dont you guyz think you could very likely be gambling politically against Christ's will for today? this is not a trick question. Prezs Clinton and Bush have their moral failures, but they stood up for their convictions despite what could be seen as mass exposure of sins search PROCLAIM, and meditate Psalm 2, which some see as the Ascension Commission of Christ for believers through the ages |

Quoting AMP Bible: 1 Cor 5:1 IT IS actually reported that there is sexual immorality [[among you KJV--YOU not thee--individual you in kjv age---kjv you--THE WHOLE CHURCH AS A UNITED COMMUNITY---]], impurity of a sort that is condemned and does not occur even among the heathen(--Gentiles-KJV --probably non-Christians n non-Jews since they gathered together in the same synagogues initially during the apostolic church age); for a man has [his own] father's wife. [Deut. 22:30; 27:20.] ... 1 Cor 5:4 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, on the man who has committed such a deed. When you and my own spirit are met together with the power of our Lord Jesus, 1 Cor 5:5 You are to deliver this man over to Satan for physical discipline [to destroy carnal lusts which prompted him to incest], that [his] spirit may [yet] be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Cor 5:6 [About the condition of your church] your boasting is not good [indeed, it is most unseemly and entirely out of place]. Do you not know that [just] a little leaven will ferment the whole lump [of dough]? 1 Cor 5:7 Purge (clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated [as you are], for Christ, our Passover [Lamb], has been sacrificed. 1 Cor 5:8 Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened [bread] of purity (nobility, honor) and sincerity and [unadulterated] truth. [Exod. 12:19; 13:7; Deut. 16:3.] 1 Cor 5:9 I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people-- 1 Cor 5:10 Not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether! 1 Cor 5:11 But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person. 1 Cor 5:12 What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment [passing censuring sentence on them as the facts require]? 1 Cor 5:13 God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church]. i would agree basically with you and St. Paul!! if hypocrites, in Jesus' very coined words in THAT NEW CONTEXT, were to gatecrash into the Church forcefully not pretending they are sinners, we are to cast them out!! however, spirituality on a more glorious level would empower us with Spirit-Anointed Wisdom and Power to discern when and where to impose and not to, ie when and where possible, even to eat and drink with tax collectors to convert their inclinations, just as the Saviour of the World, Jesus did (Matthew 9:especially v10-13 Romans 5:8 1Timothy1:15) a caveat here. Matthew 23:2-3 v2."...the scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat 3. all therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do, but do not ye after their works, for they say, and (yet) do not"---kjv!!do pray over ephesians 4,Philipp.1 Philipp.1 KJV: v1 to all... saints... bishops 2 Grace be unto you, and peace... from God AND from Jesus 3 i thank my God upon every remembrance of you 4. always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy (emphasis on you ALL or ALL OF YOU reminds us of JCs last words, Father, forgive them, for they know not all they do 5. For your fellowship IN THE GOSPEL... v14: And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear study the follow-up vs 15-18 you should not fear what evil will come of you and your church should the excommunicated backfire in revenge. the Lord keep you in His love, grace and peace as you demonstrate the full outworking of the gospel of real concrete salvation i trust from what you wrote you are a serious Christian, though troubled by this or other issues, how could i help you more? nb if you dont think much of this answer, pray over it and seek others' counsel. this is my first answer ever in my Christian life of nearly 30 years in a www forum, not face-to-face i have no formal theological training i am a lay Bible student who self-studies especially what Zondervan publishes. Zondervan is my favourite publishing house. i like its scholasticism. however i think most readers who buy its reference works dont quite understand much. i am here to help, and i hope this community welcomes and appreciates my presence |

33 | Verse re: a temptress sent by devil? | Prov 7:5 | yonderfulzonderless | 193433
let me try something of my own, Prophetically probably today Government of modern Israel, hear ye Proposition of my Prophecy for today: Modern Israel Tempted Astray and Redeemed through Water and Fire Suffering Baptisms by Christ (HNV Judeo-Christian Bible, Public Domain, a revision of ASV) Isa 47:1 Come down, and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Bavel; sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Kasdim: for you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Isa 47:2 Take the millstones, and grind meal; remove your veil, strip off the train, uncover the leg, pass through the rivers. Isa 47:3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yes, your shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and will spare no man. Isa 47:4 Our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Yisra-el. Isa 47:5 Sit you silent, and get you into darkness, daughter of the Kasdim, for you shall no more be called The mistress of kingdoms. Isa 47:6 I was angry with my people, I profaned my inheritance, and gave them into your hand: you did show them no mercy, on the aged have you very heavily laid your yoke. Isa 47:7 You said, I shall be mistress forever; so that you did not lay these things to your heart, neither did remember the latter end of it. Isa 47:8 Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: Isa 47:9 but these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood,, in their full measure shall they come on you, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments. Isa 47:10 For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, None sees me; your wisdom and your knowledge, it has perverted you, and you have said in your heart, I am, and there is none else besides me. Isa 47:11 Therefore shall evil come on you; you shall not know the dawning of it: and mischief shall fall on you; you shall not be able to put it away: and desolation shall come on you suddenly, which you dont know. Isa 47:12 Stand now with your enchantments, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth; if so be you shall be able to profit, if so be you may prevail. Isa 47:13 You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels: let now the astrologers, the star-gazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from the things that shall come on you. Isa 47:14 Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: it shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before. Isa 47:15 Thus shall the things be to you in which you have labored: those who have trafficked with you from your youth shall wander everyone to his quarter; there shall be none to save you. Isa 48:1 Hear you this, house of Ya-akov, who are called by the name of Yisra-el, and are come forth out of the waters of Yehudah who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Yisra-el, but not in truth, nor in righteousness ... Isa 48:13 Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the eretz, and my right hand has spread out the heavens: when I call to them, they stand up together. Isa 48:14 Assemble yourselves, all you, and hear- who among them has declared these things- He whom the LORD loves shall perform his pleasure on Bavel, and his arm -shall be on- the Kasdim. Isa 48:15 I, even I, have spoken- yes, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous. Isa 48:16 Come you near to me, hear you this,, from the beginning I have not spoken in secret,, from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD has sent me, and his Spirit. Isa 48:17 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Yisra-el: I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go. Isa 48:18 Oh that you had listened to my mitzvot--- then had your shalom been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea: Isa 48:19 your seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of your loins like the grains of it: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before me. Isa 48:20 Go you forth from Bavel, flee you from the Kasdim; with a voice of singing declare you, tell this, utter it even to the end of the eretz: say you, the LORD has redeemed his servant Ya-akov. Isa 48:21 They didn't thirst when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; he split the rock also, and the waters gushed out. Isa 48:22 There is no shalom, says the LORD, to the wicked. END |

34 | EXPLAIN 7CHAPTER, VERSE 8-10 | Ecclesiastes | yonderfulzonderless | 193744
Eccl 7:8 The end of a matter is better than its beginning; Patience of spirit is better than haughtiness of spirit. Eccl 7:9 Do not be eager in your heart to be angry, For anger resides in the bosom of fools. Eccl 7:10 Do not say, "Why is it that the former days were better than these?" For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this. Eccl 7:11 Wisdom what this means to me is, even though the world is getting worse and worse on the outside and the externals, what goes on in your heart, the Kingdom of heaven within you is what counts more and in the end, that the key to victory in Christ Jesus |

35 | Money - the answer for everything? | Ecclesiastes | yonderfulzonderless | 193745
i differ. Zondervan Expositors Bible Commentary summarized by the NIV Bible Commentaries sees those who appreciate this verse in Ecc as those who wish to be members of a prosperous society (like the USA and Japan). --- you want to become as rich as those in society around you. the apostolic colossians (see chapter i below)-were Christians with a special calling, quite different from mine and yours. they had a special understanding of the gospel power in Divine Hope- its redemptive power in bearing fruit and increasing (below), meaning, they bought over Christian slaves out of their slavery, financing their liberty with collective money as a church in unity. i am just emerging out of an argument with my relative, an Assembly of God Senior Pastor, who feels he does not need to give me sgd10 in my local currency as a Red Packet gift, which is quite the standard for Chinese to indicate blessing for the New Year. this has dragged on for half a year. many Christians today are below my expectations of Fruit-bearing warriors who sow Seed. my uncle's point was persuasive though, and it's my point here. Bible Scholar Wayne Grudem in his Systematic Theology sees todays church as very weak. anyway to be brief, Proverbs also says money is a defense when coupled with knowledge, a further advantage. follow my advice: use money in small experiments like in buying herbs and gym equipment selectively and thoughtfully after research eg on www. i have found that fish oil can strengthen the heart whatever your spiritual status, when accompanied by increasing exercise. some specialists claim it can even enlarge your heart muscle to make it less vulnerable, which is good. i think this has happened to me i am 90 kilos but not suffering from physical health because of my herb combos. in many cases you can exceed the dosage if you eat light and if the bottled print doesnt warn you against thisend Bible Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, Col 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ Col 1:4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; Col 1:5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel Col 1:6 which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth; Col 1:7 just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf, Col 1:8 and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit. Col 1:9 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Col 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work .... ... |

36 | Islam vs. Christians | Ecclesiastes | yonderfulzonderless | 193747
generally, i inform you that modern Islam has been riddled with radical uprisings and political outbursts, including manhunts and assassinations of gov leaders especially since the 1960s Islam grows faster than Christianity because converts prefer simplified religion. Christianity is quite abstract for new believers eg Doctrines on Trinity, Salvation, Sanctification, Gifts, Fruits of Spirit, Obligations to everyone else incl. church not many can make out much from volumes of Systematic Theology, even if it's just a one volume one tailored for laymen like Wayne Grudem's i am committed to praying for believers in Islamic countries who are limited by their circumstances in their ability to Witness for Jesus. i use this simplified adult english translation Psalm 22 For the director of music. A psalm of David to the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." 1 My God, my God, why have you deserted me? Why do you seem to be so far away when I need you to save me? Why do you seem to be so far away that you can't hear my groans? 2 My God, I cry out in the daytime. But you don't answer. I cry out at night. I can't keep quiet. 3 But you rule from your throne as the Holy One. You are the God Israel praises. 4 Our people of long ago put their trust in you. They trusted in you, and you saved them. 5 They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you, and you didn't let them down. 6 People treat me like a worm and not a man. They hate me and look down on me. 7 All those who see me laugh at me. They shout at me and make fun of me. They shake their heads at me. 8 They say, "He trusts in the Lord. Let the Lord help him. If the Lord is pleased with him, let him save him." 9 But you brought me out of my mother's body. You made me trust in you even when I was at my mother's breast. 10 From the time I was born, you took good care of me. Ever since I came out of my mother's body, you have been my God. 11 Don't be far away from me. Trouble is near, and there is no one to help me. 12 Many enemies are all around me. They are like strong bulls from the land of Bashan. 13 They are like roaring lions that tear to pieces what they kill. They open their mouths wide to attack me. 14 My strength is like water that is poured out on the ground. I feel as if my bones aren't connected. My heart has turned to wax. It has melted away inside me. 15 My strength is dried up like a piece of broken pottery. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You bring me down to the edge of the grave. 16 A group of sinful people has closed in on me. They are all around me like a pack of dogs. They have pierced my hands and my feet. ... 26 Those who are poor will eat and be satisfied. Those who look to the Lord will praise him. May their hearts be filled with new hope! 27 People from one end of the earth to the other will remember and turn to the Lord. The people of all the nations will bow down before him. 28 The Lord is King. He rules over the nations. 29 All the rich people of the earth will worship God and take part in his feasts. All those who go down to the edge of the grave will fall on their knees in front of him. I'm talking about those who can hardly keep themselves alive. 30 Those who are not yet born will serve him. Those who are born later will be told about the Lord. 31 And they will tell people who have not yet been born that he has done what is right. let me try to help you with my current degree of understanding of the OT as applies to the NT and Jesus life. KJV Ecclesiastes 1:18-2:7 can be applied quite exactly to Jesus' teaching in my view "he that increaseth knowledge(wisdom 18a) increaseth sorrow" JESUS: BEHOLD A MAN'S RICHNESS COMPRISES NOT JUST BY HIS MATERIAL POSSESSIONS; PAUL: YOU NEED TO BE A FOOL TO BE WISE BY CHRIST'S JUDGMENT IN THESE LAST DAYS ECC 2:1 I said in mine heart... i will prove thee with mirth...enjoy...behold, this also is vanity----JESUS STARTED WITH BLESSING A WEDDING MARRIAGE, WITH PARTYING WITH SINNERS AND ROMAN EMPIRE PUPPET TAXMEN, WITH HEALING THE OUTCAST BY JEWISH RELIGIOUS LAW ETC. this proved that those "RIGHTEOUS" WORSHIPPERS who tried their best to enjoy yourself to the full gave up the very essence of spirituality-prophetically to confirm Jesus as Saviour!! situations require believing Christians to march for and into war to invert global comfort zone luxury paradigms so that the Gospel may be needed and availed more, my reading. 2 i said of laughter, it is mad... what doeth it? -HEDONISM AND CARPE DIEM, POP SUPERSTAR, DINING CULTURE TODAY, ZONDERVAN COPYRIGHT MANY STUDY REFERENCE WORKS 1990S 3 i sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine... to lay hold on folly, till i might see...good---THE WISDOM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ELUDES EVEN TOP-RATED KING SOLOMON (QUEEN OF SHEBA'S COMPLIMENTS AND CONCESSION OF HIS SUPREMACY IN WISDOM DESPITE HER EARLIER DOUBTS BEFORE TESTING AND PROBING HIM BEFORE HIS WHOLE COURT AND HERS). SOLOMON PROBES HIS LIMITS USING NATURAL MEANS. JESUS PROBES our LIMITS USING SUPERNATURAL MEANS, YET GIVES UP HIS LIFE WILLINGLY, ON THE CROSS, FOR OUR GLORY 4 i made me great works....-houses, planted... vineyards...gardens and orchards... all kinds of fruits...pools of water...to water...the wood that bringeth forth the trees JESUS THE CARPENTER JOSEPH'S PROTEGE AND UNDERSTUDY. JESUS PROVED GOD'S SUPPORTIVE GRACE, "INCREASED IN WISDOM AND STATURE AMONG GOD AND MAN". THE APOSTLE PAUL TEACHES OF INVISIBLE INFINITE RESOURCES IN THE GIFTS (AS OPPOSED TO HARD CONSTRUCTION AND ENDEAVOURS) AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. JESUS IN TALKING TO THE WOMAN AT THE WELL IN THE GOSPEL ASKS HER TO ask !!God (MEANING GOD THIRSTS AS WE THIRST FOR HIM, SO THAT HE MAY FILL US AS WE SEEK HIM IN UNION, MY PERSONAL ORIGINAL VIEW). JESUS PARTED WITH FINALITY IN CHARGING, "GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE IE WHATEVER HIS CHARACTER) 7. i got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house...great possessions...cattle great and small above all (i guess, some clear justification for war in the Chain of Promptly Obeyed Military Command) the servants (servicemen today in war and at peace, to enforce order and not allow easy anarchy) and maidens (supportive co-workers) support the cattle (weaker believers) great and small (of all backgrounds in life) above all (united in the Spirit in the Church Victorious Over the World--remember Jesus--"i have overcome the world") |

addendum nasb-- john 8:9 When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. c(my comments):this is a Judgment Encounter with the religious Jewish rulers vanquished, and a Redemption-Justification Encounter with Jesus the Saviour Experienced firsthand! MMM v11 She said, No one, Lord. ---------- c: jesus does not condemn those ordered march into war. Jesus does not ache to condemn us, but to redeem. 12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life. c-the Fruits of the Spirit (search the internet for notes etc) 13 So the Pharisees said to Him, You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not true. c- the world outside the Church unfailingly sees us as without reliable truth. But we must stand up for Jesus, right, Amen 14 Jesus answered and said to them, Even if ---- for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. c-many times war leaders dont know exactly how big wars with changing weather and the rest are going, but God knows all 15 You judge according to the flesh; I am not judging anyone. c: (war commanders judge by body movements. i see t Christ prefers not to judge this way. He judges most perfectly by OTHER higher standards … 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. c: jesus IS very concerned with death and sin, their gravity 25 So they were saying to Him, Who are You? Jesus said to them, What have I been saying to you from the beginning - many people are walking zombies, with eyes that dont see, ears that dont hear -- Holy Spirit Reality[[[my comments ]]]]------------Copyright Zondervan NIVConcordance next verse references ----John10:27 James1:19 James1:22(the Bible to churches after Christ ascended a while after he resurrected) Proverbs 1:5(OT) 26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him -I speak to the world. c- (Christ is concerned with non-Jews listens responsively to non-Christians who seek him all out today for everything including his salvation 27 They did not realize that He had been speaking to them about the Father. 39 They answered and said to Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you are Abraham's children, do the deeds of Abraham. c-(abraham went to war to save Lot from evil kings Genesis 14(OT)--i guess jesus does not object to we sacrificing ourselves for others' redemption and salvation and continued security and prosperity. 40 But as it is, you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do. --abraham went to war against evil robber hordes. the religious leaders sought to kill Jesus who never did any evil. They instead freed Barabbas, a bandit (New English Bible, cyright Oxford University Press) ---- 55 and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him -- and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad. 57 So the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty -- have You seen Abraham c---many of the elderly today look down on the young likewise. God can reveal Himself to very young people, even like the OT Prophet Samuel, even like wise adviser Elihu in the OT Book of Job, even like Mary mother of Jesus Christ in the Gospels, even like St. Timothy understudy of St. Paul in the epistle of 1 2Tim 58 Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am. i disagree with all scholars that this was the only claim of jesus to being God. there is at least another compelling verse in the NT, across Bibles. 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple. -in war, avoid unnecessary confrontation and bloodshed, tailgate God even in war, listen for Him mindfully, intently; now in peacetime train your discipleship-in-Christ up through regular quiet time in meditating the Scriptures - possibly the same stones they wanted to throw earlier they now threw at our Saviour this is the shock of global war that turns suddenly against the unprepared and unready; a third of American troops/soldiers have gone mad, the news coming out of Iraq on the www- join me in committing to pray for those at war and those who support war effort honorably--- ----- |
