Bible Question: Can anyone tell me exactly what happened between verse one and two of Genesis? |
Bible Answer: In the beginning ,Elohim, this is the first occurrence of the divine name in Hebrew, the name of god witch stresses His majesty and omnipotence. Thus Elohim is a plural name with a singular meaning,a uni-plural noun, there by suggesting the uni-plurality of the god head.God is one,yet more then one. He created the heaven and the earth or dry ground. that was creation, now 2)I think what your moving towards is the GAP THEORY,Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 describe the condition of the earth after the judgment, because of the sin of satan in rebelling against God. God then re-created" the world in the six literal days described in Genesis 1:3-31. |
