81 | once saved are we always saved? | Heb 6:4 | shalor | 101242
REV 5 4 And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; 5 and one of the elders said to me, "Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals." John 10 27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. 29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30 "I and the Father are one." Jesus is not only the lamb of God, but also the Lion of the tribe of Judah. If you can lose your Salvation then is the life he gives really eternal? And what does never perish mean if one can perish after salvation? If saved you are in the dtrong grip of the lion of the tribe of Judah and no on is able to snath you from that grip. |

82 | I'm skeptical | Luke 14:26 | shalor | 101240
18 For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, "I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE." 20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For indeed Jews ask for signs, and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28 and the base things of the world and the despised, God has chosen, the things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are, 29 that no man should boast before God. 30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31 that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD." 2:1 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; 7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory; 8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; 9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." 10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man. 16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE SHOULD INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ. |

84 | "a thorn in the side"? or Not? | 1 John 2:2 | shalor | 100735
In carrying the gospel, it is imperative to remember that it is the good news, not the bad news that one is presenting. Of course this requires the necessity of presenting the fact that this is good news because they already are in a state of bad news. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Isaiah 55:11 teaches : So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. The gospel that is carried is God’s word and will accomplish what he desires. A foot soldier for Christ should take care of how he cares for his feet. EPH 6:15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; Jesus teaches in Matt 10:14, Mark 6:11, Luke 9:5, and Luke 10,11 that we should shake the dust our feet of those who reject. In other word keep your feet clean they are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. In simple language don’t dirty up the gospel. Those that reject the Gospel reject God’s word, not my word or your word. In Acts 13 when Paul is at Pisidian Antioch, he clearly shares the Gospel, with a warning, But in the final verse he shake the dust from his feet, as Jesus taught, and moves on down the line. |

Read the book of Ephesians and the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew. If you are a solider in Christ's Army, be well grounded in Love and put on the full armor of God. You are engaged in spiritual warfare not physical combat. The reapers are the angels at the time of harvest. Your mission, if you decide to accept, is to carry the light of the gospel to the POWs remaining in Satan's grasp. Christ as already declared victory on the cross. |

92 | Is Sola Scriptura invalid? | Not Specified | shalor | 98507
Sola Scriptura ? If Sola Scriptura is not valid, then the logical conclusion would be there must be some other valid source. Scriptura Plus? Just Plus without Scripture? How does one determine if the Pluses are from God or Man? If they are from God, should they be included in Scripture and then we would be back to Sola Scriptura? What if the Pluses contradict Scripture? Which takes precedence? Is Church Authority a valid source? If so should the disciples have submitted to the Pharisees after Jesus Ascension? If Church authority is not valid then whose teachings are valid? What about Nestorism, Sunni, Shiite, Sufism, Bahai, Mormonism, Etc. Shalor |

The one man was Adam and through him sin(loss through his action) came into the world. Sin means to miss the mark and to be seperated from God. See Romans 3:23. Through Adam's sin all men are born, in this world, short of the mark and seperated from God. |
