21 | Partner? | Matthew | gab | 90588 | ||
Hi, No offense taken at all. Before I posted the question from my first original post. I didnt know what term to use wether to use partner, girl friend, courting. I just didnt know what to use. She is not my wife and we do not live together. But I just used the word partner to indicate this is the lady in waiting. If you read my first orignal post you will realise that it indicates(my apologies on the confusion)she is not my partner as in wife or do we live together. My gratitude to the other brethren that posted their advice through the Word of GOD. Glad I didnt confuse them. Again my sincere apologies on any confusion regards, gab |

Hi, To the saints and faithful brethren in our LORD Jesus Christ Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. This is just to tell and encourage everyone going through the same problem. I thank everyone that gave me advice through the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ. I realised I was doing everything in my own strength and capabilities. The Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ showed me and directed me on what to do. After all this happened between my partner and I. I started to pray and fast for her salvation, our relationship and every other thing that was going on in my life. My brethrens in Christ prayer truly WORKS. I know prayer works but as a believer we tend to forget that Jesus Christ is always there with us in our times of joy, trouble, afflictions, in our minds or what ever we may be doing but He is always there through is Holy Spirit. I thank you brethrens for letting me realise I had to let go. during this process I left everything totally to the HOly Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ and just praying and feeding on the Word. I prayed to our Lord Jesus that if this woman is truly for me let her come back on her own free will and if not let your Good will be done and fulfilled in my life. I just want to tell you that Jesus Christ truly cares for us. He cares about our feeelings, our thoughts, our troubles. He cares for everything as long as all our trust is in Him and that He comes first in our lives. My partner called me back a few weeks back saying how she wants to work things out explaining she didnt know what was going on in her mind that she was just at a confused state. Cut the story short we have patched things up and everything is back to normal its like nothing happened. The Holy Spirit really took control of the situation after I let go. She has started coming back to church and started praying together again. One thing the Holy Spirit has thought me that I realise is that prayer works and whenever we have troubles the first thing is to turn to God not how we can quickly fix the situation. I have also realised through the Holy Spirit that we are all not on the same faith level(i used to really try and push and shove my partner into the things of GOD before this and when she didnt do it we used to argue). Now I have learnt that if there something that I dont like or is upsetting me about my partner I know who to turn to. JESUS CHRIST. After all He created her so He knows her better than I do. I have really learnt how to be patient and prayerful now and not to worry about things because GOD ALMIGHTY through our LORD JESUS CHRIST is in absolute control of all things. My partner still sees the woman friend she has(who i used to blame as part of the problem). She still goes out sometimes but I have learnt that I am not the one who does the changing JESUS CHRIST does and that has giving me all the peace in which i didnt have before. Everytime I think of Jesus Christ now I just feel very happy because our GOD is a very Good GOD. I still have a lot of issues in my life but this situation has nade me realise that whatever we may go or pass through Jesus CHrist is always present He might want you to seek him more sometimes but I assure you my brethrens in Christ our LORD Jesus Christ is always there. A friend of mine phoned me a few days ago who is going through a similar problem. I was so pleased to tell him what to do. LEave it to GOD through His Holy Spirit and what ever you do dont try and fix things with your own strength because you will definately fail. Just pray. Even my brother so the changes and he started praying for his partner as well and he as told his partner has changed miraculously as well. I pray this helps someone on this forum going through the same problem. I also thank everyone who took time to reply to me. I thank Jesus Christ for you all. GOD BLESS you all and everyone else who believe JESUS CHRIST is LORD regards, gab |

Hi CurtMan, I have read it and I understand. I really wanted to help my partner through this but I realised I was trying to use my own strength and abilities instead of living it all to GOD. I actaully spoke to my partner again and she has started drinking and getting drunk and going out clubbing again(with that woman) like we both used to be before. She said she had no feelings for me anymore(the reason I dont know) I have made up my mind to leave her and put her in my prayers. But I have to say I really wanted GOD to turn her back around to how devoted she was before. My relationship before my partner now ended up in a breakup as well but I was deep in world then(I didnt know Jesus then). And I got over that quite easily by just looking for other woman and sleeping around. That was when I met this partner in which in which we both gave our lives to Christ becase we found out that we both had a lot in common and someone showed us Jesus Christ was the answer. I just feel disappointed and almost feel responsible for the way she has back sliding after a year and half of being devoted to GOD. I really felt attached together because we both started the same way in world, gave our lives to GOD together and the world just swifted her by assigning that woman on her. I am going to stay single for a while and pray to our Master Jesus Christ to show me the way to seek him deeper and to also strengthen me and keep me away from the world. May GOD in is infinite mercy bless and strengthen us(and anyone else in the world going through the same problem) through is beloved blessed Son our LORD Jesus Christ. Amen regards, gab |

Hi CurtMan, Thanks for taking time to reply me. As this is very important to me. My partner was wonderful before she met this woman. I really what I say that she was very diligent in the things of God. I just dont understand how someone can change in a space of a few months after being so wonderful most of the time in our relationship. I dont know wether this is a battle I Have to pray against so has to win her soul/salvation back(i wont deny a minute that I dont still want her back because I do). This woman is also the only friend she has because all her other friends have always taken advantage of her. I know how kind hearted my partner is and I have also known that she is very easily influenced beacsue im the only guy she's been with thats never taken advantage of her. But since this aquintace started with her and this woman and also things have rapidly changed its like she doesnt know God anymore. I would have found it easy to just count it as the woman not for me if she hadnt been so caring towards me before she met this woman. And I mean it when I say my Partner has done so much for me, our church and our lives. I dont know what to do? I have tried to make her come down and see our pastor and I still can but I want her to be the one to make the move for once? regards, gab |

Hi, Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel so confused on what to do as a christian in this matter. My partner(23 yrs old) and I(25 yrs old, we are not married) I became saved first and then I drew her to Christ as well. She is the only one in her family that is saved they all dont believe in God. We both used to be in the world till we became saved. We do not live together and she lives just about and 2hrs train journey away. We have been together for about 2 and half years. I was a bit more spritually higher than she was being that I did all the encouragement and she was very diligent. We both were in the ushers department and she was dedicated she used to come to church 3 times a month from were she lived. Everything was fine. And she has seen the power of God manifest in her life. God has put her in University(in her final year soon), provided her with a job, she bought a new car, she stooped drinking, going clubbing. God really made a lot of changes in both of us Then she met this woman at work about 6months ago. The woman is 31 yrs of age and my partner is 23 yrs. This woman was a non beliver. Since my partner meant this woman she as really changed. She has stopped coming to church, she nearly broke up with me within this time in which I spoke to her if this is what she really wanted and she said no then we got back together. She has stopped praying with me and reading the bible with me, she doesnt come and see me anymore or come to church. She used to tell me everything about this woman but as stopped telling me things. And I did warn her but i didnt want her to think I was ruling her by telling her what friends she can have. The woman has 3 kids with her boyfriend(they are not married) and before my Partner changed towards me she used to tell me how the woman says she hates her boyfriend, her life and all sorts of negative things. Since my partner has been with this woman she has started drinking again, going out clubbing again and doest want to hear anything about God or church. I tried to work things out because I knew this was an attack on our relationship and was a spiritual battle for the salvation of my partner. At this stage in the relationship the woman seems to have a great hold on her that she is always talks to the woman more than she talks to me. She talks to the woman like 5hrs in a go. And everytime I try and talk she gets very rude to, talks to me like dirt, drops the phone on me and she gets defensive about the woman which leads to arguements. I then arranged at one time to come down and see her(at this point we were still actively together) booked my train ticket, packed my bags etc. She then phoned me from the womans house and told me not to come down at that day reason being she was going out with the woman becasue she just finished her exams. I then replied to her which is more important us working things out between us or you going out. At this point I ws quite annoyed and told her if I didnt come down today that it was over between us. She rudely said she didnt care. My apologies on the long question. But what can I do as a christian. After this incident she called be 5 days later saying she wanted to say hello and see how I was. I spoke to her briefly and she didnt even apologise or mentioned how she treated me or even said that she wants to work things out. She wanted me to make the first move as usual but I didnt. She hasnt called be back since about two days now from the date of this posting. I know she wants me to make the first move because I havent called her either since the incident. But I know if I call her she will say she wants to work things out and then think im easy by thinking she can get away with anything and all il do is just get angry for few days. But this time I have held out much longer. I dont know what to do? I really Love my partner and we have both been very faithful to each other and to God before she met this woman Should I simply forget about her? Please, Please any advice on what to do as a Christian and what the scripture says will be greatly appreciated. regards, gab |
