81 | I AM is HOLY Christian | Luke 7:35 | teragram123 | 60297
The fruit of ones life is the truest indicator of the author of the life... if one is truly born again from above. To say one is wise yet lack the fear of the Lord is be but a fool in deeds. The righteous man is known by his deeds. Yet so many believers claim to be children of the most holy God and continue to walk in carnality and darkness without the slightest concern. I AM is Holy Christian We serve a Holy God His life overflows with Holiness We stand on Holy sod I AM is Holy Christian Holiness comes from Him Thus people can not Holy be Unless they have been born again I AM is Holy Christian His beauty awes life’s powers And real untainted beauty comes When His life shines thru ours I AM is Holy Christian We serve the Holy One The essence is He hates all sin He hates what sin has done I AM is Holy Christian O that this truth were known All mankind and all would fall And worship at HIS throne. I AM is Holy Christian May this truth transform you Fir since I AM is HOLY We must be HOLY too ------ Russell Kelfer |

82 | Who is God using? | John 3:16 | teragram123 | 55761
This week in New York -- despite the warning received ten months ago on September 11, 2001 -- the United States came into one accord with the United Nations, the European Union and Russia in setting the stage for Israel to concede covenant land which was promised to her by God. Not only did Secretary of State Colin Powell effectively REVERSE President Bush's implied withdraw from endorsing a Palestinian State "until a change of Palestinian leadership" takes place, but on July 19 President Bush sealed the matter by reconfirming his commitment to establishing a Palestinian State WITHIN THREE YEARS. The spiritual covering over the United States was significantly weakened during the peace process in New York. America has now chosen her path, and this path will ultimately require a response from God. Unless America changes her present course, one can easily foresee severe natural disasters in the coming months... economic tensions, unprecedented earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other judgments as God lifts his hand of angelic covering from the United States of America. And what takes up the time of the Christians? Foolish debates on who God will use in these last hours. Just look at the volume of postings on such foolishness as does God put women into ministry... will God use a women? None of these lead to the saving of souls but are merely the puffed up minds filled with opinions. What witness is all of this to the JW’s that you have been debating? If God wants to use another dumb donkey to same my lost loved ones, I say so be it! Yes even a women would be fine with me if He so ordains her. The Pharisees would debate deep sayings but could not discern the signs of the times. Lets let God be God! If HE saves souls through a women, even if the PHARISEES say HE shouldn’t, who knows, that soul may be one of the two witnesses of the end times. No man comes to the Father except that the Spirit Draw, so if a women preaches and God saves, HALLELUJAH! It is God that gives the increase, and He is the judge of the work! A women is still the better choice than having to wait till the Rocks cry out. I have many lost loved ones that I really care less who God uses to save them. I really doubt that if any of those on this forum against women preacher, had a child drowning, you would not stop a women from throwing out the life line. Is not the soul worth more than the body? Time is running out, let your righteous energies be used for the Kingdom of God to the saving of souls which is His heartbeat. He will take care of the women who get out of their place. Sad to say though, God may very well be calling women to pick up the slack for too many men that have ran from the call for many years. Who is the Blessed of God... the one called or the one that obeys the call? It seems to me that Christians are too busy rearranging the pictures on the wall while the house is burning down. |

83 | Condemned Already: from birth? | John 3:18 | teragram123 | 63597
I agree with you... It seems the hardest part of evangelism today is to convince one that he is indeed a sinner in need of a saviour... if we could do that many would see and cry out. Isn't that the same problem Christ and the apostles faced in their day? 2 Thes. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Christ is trying to get back into his own church! |

84 | Heresy or true? | John 3:18 | teragram123 | 63600
This reminds me of the tragedy of the Titanic.. I understand that the call and flares for help were sent in plenty of time for a safe rescue from the ship nearest to them; However do to indifference and lack of concern they delayed the rescue. Only a portion of the people were therefore reached in time. So who was to blame? All could have been saved or at least given the chance. Grace was available but the vessels God would have used did not respond. The commission has been given to the church to go into all nations and tell the good news. Yet have we even concerned ourselves with our own neighbors? When a missions service is scheduled at our churches... many of the “Christians” stay away! Ezekiel 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? Christians today are simple not taking up HIS cross. |

85 | Is it true worship? | John 4:23 | teragram123 | 62996
IS IT REALLY WORSHIP? I wondered why it was that in situations of "praise and worship", that I at times felt a distinct unease as to the credence of much of what was being done in the name of God, and felt a reluctance to join in with what my heart could not witness. I asked Jesus to please show me what it was that caused me to so feel so ill-at-ease, or to hold back. He has since shown me that much of what is offered as Praise and Worship is in fact self-centered and self-seeking. We think that God wants our Praise, so like idol worshipping pagans we tender our praise hoping that in return the god(s) will hear and grant us what we desire in return. This is not what God wants, He wants us to come to Him with a pure heart desiring only to Know Him - for this is eternal life. Some time ago, I heard a widely published and well respected speaker say to a congregation that we were to give God all the Glory because He wants it and He needs it. The Holy Spirit spoke up on the inside of me and said, "no I don't need it, I have all the Glory I will ever need because I am Glory". God's Glory, or the Glory which results from us doing the will of God, is like a loaded gun in the hands of a child. We are to commit it to Him, for safe-keeping. This is the treasure we are to lay up in Heaven, this is also your eternal reward for your earthly obedience, and your "good deposit", or storehouse. (Matt 6:19-21, 12:35, Mark 10:21, 2 Cor 4:17). I recently watched a replay of T.D. Jakes speaking at the "Woman thou art loosed - 2001" conference, and it electrified me! What The Lord opened to me through this was that when people want what we have they will seek to gain it through giving us what they believe we want. This is the basis of most transactional exchange. So when advertising salespeople come into my shop trying to sell to me, the first thing they invariably do is to try and "stroke" my ego be telling me what a wonderful shop I have, and or what a nice guy I am, thinking this will gain my favor. This is all based in fear, greed and manipulation. So, if we are given to the thought that God "wants" or needs our praise and worship, and that we in turn "want" what God has for ourselves, then we will try to make the transaction by attempting to buy His favor with our "adoration". We try to manipulate God, when we still hold (any of) our own life in our own hands. Our (real) life is hid with Christ in God, so if and when we do not live in true submission to the Will of God and under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, (why do you call me "Lord", and do not the things which I say?) then we seek to manipulate Him by maintaining lordship over our own will - get it? When we hold up our up-turned hands in true Praise and Worship, and yield ourselves as a vessel of and to righteousness, we cease from manipulation. We ought then also see our manipulating of others for what it really is, and so seek deliverance from this most odious and onerous of human character traits. If we come seeking to "worship" God, and there is any duplicity in our heart, any unresolved unforgiveness, unrepented attitudes and actions which contradict the Word of Truth and the Love nature of God, then we deceive ourselves, because we do not "know" the Truth, and they that (truly) worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, with clean (empty) hands and a clean heart. As in communion, if we do not "rightly discern the body, we eat and drink judgment to ourselves." Jesus told me that the reason He wants our Praise and Worship is not for His sake, it is for our sake - it is so we can learn how to love unconditionally with the unconditional Love of God which is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. So we can learn to align our will with His Will and walk in the righteousness He has established for us, and in the freedom He bought for us with His life's blood. -- Strom |

86 | Is it true worship? | John 4:23 | teragram123 | 62998
Is it true worship?---- con't It is not about making God feel good about Himself any more than it is about making us feel good about ourselves. He is complete, He is not an egotist who needs building up, He is God! For goodness sake, where did we ever get the idea we could add to the sum of who God is and what God is? Did we think, like Zebedee's wife, that we could come and bow before Him to seek our own will? The religious mind likes to think that all of God's creation is about God and that we are here just to serve Him and for His pleasure - and there is an element of truth in this, but we need to look deeper. Why did God want dear children, why did He, who was complete in Himself, want a family? Because Love, by His very nature, has an innate desire to reproduce, to expand, to fulfill, to provide, to be expressed. Praise and Worship is so much more than thanking God for what He has done, it is loving God for who He is. Love is unconditional, Worship is unconditional. I love my wife not for what she can do for me, but for who she is. I am learning to love her in a deeper way, by learning to "know" Love, and when I am in agreement with Love, I am the Oneness I am with Love, and so Love is being perfected in me and I love with the Love of the Lord. Just Love God for who He is, for He is Love.-- Strom |

87 | what was Jesus message to us and for us? | John 4:27 | teragram123 | 63607
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. John 3:3-8 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. |

Dear Stokeyhk, I have studied the watchtower... New World Translation... I find it interesting that in Joh 17.11 Jesus says that He has the Father's Name! Quoting from that translation... Also, I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name which you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are. |

89 | He wept not for their grief | John 11:35 | teragram123 | 55834
Joh 11:35 Jesus wept. Joh 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. Joh 11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. I find it very interesting that Martha said the same thing to Jesus, but when Mary said it He wept. I find it difficult to believe He wept for their grief or pain, since He was about to do such a wonderful thing for them. John 11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Why would He have wept? He knew why He was sent there by His father - to resurrect Lazarus! There was no reason for Him to weep over the grave of the one that would be up walking within the hour! Why would He weep for the loved ones that would be shouting glory in just a few minutes? However I do believe that her lack of faith is what cause His grief. Had she not sat at His feet more than Mary? Had she not known Him in a very personal friendship... she had received much from Him as her teacher and savior. He came expecting to find fruit of faith... more than that of Martha. To whom much is given, much is required. He was expecting more from her faith than He did from Martha. For the same reason teachers will be expected to have greater faith... "..Because a teacher has great influence, he will be held more accountable (see Luke 20:47; cf. Matt. 23:1-33)." "3:1 teachers. Since teachers use their tongues (to instruct others) more, they will be judged more strictly." (2) |

91 | What makes Christianity different | John 14:6 | teragram123 | 54825
I knew God ... being raised Catholic... but I never knew Him in a way of a relationship... like a best friend. When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and trusted Him in that by discontinuing to go to the confessional... a divine event took place in my life. The date of my new birth was March 23 1976. Christ became a personal friend, redeemer and Lord. His Word became my constant companion. I knew about Him before my conversion... but I know Him and know that He knows me now. I went from a religion to a relationship... most people have some sort of religion but that does not gain us our entrance into Heaven I could not truely know God the Father without knowing Christ His son for He is the only avenue to knowing the Father. John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 2 Cor. 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. Now I know He knows me ... we speak daily! Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Knowing about God is not what it is about... but knowing Him and that can only be acchieved thru Christ alone... Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. We can not know God the Father if we do not know His son 1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. |

92 | Why each in the name of Jehovah? | John 17:6 | teragram123 | 56457
dear stokeyhk Note in NWT not KJV Joh 17.6 “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world” Compare this to Joh 17.11... “Also, I am no longer in the wolrd, but they are in the world and I am coming to you, Holy Father, watch over themon account of your own name which you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are.” Again compare this now to Acts 16.18.. ... I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” Jesus taught in the name of JESUS... not JEHOVAH... the disciples preached and died for the name of JESUS... not Jehovah Read thru the book of Acts... please tell me where Jesus taught or did miracles in the Father Jehovah’s Name. Philip. 2:9-11 NWT - “For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father” Lord - kurios, (supremacy); supreme in authority, i.e. (as noun) controller; God, Lord Why than do JW's teach and preach in the Name of Jehovah |

95 | True repentance | Acts 2:38 | teragram123 | 62099
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Repent means far more than being sorry for the deed done, because of just punishment. It is a changed mind toward that sin, and a commitment to abandon it permanently Repent - Greek 3340, Strong's - metanoeo, to think differently or afterwards, i.e. reconsider (moral feel compunction) :- repent. "TRUE REPENTANCE True repentance has a distinct and constant reference to the Lord Jesus Christ. If you repent of sin without looking to Christ, repentance is shallow. If you are so lamenting your sin as to forget the Savior, you have a need to Whenever we repent of sin we must have one eye upon sin and another upon the cross; or, better still, let us have both eyes upon Christ, seeing our sin punished in Him, and by no means let us look at sin except as we look at Jesus. A man may hate sin just as a murderer hates the gallows but this does not prove repentance if I hate sin because of the punishment, I have not repented of sin; I merely regret that God is just. But if I can see sin as an offense against Jesus Christ, and loathe myself because I have wounded Him, then I have a true brokenness of heart. If I see the Savior and believe that those thorns upon His head were put there by my sinful works; if I believe that those wounds in His heart were pierced by my heart-sins; if I believe that those wounds in His feet were made by my wandering steps, and that the wounds in His hands were made by my sinful deeds, then I repent after a right fashion. Only under the cross can you repent. Repentance elsewhere is remorse, which clings to the sin and only dreads the punishment. Let us then seek, under God, to have a hatred of sin caused by sight of Christ's love." ---author unknown |

96 | Can one be saved by just repenting alone | Acts 16:1 | teragram123 | 60426
Acts 16:27-34 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. [28] But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. [29] Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, [30] And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. [32] And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. [33] And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. [34] And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. |

98 | Guilty of blood of others? | Acts 20:26 | teragram123 | 55079
To ReformerJoe It would seem evident the church is given a commission... not a suggestion or option.. Proverbs 3:27-28 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. [28] Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. [18] When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [19] Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. [20] Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: Ezekiel 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Ezekiel 33:6-7 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. [7] So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. The failure of the church in this regard has brought us the conditions of today. I do not believe that the church of Paul's day would have been taking time to answer questions like... "can I smoke Pot and be a Christian?" O how there needs to be time in the Lord’s presence for Him to give revelation to HIS will and not the desire of our own hearts. Philip. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. |

99 | confused | Rom 4:5 | teragram123 | 54805
Ages and Dispensations Age—Revolution of Time: 1.Age defined - means any period of time whether long or short; time; season. In this sense there are numberless ages 2.Past ages 3.Present age 4.Future ages 5.Creative ages 6.Five main ages in time: (1)The antechaotic age—from the original creation to chaos during which time Lucifer ruled the earth in perfection, before he fell and caused the earth to be flooded (This age took in all the period of the dateless past, the original creations, Lucifer's reign in perfection (Eze 28:15), the period of rebellion by Lucifer and pre-Adamites, the war between heaven and earth which culminated in Lucifer's defeat (Isa 14:12-14; and the chaotic period on earth after Lucifer's defeat (Gen 1:2; Jer 4:23-26; 2 Pe 3:5-7). These periods were of unknown length, and could be called the Eternal Past. (2) The antediluvian age—from the beginning of the six days of restoration of the heavens and earth to a second habitable state (Genesis 1:3-2:25) to the flood of Noah's time; or, from the flood of Lucifer (Genesis 1:2) to the flood of Noah (Gen 6:8-8:14). This age included the dispensations of Innocence and Conscience—1,656 years (Gen 5). (3) The present or postdiluvian age—from the flood of Noah (Gen 6:8-8:14) to the Millennium (Rev. 19:11-20:7). This age takes in four dispensations: Human Government, Promise, Law, and Grace—already over 4,545 years by A.D. 2000. (4)The age to come—from the second coming of Christ to the New Heavens and New Earth This age will last 1,000 years (5)The age of the ages—from the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:4-10) into all eternity when God will move His capital city from the planet Heaven to the planet Earth to reign forever This could be called the Eternal Future. Dispensation—A Moral Time: 1.Dispensation defined. The word itself is not in the Old Testament, but is used four times in the New Testament This does not mean that there were no dispensations in the Old Testament program any more than it means there was no devil in Old Testament times simply because the word "devil" is not used in the Old Testament. The Greek word means an administration, stewardship, dispensation, or guardianship. It refers to a moral or probationary period in angelic or human history during which God dealt with angels or human beings according to a particular test or responsibility, under which each was to remain true to his trust of administering affairs for God under His direction. 2. Nine Features of Each Dispensation: (1)Definition or name (2)Length of time (3)A favorable beginning (4)Test for responsible agents (5)The purpose of God in each one (6)The means of God in accomplishing His purpose (7)The failure of responsible agents (8)Judgment of God upon responsible agents (9)God's provision of reconciliation for fallen agents When these nine points regarding each age or dispensation are understood, then God's plan for man as a whole becomes clear. Each dispensation has its own particular beginning and ending; each is characterized by distinctive principles of God's dealings; each has a favorable beginning; each has a definite test; and each ends in failure and judgment, except the final and eternal one. Nothing but confusion can arise from reading certain meanings into Scripture that do not apply to a particular age. In each dispensation, God has a definite and different immediate purpose, all working toward the ultimate purpose of ridding the universe of all rebellion so that all free moral agents will be willingly and eternally subject to God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost, as originally planned, with God all in all forever Some part of one age may apply to another, but forcing the purposes of God to be the same in every age distorts Scripture and confuses the understanding. Study the history of each period carefully, and the prophecies given in each that predict a definite change in God's dealings or plan to the ultimate end. Harmonize all passages with the whole plan of God revealed in Scripture. Then one can see from God's perspective His purposes and plans for free moral agents who prove worthy of eternal trust 3. The Bible Divided Dispensationally: (1)The original creations (Gen 1:1) (2)The chaotic earth (Gen 1:2) (3)The restoration of earth (Gen 1:3-2:14) (4)The dispensation of innocence (Gen 2:15-3:21) (5)The dispensation of conscience (Gen 3:22-8:14) (6)The dispensation of human government (Gen 8:15-11:32) (7)The dispensation of promise (Gen 12:1-Exo 12:37) (8)The dispensation of law (Exo 12:38-Mat 2:23) (9)The dispensation of grace (Mat 3:1-Rev. 19:10) (10)The dispensation of divine government, or the millennium (Rev. 19:11-20:15) (11)The dispensation of faithful angels and the redeemed—the new heavens and new earth, the eternal perfect state (Rev. 21:1-22:5). 100 | where do you find permissive will of God | Rom 12:2 | teragram123 | 55571
I can not find the permissive will of God in the Bible... can any one please tell me how this ever got started? These are the only verses I find with permit.. 1 Cor. 16:7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. Hebrews 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit. pitrepo, to turn over (transfer), i.e. allow :- give leave (liberty, license), let, permit, suffer. Isn't all sin the permissive will of God?
