21 | Do you have to be baptized to be saved? | Rom 6:3 | wwjdonuts | 80113
Note: No you don't need to be baptised (water) to be saved. You need to be baptised (Holy Spirit) to be saved." Please tell how you are so certain that water baptism is not what is being spoke of? Do you have some proof? "Once you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are baptised with the Holy Spirt." Why do you say that Holy Spirit baptism comes after belief? Those who believe in Holy Spirit baptism usually require that it come first and belief follows. Water baptism is an ancient practice which was commanded by Jesus. I do not understand why so many must confuse this issue. Peter commanded baptism and Ananias did too. So do you also interpret Acts 2:38 and 22:16 to be Holy Spirit baptism? - Samantha hear, believe, repent, confess, be baptized, live faithfully to Him |

Thank you. The Bible is God's way of communicating to sinful man, and woman :) It is able to save your soul when implanted - Jas 1:21 God's word is the Truth that when implanted in a searching heart will grow and produce 30,60,100 times itself. God is good to show us His divine will! The problem you see in the Philippines is also common here in the states. Keep teaching! Joe! "...Unregenerate people sin because they desire to sin. They can decide in what ways they are going to sin, and even refrain from some sins for sinful reasons. What they are morally incapable of doing is pleasing God. They do not want to do it, and they are incapable, apart from the Spirit's work, of wanting to do it..."?? How does one 'refrain from sin for sinful reasons'? This is interesting. Do you mean that even when unregenerate man does 'good', it is really bad? It is all bad. Your other statement that "what they are morally incabable of doing is pleasing to God." I've studied this sentence and tried my very best to make sense of it. What is God pleased with? That the unregenerate are morally incapable of doing good? Help me out please. Samanatha Hear the Gospel, Believe it, Confess it, Repent and aline with it, Be baptized into it. - Acts 22:16 |

30 | Bible lied? | Matt 13:55 | wwjdonuts | 79993
This is an interesting question. The preacher's sermon today was from Genesis 4. He emphasized the righteous testimony of Abel. Verse 1 says that Adam 'knew' Eve, a euphemism for marriage relations. In doing so they began to be "fruitful and multiply." The Matthew passage you mention is where we understand that Mary was a virgin when Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. But she was a woman and she was betrothed. After Jesus was born, there was nothing to hinder her from having children with her husband Joseph. Jesus had half-brothers and sisters. God bless you, Samantha Hear the Gospel, - Romans 10:9ff Believe it, Confess it, Repent and aline with it, - Acts 2:38 Be baptized into it. - Acts 22:16 |
