43 | Am I understanding you so far? | John 3:16 | ava4 | 65060
1 John chapter 2 verses 1 and 2. "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But, if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our but also for the sins of the whole world" This is from the NIV translation. I actually prefer the wording in the KJV. May God bless your day. Dennis |

45 | Who are the ones taken? | Matt 24:40 | ava4 | 65056
Actually the verses in Matthew 24 verses 36 through 44 belong in a very real sense to the verses in first 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 51 and 52 along with 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 13 through 18 as well as Revelation chapter 3 verse 10 and several other verses. These verses are refering to His return in the air to remove His church. His return as a thief. His final return, His actual second coming will be a physical return for the purpose of judgement and to set up His Kingdom. If you have a good concordance it will help you find many more verses that can help you.....May God bless you. dennis |

Hank,...I'm a bit of a computer neophyte. I still have a question about Isaiah 45:11. Can you direct me to a good on-line commentary..or how to post on the 'forum'? My question concerns the last words in verse 11..'command ye me.' The KJV and NASB seems to have the same sense while the NIV seems to change the sense dramatically. Thanks, Dennis
