21 | What is the LIght in Genesis 1 | Gen 1:1 | greatfullydead | 188142
In Genesis 1:3 God says let there be light. My question is this light simply the sun or light in general. if it is just light can this be used to support the big bang theory? I believe that Genesis 1:1-2 Bring into focus the earth, and thus narrowing what is meant by light when he does so in v.3. Please share.

24 | Active Homosexuals: Truly Christian? | Rom 1:21 | greatfullydead | 86963
This scripture clearly states how those who exchnage the truth of God for a lie will be in danger of recieving the "due penalty for their perversion". I think the point at which that happens is for God to determine and our role is to help them to repent and turn to God. let me know what ya think |

25 | disciplerami, are they saved or lost? | Rom 10:17 | greatfullydead | 77059
third option...ROMANS 2:14 judges according to heart and concience. When gentiles who do not have the law, do by nature the things required by the law, they become a law for themselves, eventhough they do not have the law, since they know the requirememts of the law is written on their heart, their conciences bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, even defending them. |

How do you select deacons among a huge congregation?
33 | deacons | 1 Tim 3:8 | greatfullydead | 77894
Thank you for the response, however I do not completely understand... We want decons to be selected by God, but practically how does that work... we have a congregation of about 300 and we want to have biblical leadership. I donot see democracy in the scriptures so I agree that a vote is out, but who judges the test results (undoubtedly God gives the test and he judges pass/fail, but how do we keep human will out of the picture?) |

34 | What about the selection? | 1 Tim 3:8 | greatfullydead | 77931
How did they choose the men? Vote? Some people might have thought the Joe Disciple was full of the spirit and capable of meeting the criteria, whose to say that person wasn't right, or say there was 9 men who qualified, what happened to the other two? |
