21 | INTERPRETING DREAMS | Daniel | lookN4luv | 136292
Wow! I think the answer to this interpretation is obvious, but before I give you my thoughts on this I need to know more about you. Where are you in your spiritual walk? Are you a Christian? Do you attend Church? Was the person who was standing beside you someone you know? I don't think a public forum is the best place to discuss this matter. If you would like, I can send you my email address. |

22 | Where are the dead before rapture? | 2 Cor 5:6 | lookN4luv | 136282
I believe the book of revelations clearly states that all shall come together to be judged before God. "Even hell shall give up her dead to be judged" this is the final judgement. I personally believe that even someone who died 500 years ago will not know of any time period between their death and this final judgement day.It will seem like an instant to all mankind..... does this make any sense? ... just my opinion. You can search for your key words (like Paradise) at www.gospelcom.net |

23 | Jesus mentioned in the old testament | Is 7:14 | lookN4luv | 136278
Isaiah 7:14 says: "Therefore the Lord will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." from NIV ... notice ... he will be called (not named) Immanuel. No doubt that it is Jesus who is called Immanuel ( which means 'the Christ' ). Also Isaiah 9:6 " For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." from NIV the key words here are "For to us" ... Isaiah was a prophet to four kings of Israel, so he was most likely referring to the hebrew when he said "for to us"... Jesus was born a Jew.

25 | "son of God" vs. "son of Man" | Daniel | lookN4luv | 131783
Thank you Ray. You have given me some interesting scriptures to study. In my studies I have come accross something you might find of interest. In the new Testiment Jesus is reffered to as "Son of Man" 83 times. And all but one of these are Jesus calling himself " Son of Man". huh .......... JKW |

26 | "son of God" vs. "son of Man" | Daniel | lookN4luv | 131729
Hi Ray, and thank you. Would you please tell me where the last two quotes come from? these seem to make a distinct difference in Jesus and the Son of Man. JKW The prophets spoke the words of God, but the Prophet, the Man Jesus Christ spoke the words of God and is known as the Son of Man. God is not a son of man that He should change His mind. If He has spoken, will He not do it? |

27 | KJV only movement | 2 Timothy | lookN4luv | 131677
TIA .. You are probably referring to the Septugent or the Vulgate. There are many arguemennts about using different versions of the Bible, but the answer lies in reading a version that is written in the language you speak. (simple huh) The KJV has brought many people into the knowledge of our Father, God almighty. But, most of us do NOT speak Old English, so a more modern version is more likely to be understood. I really enjoy the NIV. thanks JKW |

31 | any opinions about "thorn in the flesh" | 2 Cor 12:7 | lookN4luv | 131087
Excuse me, sir. But how did you come up with " 911 didn't change the Bible"? No one ever even made a hint about anything like that. In my statement to you, there isn't anything I said that could have been mis-construed to say such as that. And your saying my question has been answered, well that's only your point of veiw. Go back to the thread now and read the wonderful answer Tim Moran offered after yours. I believe NOW the forum has an answer on that thread that we can believe is well rounded. Oh, and about 9-11 did Isaiah Write about this ..Ch.30:25 ??? JKW |

32 | any opinions about "thorn in the flesh" | 2 Cor 12:7 | lookN4luv | 130979
Searcher56 ... I'm sure most if not all of the Bible verses have been discused here before. If this were reason enough to stop asking questions, then this forum wouldn't be needed anymore, would it? I asked for opinions about the "thorn" in this verse, not instructions on using the forum. I have a different view than anything I read in the threads posted back in 2001. The whole world has changed since 9 -11 -01 and maybe someone might have a better understanding, so please, please, please, do not remove questions from the unanswered page when you have no answer/opinion to offer. Sometimes people who post a question might be living in dire straits and seeking the value of the Biblical answer, so they can instate this principal in their life and perhaps walk a little closer with the Creator, Savior, and Holy Spirit. Maybe you should try to find some empathy for the other members here and simply "pass or play". .... ('!') hey ... take it to heart. 2 Corinth. 12:7 ... |

35 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129791
to jelkins, I forgot to mention in my other reply, I also feel that there are no modern day prophets. I believe O.T. prophecies were all stepping stones that lead to Christ. So, with Christ with us, why would we need more prophets, right? JKW |

36 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129790
hi, 1949. Just a thought ... Do you remember the hymn "In the Garden"? the words may help you see anothers understanding of God's communication. I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear falling on my ear the Son of God discloses. And He wlks with me and He talks with me. He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there no other has ever known. in Christ, JKW |

37 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129789
to jelkins, Well, it's been almost a week since you replied to me and I'm just now getting back to you. Thank you for your gentle answers, to which I say ... hummmm... I'm not trying to dispute you on this issue (as you seem well educated) but, it seems I find relation with many scriptures in the book of Joel. I have seen the darkness covering me and I know why the moon turns to blood. And I understand why he calls it "the great and dreadful day of the Lord". So, as I try to evaluate the answers you gave and the use of scriptures, I do not understand why I still find so much relationship with many books of the O.T. as well as the N.T. In Hebrews 10:5-7 it says; "when Christ came into the world, he said: ..... Here I am it is written about me in the scroll - I have come to do your will, O God." now read Psalms 40:6-8 Please don't think I'm trying to confuse scripture. It's just that I have had many situations in my life that I know the Lord, Jesus led me through. And after I was given understanding, I would also find the same circumstance, outcome, and understanding in the scriptures. And I have seen wonderful things happen that I dare not even talk about. In the 7th chapter of Hebrews the Word of God speaks about the priest Melchizedek. Now, obviously, Jesus is the one and only High Priest foever, but read verse 15. " and what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek (not Jesus) appears...." Please understand why I mention this. It is because I have no earthly father, mother,I've never had an aunt, uncle, cousin, or grandparents. I was born the least of 8 children. And now at 40 years old I find myself to be a very passive person who has carried my cross almost all my life. There is very little that still remains of the me I once knew, yet God has written His laws on my heart, and I rejoice in the shadow of His right arm. Maybe you can help my understanding on a few N.T. verses. Luke 11:52 Luke 12:51 Luke 14:26-27 Please tell me your opinion in Mark 10:17- does the rich young ruler inherit eternal life? If you can provide some clarity for me I would greatly appreciate it. I really don't like the feeling of being different in my veiws. I thank you for your time and patience with me. in Christ, JKW |

38 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129224
WoW ! Thank you very much. You have shinned new Light on the subject for me. I truely thank you for taking the time to reply. I know that sometimes I tend to look too deeply (maybe) into scripture. And I try to weigh the adversities ... seeking the answer that stands alone. I would greatly appreciate it if I could just run one more thought by you about this, if I may. ..... I know the Bible is the living, breathing, un-ending Word of God. And it is intended to pertain to our lives today as much as it was the day the paper first met the pen. And it is in this realm of thought that I would like to ask you about Peters statement in Acts2:16 If the prophecy of Joel was being fulfilled in those days, then how does it pertain to me today? Please, Mr. Elkins, understand that I am NOT disputing sciptures. I am mearly trying to make sure that I have a clear understanding that does not contradict the truth. I know there is a vast number of people in the world today that believe they are chosen to be amongst the elite, or select few, who have a special connection to the Father, our God. And we are warned about the false prophets. Thanks, I hope to chat with you again soon, JKW |

39 | Rape in marriage and what to do | Bible general Archive 2 | lookN4luv | 129215
please detseretni43 ... this is JKW Many of us "jump to conclusions" when we are new to this forum. I know I did this foolishly about a year ago. The name actingqueen is her choice as a user name. Believe me, it is very insulting for you to think I would accuse her of "acting" in reguards to the rape. This is a very serious matter that calls for a biblical solution not a gender based idea about being away (but not legally divorced) ... the idea is redundant, and the circle is still broken. You are correct "his actions against you made him a rapist" this is why she must forgive (his actions) then (his actions) are forgiven and no longer do they exist, hence he is no longer a rapist.Just as when we are forgiven by the Father, our God, we are no longer a sinner, but we are regaurded as a saint and joint heirs with Jesus. The Biblical mandate that says she must remain with him lies within the vows of their marrige (as mandated by God's Word). Please do not assume too much ... She loves her husband, that is why it cuts her so deeply. I would never suggest to anyone to subject themself to an abusive situation. Believe me, I am a man, but I too am a victom of sposal abuse both metally and physically. I am ampathedic to her pain, and I can clearly see she is seeking a solution not a cross of self-condemnations and lonliness. To bear our cross is to intently carry anothers burdons, not our own. That is a cross of shame. I hope this helps you to analize my notations to her more clearly. I am not upset and I hope I have not upset you either. Please realize that your statement replies to mine and not to hers. So, she didn't even get to read what you wrote. You must scroll down to the thread links and read it all, then form an educated opinion, and send it to the intended reciever. Thank you, God Blessing to you and your families, JKW |

40 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129145
Thank you. I don't think I've ever heard a more beautiful explaination. I hope many read this thread and come to the same understanding. Brother, I have stood on both sides of that fence, as sad as that is to admit, yet our Lord (in His perfect time) used my shortcomings in an adversed way to benifit my growth in Christ, my Savior. Trust and obey ... For there's no other way, Amen. this is only intended to be a praise note. However, I would like to ask you just one question, and if you feel you can help me better understand, then please reply when you have the time. ... You had mentioned that if God were talking to many individuals we would need those words in order to live by EVERY Word of God. Well, OK I understand your analogy, but do you believe that there are modern-day Prophets and Visionaries? Here is the reason I ask; God's Word tells us "in the last days...old men will dream dreams and see visions and your son's and daughters will give prophesy..." One other thing that's not easy to understand ... Saul, Isreal's 1st king had to go to Sammual to inquire of the will of God, why did he not have access to hear and understand God for himself? I believe God's ways are unchanging ... the same yesterday , today , and tomorrow. So wouldn't that also include the Prophets? thank you again, JKW |
