Bible Question:
John15:7-16 Today visting friends and talking about reading John15: A question came up,sad to say I didn't know the answer,or maybe I just didn't understand. Hope you can help me. How can you love a person and show Christ's love to that friend,if you have no love and cannot work it up? Right now I see it as: Not really being a branch of God's vine. You are not abiding in His words or His love. Verse6 If anyone does not abide in Me,he is thrown away as a branch and dried up and they gather them and cast them into the fire and the are burned. Thank you so much |
Bible Answer: Who was Matthew talking too? He was talking to the Jews, and what Matthew says has to be looked at as they would have looked at it. Here Matthew is addressing the role of a servant, who has to be willing and obedient to do anything that his master wants him to do, total dedication. The servant has to understand this when he becomes a servant, he has the right to read the terms of employment. Who is your master? |
