81 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | RJJ | 90837
You seem cofused in your postings, I hope this helps. My first posting #90497 asked you to explain your statement in #90481. Your reply #90632 I found disgraceful and you were, and still are, silent on the request to explain your statment "if anyone asks". I hope that this is clear enough for you to answer or is the Bible reference to empty jars relevent? We await your answer. RJJ |

82 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | RJJ | 90744
I will treat this post with the contempt it deserves, you answer my question with silence a state that would be appreciared by many. As this Forum deals in study of the Bible and is NOT a pulpit, may I offer the Book of JOB as a good place to start your retraining, may The Holy Spirit be kind to you. RJJ |

83 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | RJJ | 90497
Sir, You state that you base your faith on being well, do you lose your faith when sickness comes? Or have you found the cure for the common cold, or are you one who states all people crippled, deseased ect.that they are in this condition because of their lack of faith? Sir you say that you will explain yourself if asked well I am asking, indeed I demand, as one who knows the healing power of the Holy Spirit and still sitting here in my wheel chair, SAVED LOVED, BLESSED AND BOUND FOR AN ETERNITY WITH MY LORD, that you explain or retract your statement. 84 | Where was Paradise? | Luke 23:43 | RJJ | 90488
I have heard from the pulpit and I have read, even here in the archives, that this verse shows that immediately on His death JESUS returned to Heaven. Yet, in the light of scripture, JESUS descended to Hell(Hades) to release those in Paradise then locking the gates so that no one of His redeemed need ever to enter Hell(Hades) So where was PARADISE at the time of the death of our LORD and SAVIOUR, Heaven or Hell(Hades)? Hi Hank, Many thanks for your most helpful notes, and I can see from where you are "coming from" to reach your conclusions and, as I have said, I fully concur with them, but I cannot agee with your starting point. For I believe that God the Father is still enriching the lives of His children with gifts through the Holy Spirit, YAWAH is still in the saving business and the sustaining of the Body of Believers. It is a fact of historic record that man abuses the gifts of God, I praise my God for His patience with me and my fellowman, may God bless and continue to reveal all truth. I hope that we meet again on the way of life, may I recommend a web site that may help in showing where I am "coming from", www.geocities.com/ian4christ411/ God bless. RJJ |

Hello Hank, Did not mean to insult you Sir, and reading your answer to my question, I'm sure glad that the war is over. From your answer am I to understand that you have strong views on the whole healing issue?, while agreeing with you in everything you said have you got any views that support the doctrine of healing that is evident in the scriptures. ie 2 Cor ch12 v4-7 and the evedenctial use of these being used in the early church as in 1 Tim ch4 v14. My father was nick named "Stonewall", up the REBS!!! |

Hello my fellow brother in CHRIST, Many thanks Hank for your "straight" answer. So why, in your opinion, do "healers" use this scripture, is it to support the teaching that the unheald have to "live as though they have been healed and to have faith while wait for it to manifest in real1ity"? Persoal note:-"hunch" is Hank a "Yank"? |

Whilst looking at Scripture concerning "healing" I came to this verse, when read in context it would seem to refer to the "healing" of the separation between man and God. Yet I have heard that same portion of scripture used to support teaching regarding the healing of the human body. Is my reading of this scripture correct or incorrect, please support your answer. Thank you, I stand corrected, although your "answer" has left me as confused as I was before I asked the question. Can no one give a straight answer to a straight question? Confused.RJJ. |

90 | Proof of Christ | Bible general Archive 1 | RJJ | 81816
There is only one way to prove Chist, look at so-called doubting Thomas, who also looked for proof. Although he was offered proof by the others who who had meet Jesus, still had to have undenyable proof. So Jesus showed Thomas, and us, the way to prove Him, and that is to have a personel encounter with Jesus. It was not the nail marks or the wound in the side of Jesus, it was the experiece of meeting HIM. We do not have to prove the exsistance of Jesus, we are called to be witnesses. |

Hello KdB, May I refer you back to my original question, it is not what I think that challenges the answer given but the wiser and more learned men than I. May I recommend Bible Gateway where, under study tools, there are commentaries from people like Matthew Henry and John Wesley, (about 14 at least), a good site. So, I ask my fellow Bible students, on balence in the light of this evidence, again I ask "what do YOU think?" I have my own view but as this is a forum and if answers are challenged, and the evidence for that challenge is presented to the forum then it is the members of the forum to enter into informed debate so that members can reach their own conclusion. Your humble servant, RJJ |

I know this question has been asked, but I believe that the answers given need to be challenged, in the light of the many commentaries that say that the answer given is incorrect. Could I ask "what do YOU understand it to mean?". God bless. |

95 | John15:1-15 Christ love to a person | Matt 6:24 | RJJ | 76304
Who was Matthew talking too? He was talking to the Jews, and what Matthew says has to be looked at as they would have looked at it. Here Matthew is addressing the role of a servant, who has to be willing and obedient to do anything that his master wants him to do, total dedication. The servant has to understand this when he becomes a servant, he has the right to read the terms of employment. Who is your master? |
