41 | Do animals have souls? | Not Specified | WalkingTalkingBible | 127836
I'm hearing that animals have souls. This is a topic that I've never really given much thought. I would say right off that they do not, but since I haven't studied this topic, I could be wrong. Is there any Biblical proof that animals have souls? Thanking you in advance, WalkingTalkingBible |

43 | How do you avoid negative satan. | Phil 4:8 | WalkingTalkingBible | 127133
Hi Sweetee, these verses came to mind when I read your request 2 Corinthians 10:4-6: "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." Another is James 4:7: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Ephesians 6:12-18 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" Isaiah 26:3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Do these help? WalkingTalkingBible |

45 | Things people THINK in the BIBLE but not | Bible general Archive 2 | WalkingTalkingBible | 126711
Hi, to fully understand this, you have to know who Christ was - God in the flesh. Now it can be understood that the very nature of God is sinless meaning that He cannot sin. The statement that TheFinalSQL made is correct - it is nowhere in Christ's nature to sin as opposed to man. James 1:13b says, "for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:" Romans 8:3: ". . . God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh. . ." meaning He came in the form of a man (remember, we were made in His image and likeness), not in a sinful form. He had no ability to sin. Your outlook is a very good one. Love is what sets true believers apart from all others who profess to be believers. Your question helped me to take a closer look at ‘fellowship’ and ‘believers.’ This verse came to mind: "Finally, all [of you] should be of one and the same mind (united in spirit), sympathizing [with one another], loving [each other] as brethren [of one household], compassionate and courteous (tenderhearted and humble)." 1 Peter 3:8 (AMP) What stands out in this verse is ‘one and the same mind (united in spirit). True believers have that one and same mind towards Truth because they are submitted to and led by God. There may be different levels of faith (new converts to mature saints), but everyone (of the true Church) is united in spirit, by the Spirit. We believe in one God, three manifestations: the Father, Word, and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7). We believe that God came in the flesh (born of a virgin) to die for the sins of the world. We believe that Jesus resurrected on the third day. We believe that God, manifested as the Holy Spirit, dwells in every baptized (not water) believer. We believe that Jesus in the only mediator between man and God (1 Timothy 2:5). We believe that Jesus will return. What do we call those who believe something other than the truth? What if they believe in a god and not God? Are they still believers? I haven’t found a religion yet that doesn’t have some erroneous teaching and doctrines. However, knowing that God loves every one of us equally, whether, catholic, non-denomination, Jew, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, sinner, etc., we are to love these souls unconditionally. God is not partial when it comes to saving souls. It's not good enough, in God's eyes, that one believes in something; one must believe that God is God (Hebrews 11:6). I believe God places different ones in our lives so that we can be used by Him to bring them into the light of the Truth. Afterall, it is not God's will that any should perish and this should be our will also. Thanks for this opportunity to share my views and let me know your thoughts. WalkingTalkingBible |

LeslieN, are you a new convert? I ask because you seem a little lifted up in your own eyes. We are here to share, study and help each other understand God's Word. If revelation is given to you where one understands because of something that you've stated, give God the glory, you can't do anything on your own. God will not give His glory to another! I'm not being mean, I'm only going by such phrases as "this is my work" and "also a pat on the back, well I can't really get one if no one knows who I am." Let's remember, we're not here to "sound good" to each other or become famous (even though some will), but to help souls desire a closer relationship with God. It's all about Him, not about us. If I've misjudged you, I apologize. WalkingTalkingBible |

I know what you, mean! I don't mind you being long winded, I love to hear testamonies on how God is giving the victory in others lives. You're right, I'm also God's witness. Yes, I have given her the verses on robbing God in tithes, offerings and the blessings (Malachi 3:8-12). I've also given her spiritual advice on believing in God which is trusting Him for everything and also on giving ungrudgingly. The problem I run into the most in teaching about tithing is that people say that they can't afford to tithe. What they don't understand is that they can't afford NOT to tithe! Thanks for your response. WalkingTalkingBible |

Hi Natalyi, I dealt with this situation personally with family members. I found that once I stopped quoting the Bible for every word that came out of their mouths (that's how I got this name!) and for every situation they experienced, they started to pay attention to me. What got their attention was the way I handled myself in adversities, they saw how faithful I was to God, and most of all, they couldn't understand why I am happy all the time. (I owe it all to Jesus!) He said to let our lights shine. This doesn't mean that we have to stop witnessing verbally, but let your life be a witness - how you conduct yourself as a child of God. I believe that this is the reason why we are to study to show ourselves approved to God, only He knows when a soul is ready to receive His word through you. When I was baptized with the Holy Ghost, He led me to first, have a genuine relationship with Himself, and second, to fully submit to Him, that way, when I witness, I wasn't "casting pearls" or just "a voice in the wilderness," neither was I speaking of myself, I was just a vessel used by God. Be encouraged, although the people seem stubborn, you have planted some good seeds. What I would say (if I was led to do so) to someone that say the things in your post is 1) God wants to be first in your life. He will take care of you. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew (6:33) 2) Be thankful for what you have and don't be greedy. "And having food and raiment let us be therewith content." (1 Timothy 6:8) Don't stop verbally witnessing (as led by the Holy Spirit), when they complain, you say, 'How do can I help?' Remember Jesus said that if they don't receive your word, shake the dust off. However, keep praying for them and please keep loving them because that's what draw soul - His love. I'm dealing with someone very close to me now who knows about paying tithes, but refuses with a bunch of excuses. I see this person in all kinds of financial trouble, home falling apart, losing in all areas of life. But this person has to make a choice for herself. All I can do is what God leads me to do, and that's pray and continue to love. Believe it or not, these are much more powerful than Bible verses. Remember, they are spiritually blind and cannot see what you see. Show them the way with your life which shines the Light of Jesus. Don't count them as lost, you may be the sower, someone else will water, but God gives the increase! I hope this helps you. WalkingTalkingBible |

51 | Nailing down John 3:16 | John 3:16 | WalkingTalkingBible | 125855
Hi Huron, yes, "the world" does mean mankind. "Whoever" is anyone who "believes" in Him, believing being the qualifying factor. When I first studied this verse, I asked God 'how could all these people say they BELIEVE yet still practice sin?' First, He revealed to me the true meaning of believe: instead of "believe" or "belief" meaning "what one feels or thinks is right," "believe" means to "fully commit to," "to trust," and "to accept." Now when I plugged those meanings into John 3:16 where believe is, I got a very clear understanding. Everyone has the same choice to make on whether they want to be saved or not - God doesn't value one soul over another - salvation is open to all. However, not all who profess to be believers are true because they disqualify themselves by unbelief in which they continue to practice sin. "the one who practices sin is of the devil;" 1 John 3:8a (NASB) WalkingTalkingBible |

52 | antichrist | Luke 10:27 | WalkingTalkingBible | 125057
Hi, c marengo, do you believe in the Rapture (not a word in our Bible, it comes from a Latin verb meaning "caught up")? I don't view it as an escape as you say some do, but I do know it's going to happen. God says that we are not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). So,when the Tribulation period comes, we will not be on earth. The Rapture marks the end of the Church Age. Allow me to explain: In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, we are told that the dead in Christ will be caught up and all believers that are alive will be caught up together with them. This is the end of the Grace Dispensation (Church Age). Who will be left? The unbelievers: the Jews that did not accept Christ and all unbelieving Gentiles (you know, non-Jews). Christ dying on the cross for the sins of the world was the end of God's dealings with the Jews (Daniel 9:26) and Salvation was opened to all (Matthew 27:51-53 the renting of the veil symbolizes that all have access to God through Christ). Since God had promised the Jews Salvation (deliverance), He has (is going) to keep His word. Christ's death on the cross marked the prophetic 69th week, with one week left. Even though the Jews rejected Christ, during the Tribulation period (the last week - 70th) they (and the Gentiles but the main focus is on the Jews) will be given a final chance to accept Him (the 144,000 and numberless multitude in Revelation 7:9 will). These are real events that will happen to fulfill God's prophesy. For example, all Jews will return to Jerusalem, 10 nations will yield their sovereignty to the Rome (Daniel 7:7 and Revelation 13:1 - ten horns), the Antichrist will be rise (little horn in Daniel 7:8 and Revelation 13:1) and defile the temple (abomination of desolation). He will make a peace treaty with the Jews and break the covenant in the middle of the "week" (Daniel 9:27). Some of these things have not happened, so we know that they will come or else we make God a liar! I'm glad to hear that you have the Holy Ghost because He can teach you these things, also. Thanks for responding. WalkingTalkingBible P.S. Do you believe in dispensations? Maybe I'm misunderstanding (and I'm sorry if I am) but when I speak of Tribulation, I'm talking about the time that will occur after this Grace Dispensation (Church Age). I don't mean that anyone professing Christ won't face tribulation and trials - these are for the refining of our faith (Romans 5:3). |

Hi, nakia1980, the answer that prayon gave to your other question concerning music also goes for this one. While reading your questions, some verses come to mind: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2 and "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 It seems that the Church (Body of Christ) is struggling to draw and satisfy souls who are not really born again. God calls for a holy nation - one that's separated (sanctified) in views, thoughts, and actions. The Church shouldn't have to stoop to worldly activities to draw and keep souls, the Light of Jesus is enough. He says, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:32 (on the cross as well in the hearts of believers). As Christians, we are to glorify God in all that we do. We are to acknowledge Him in all our ways. Also, He wants praise from the sun up until the sun down. I said all that to say, if God can get the glory from you playing cards, play on. If God can get the well deserved praise as you listen to your music, listen on. If these are things you used to do before you were born again, avoid them. The enemy is trying to draw you back. When you are born again, instead of feeling that you can't do things, you find that there are things that you don't want to do. The Holy Ghost will lead you to fun things to do while maintaining your sanctification if you're willing. Thank you for your questions, they really made me do a self exam. WalkingTalkingBible |
