61 | hi | John 14:6 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202660
raz, I failed to complete my last. What I intended to finish with is this. If you seek to hear from the God of heaven and earth, the One and only true God in which He Himself has revealed to mankind this truth. Acts 4:10-12 (NASB95) 4:10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 4:11 "He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone. 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Then ask what you will and many will help point you to what God's word says. For it is His word that is truth (John 17:17). Steve |

62 | hi | John 14:6 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202657
It is important that you know the word of God says that all of us are sinners (Romans 3:23). No one is able to overcome their sins on their own. There is but one who has paid for our sins (Romans 6:23, Acts 4:12). It is by His grace through faith in Christ Jesus, not of our works nor anything we can do to earn it (Ephesians 2:4-10). What you must do is believe ONLY in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). For He says as many as receive Him, to them He gives the right to become children of God (John 1:12). No one comes to God the Father but through Christ Jesus (John 14:6)! No one! There is no other way! We do not discuss the quran here. This forum is only for discussing the word of God! If you seek to hear from the God of heaven and earth, the one and only true God in whom He Himself has said Steve H. |

64 | Seven Churches in Asia | Acts 17:31 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202609
call2faith, God has sent the message long ago! And not only the message, but the greatest and clearest sign mankind could ever be shown. Acts 17:30-31 (NASB) 17:30 "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 17:31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead." 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 (NASB) 15:1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 15:2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 15:3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 15:5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 15:6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; 15:7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; 15:8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. amos, Looking at all your post it appears you are always asking home work questions. Is that what you are doing? If so, wouldn't it be better to do a little study of your own or at least engage in discussion on the question instead of just looking for the easy way out? In light of your most recent question this might be the best time for some hands on to see what a personal relationship with God is all about. Steve |

77 | How do i get back on track with god?. | John 15:4 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202257
mittens, Study John 15:1-16. What you will find here is there is only one way to address your question and that is to abide in Christ! Study out this passage of scripture! Then daily read His word and spend time on your knees before Him! Spend time in fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ at your local church. Seek to be and fulfill that which God has gifted you for as a member of His body and conduct yourself in all things to His honor and glory (Ephesians 4). There is so much you can do and it all comes down to you abiding in Him! You will learn and understand what you are called to do as you study His word, pray and spend time with Him and also being an active part of the body of Christ. Steve |

78 | everlasting kingdom | Acts 17:26 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202255
Esdras, There is no biblical foundation for such! It seems to me scripture teaches just the opposite. I think it is safe to say based on what we find in scripture and see from mankind over the years he has walked this earth that we have yet to learn as a whole what sin does to us and to the creation as a whole. Scripture teaches us we are sinners desperately in need of a saviour (Romans 3:23). Mankind does not have within himself the ability to cleanse himself or change his sinfulness nor the ability to change his ways without the intervention of God (1 Corinthians 2:14, Romans 8:5-8, John 6:44-45). And we have no excuse because it is mankind that has sinned and suppressed the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18-21). Given that, I see no hope for mankind at all without God Himself intervening! God has appointed our times and boundaries (Acts 17:26) and certainly mankind has no power to change that despite how highly man thinks of himself. God has declared to mankind to repent because He has FIXED a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through Christ Jesus (Acts 17:30-31). So no! Mankind for the most part can’t even recognize the problem much less correct it. The everlasting kingdom is that of the only one who was, is and ever will be and that is the Lord God! Psalms 145:13 (NASB) Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Steve |

79 | what is romans 5:1-21 about? | Rom 5:1 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202195
nae nae, To summarize, it is about justification through faith in Christ, the results of which we have peace with God through Him (Jesus)! The passage (Romans 1-21) as a whole has much to say. Is there a certain portion you are looking for help with? Let me add that this passage of scripture is one of the more profound passages which blows away the teachings of those who still to this day teach justification by works. Isn't it interesting how mankind still doesn't get it? How is it Jesus died for us when we were "helpless" (v6) and "yet sinners" (v8) and now we are justified through Him it changes anything? It doesn't! We were, are, and always will be justified by faith in Christ alone! Paul as always does an excellent job in pointing this out. He clearly explains the Law that some would have us justified by came in so "that the transgression would increase" (See verses 13 and 20). Paul sums it up well in verse 21 by pointing out the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ is what leads to eternal life! Steve |

80 | how did peter know moses at the transfig | Matt 17:3 | humbledbyhisgrace | 202055
Greetings iitb, I'm not aware of anywhere in the bible that answers that question. If there is I'm sure someone will correct me and point it out :-) So, considering that, we could only speculate. Speculating, I would point to verses (Matthew 17:3, Mark 9:4, Luke 9:30) where Moses and Elijah talked to Jesus. Perhaps the Lord greeted them by name :-) Keep in mind, speculating means absolutely nothing and should not be taken as doctrinal. But keep digging in, the Word of God is soooooooooooooooo sweet to our soul! Ah I pray all His people will come to love it and cherish it and be consumed by it! God bless, Steve |
