I too believe that God predestines men and women to be saved, but I believe that is all of us, not a chosen few. Not all will make the right choice in time, but the gift is for everyone.

25 | If we sin, can we still go to heaven? | Eph 2:8 | tron613 | 192395
First of all, Yes the bible does say that "our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost" but where do you interpret that to say that smoking is a sin and go even further that she will not go to heaven. I thought no one was perfect and without sin except Jesus Christ and that is what grace was for. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 says 7Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me--to keep me from exalting myself! 8Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness " Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Secondly, since no one is perfect except Jesus are we all not going to Heaven because of the "thorn in our sides" such as: overeating or eating things that are not good for us, drinking, hypocrisy, greed, etc. I think she clearly stated that she is trying/praying to quit and that is all she needs to do. As far as "practicing sin" I think that is something done without conviction from the Holy Ghost and she would not even have asked the question. |

So I still don't feel my question has been answered, you are saying that no one will come to be saved unless the Spirit draws them(on which I agree), so if a person refuses to accept the gift from God because they feel they won't change or don't want to be in the situation to change can we blame them and continue in their words to badger them or should we just pray for them?
27 | Hypocrite and refused to be saved same? | Bible general Archive 3 | tron613 | 192391
Not sure if excommunication is the word or if that is what is implied here, but it does say to "deliver him over to satan" and "not to associate with immoral people" do you interpret this to mean put them out of the church or just ignore them and not associate with them in the church.
28 | I need to know if this is a cult? | Titus | tron613 | 192382
Yeah, after I posted it I noticed the date, however, it can never hurt to remind people to always go with confirmation from the Word or God himself. Tron |

Hooray for you EdB, nothing, I mean nothing should be done or discussed without guidance from God, not that I think this forum is wrong in anyway, but people please Do Not accept any answers or opinions as fact unless you have substantial back-up from the Word of God or confirmation from God himself. 30 | Can we come under a curse today? | Gal 3:13 | tron613 | 192378
Your question really struck a cord with me, being one who believed in "generational curses" I read the answer and agreed and disagreed until I did further research and came to this conclusion, that if in fact we are under a "curse" it was broken when Christ (the New Covenant) came and died for us...Gal. 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"-- And then I read an article by Jason Dulle that really gave some clarity.
31 | Hypocrite and refused to be saved same? | Bible general Archive 3 | tron613 | 192357
Okay I know that the way to become saved is to confess that Jesus died on the the cross to save us from our sins, and the bible may not say that "if we change our sinful ways we can be saved", but it does say that the wages of sin is death. I guess what I am asking is: If someone says they don't want to become saved because they know they are going to keep doing the things they are doing now, are they according to 1 Corinthians 5:1-13 correct in thinking that they will just be cast right back out as a hypocrite?
32 | Refuse to be saved to become hypocrite | Not Specified | tron613 | 192342
1 Corinthians chapter 5:9-15, I know this is dealing with a brother of the church who is being a hypocrite, but explain to me what the difference would be for those who refuse to become saved because they believe they will not (and some don't) change their sinful ways.
