Bible Question: WHAT IS THAT LIGHT IN GENESIS 1:3? |
Bible Answer: Hello G ZAZ The Bible does not say what the light is. I've heard a couple of theories though. 1. We know from Revelation that there is no need of the sun, because Jesus Christ is the light. So, this could be a reflection of God's light. (I lean this direction.) 2. The entire universe was created before Gen 1:2, so there would have been luminaries in existence, but that light was diffused to such an extent that nobody could tell there were multiple points of light until the fourth day of the so-called recreation. 3. It's leftover illumination from the Big Bang. Steve |
