An urgent message the prophet is under compulsion to proclaim.

Under the preaching of Jonah, the king of Nineveh and all its people repented (Jon 3:5). But when Nahum came to Nineveh a hundred and fifty years later, everything had changed and the people had become hopelessly wicked. God's wrath was not to be turned away this time.
