AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 11:6 And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one [unified] people, and they all have the same language. This is only the beginning of what they will do [in rebellion against Me], and now no evil thing they imagine they can do will be impossible for them. |
Bible Question: Does Gen 11:6 refer to one-world government? |
Bible Answer: Greetings DLanning! Yes, but Gen. 11:6 is referring to much more than just government. "..If the whole human race remained united in the proud attempt to take its destiny into its own hands and, by its man-centered efforts, to seize the reins of history, there would be no limit to its unrestrained rebellion against God. The kingdom of man would displace and exclude the kingdom of God." (1) Blessings to you, Makarios (1) The Zondervan NASB Study Bible, 1999, the Zondervan Corporation, Kenneth Barker, General Editor |
