Subject: when were the angels created? |
Bible Note: Dear Bill, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I agree that angels were created prior to man. However, I am afraid I cannot agree that angels should be included in the 'Us'. Please read the below scriptures which do not support 'Us' is inclusive of angels. Gen 1:26-27 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.....God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (NASB) AMP version v. 26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. [Ps. 104:30; Heb. 1:2; 11:3.] AMP version v 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. [Col. 3:9, 10; James 3:8, 9.] Gen 9:6 "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man. 1 Cor 11:7 For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. Only God (the father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) is the creator. Nowhere in the bible mentioned that man was created in the image of angels. Hope this clarifies the issue.
