61 | God and the Suffering Saint. | Matt 11:29 | RJJ | 95839
Let us learn his TRUTH! As one who knows suffering at first hand, I found this a positive help while awaiting for the time of my healing - God also works his will through human suffering. Sometimes there is a correlation between sin and suffering (Psalm 55:19; 119:75), sometimes not (Luke 13:1-5; John 9:1-3), but in all cases God is able to use suffering to discipline (Deut 8:5), correct (Job 5:17), instruct (Isa 26:8-9), teach (Psalm 119:67,71), draw us to himself (Isa 26:16; Hosea 5:14-15), refine (Isa 48:10), and encourage us (Heb 12:4-11). In all of our afflictions God comforts and sustains us (Isa 66:13; Lam 3:19-28; 2 Cor 1:3-7) so that we will not be crushed beyond measure. Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 8:37-39). By Walter A. Elwell. May the peace of God be our experience. I submit this post to my fellow believers in the hope that they will use it as a platform to expound the doctrines it contains through Scripture. SHALOM, RJJ |

63 | God and the Suffering Saint. Pt 2 | Matt 11:29 | RJJ | 96739
Hello Makarios, greetings in the Lords name. Thank you for your post, and lets not forget that our Lord Himself experienced the greatest suffering. In our world today we may have changed the understanding regarding suffering, about its stresses, its poverty, its humiliation , and to name the diseases but despite how we describe it, suffering is still suffering. All praise to the God we serve, a God that knows by experience what suffering means. How much more is the suffering must be for those who do not know the Love of God. SHALOM. RJJ |

64 | WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? | Matt 16:6 | RJJ | 90497
Sir, You state that you base your faith on being well, do you lose your faith when sickness comes? Or have you found the cure for the common cold, or are you one who states all people crippled, deseased ect.that they are in this condition because of their lack of faith? Sir you say that you will explain yourself if asked well I am asking, indeed I demand, as one who knows the healing power of the Holy Spirit and still sitting here in my wheel chair, SAVED LOVED, BLESSED AND BOUND FOR AN ETERNITY WITH MY LORD, that you explain or retract your statement. I will treat this post with the contempt it deserves, you answer my question with silence a state that would be appreciared by many. As this Forum deals in study of the Bible and is NOT a pulpit, may I offer the Book of JOB as a good place to start your retraining, may The Holy Spirit be kind to you. RJJ |

You seem cofused in your postings, I hope this helps. My first posting #90497 asked you to explain your statement in #90481. Your reply #90632 I found disgraceful and you were, and still are, silent on the request to explain your statment "if anyone asks". I hope that this is clear enough for you to answer or is the Bible reference to empty jars relevent? We await your answer. RJJ |

FOR YOUR INFORMATION Word-Faith teachers owe their ancestry to groups like Christian Science, Swedenborgianism, Theosophy, Science of Mind, and New Thought--not to classical Pentecostalism It reveals that at their very core, Word-Faith teachings are corrupt. Their undeniable derivation is cultish, not Christian. The sad truth is that the gospel proclaimed by the Word-Faith movement is not the gospel of the New Testament. Word-Faith doctrine is a mongrel system, a blend of mysticism, dualism, and gnosticism that borrows generously from the teachings of the metaphysical cults. The Word-Faith movement may be the most dangerous false system that has grown out of the charismatic movement so far, because so many charismatics are unsure of the finality of Scripture John MacArthur, Charismatic Chaos, p. 290 |

73 | Prospects for Sheep and | Mark 9:1 | RJJ | 99220
Greetings lastdays, Why do you use a scripture out of comtext? This scripture was fulfilled rix days later on Mount Tabor, better known as the Mount of Transfiguration. Jesus had been telling the disciples that He was going to go to Jeruselem and all that was to happen to Him, but He would show some of them that He was the Son of God, Peter, James and John were the witnesses.Matthew 17:1-6 ect. This is from a brother who also would disagree with your understanding of the end times, which I am sure has been discussed many times on this Forum, a word search will confirm this I am sure. 74 | Where was Paradise? | Luke 23:43 | RJJ | 90488
I have heard from the pulpit and I have read, even here in the archives, that this verse shows that immediately on His death JESUS returned to Heaven. Yet, in the light of scripture, JESUS descended to Hell(Hades) to release those in Paradise then locking the gates so that no one of His redeemed need ever to enter Hell(Hades) So where was PARADISE at the time of the death of our LORD and SAVIOUR, Heaven or Hell(Hades)? Greetings every one. There seems that the old arguments never go away, so instead of adding to the fires of debate, may I ask, what to some would say, is a simple question, "at the baptism of our Lord, who heard the voice of God, and saw the Holy Spirit descending?" SHALOM,RJJ |
