Bible Note: My basis.... I believe that God created the heavens and the earth. After that, the earth BECAME without form and void. If you read the original Hebrew, the word translated was also is used as became. Now, we all know of the fall of Satan, however we do not know the timeframe. If Satan was "hurled" to earth, then this most certainly would be an event that would cause the earth to become without form and void (tohu and bohu). In Isaiah, we are told that God did not create the world in vain, but the word translated as "in vain" is also tohu. If God did not create the world tohu and the world was tohu, then something happened for the world to become tohu. Now, in no way do I support or believe in evolution as a macro form. I don't. I don't believe that man evolved over the course of the billion years I stated....but as for the earth itself, I believe the Bible does not support a 6,000 year old earth. Yuke |
