paraphrased (Luke 10:20). God Bless! Angel |
