21 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 13327
I don't think it should be an issue either, but it certainly becomes one if a christian who worships Christ on sunday is accepting the mark of the antichrist by doing so. And is eternally condemned for worshipping Christ on the wrong day. |

22 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 13326
Perhaps I misunderstand, but where do you find that the laws that require sacrifice were " man made"? God didn't stop speaking after He gave the first ten and tell Moses to continue on. He gave the whole law without division. And he who lives under the Law is required to do ALL of the law. Gal 5:3 |

23 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 13262
But if I may point out. All of this is useless if the mark of the beast is worshiping Christ on sunday. For all who receive the mark of the beast are condemned. By your interpretation ones destiny is determined by which day one worships on. So are all christians who worship on sunday and have a saving relationship with Christ then condemned? Again that seems to be adding a requirement to the work of Christ.

25 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 13107
Facinating reading, thank you! Is your relationship with God based on keeping the law? All 613 of them?
26 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 13104
We are the ones who determine our eternal destiny by choosing to receive God's grace through the sacrifice of His Son or By refusing the same. He simply enforces the consequences of our choice.Rev. 14:9-11 is very clear that all who receive the mark are condemned. If that mark is worshipping on sunday then all who worship on sunday are condemned regardless of their belief in Christ? Aren't you adding something to the FINISHED work of Christ by doing this?
27 | Is the Christian under Law? | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12946
Good! I thought we were more in agreement than not. By establish I meant that Gods law becomes my hearts rule/guide because it is the expression of God's heart. And because His Spirit, the HOLY Spirit resides in my spirit!
28 | Is the Christian under Law? | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12926
The error of the pharisees wasn't that they didn't embrace the higher morality of the law but that they were spiritually dead. Rom 3:9-20. The reason that David embraced the law was because he was a partaker of the Holy Spirit. Is ones relationship with God established through the law, or is the law established through ones relationship with God? |

29 | Is the Christian under Law? | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12866
What Scriptures did God use to convict Adam of sin? Cain? Abraham? Isaac? Jacob? The purpose of the Law is to reveal the sin that is in us, to show us our need to be saved from the penalty of breaking the law, not to set up a standard whereby we measure our growth in our righteousness. That was the mistake of the jews, that they used the law to establish their own righteousness rather than recognize the sin in them. The result was that their relationship was with a dead law rather than the Living God. |

30 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12830
Or is it that one must have faith in Jesus AND only worship Him on Saturdays or one's destiny is Hell. Wasn't the atonement of His blood sufficient?
31 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12813
So a one's eternal destiny is determined by what day they worship on rather than who they worship?
32 | "seal of God" | Ex 1:1 | fatherchuck | 12734
If you believe keeping the seventh day sabbath is the seal of God, do you then also believe that keeping sunday sabbath is the mark of the beastas stated in Rev 13:16-18 and Rev 14:9-12?
33 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | fatherchuck | 12571
Righteousness and unrighteousness are the products of moral judgement, choices. The ability to know right from wrong and to make choices based on that knowledge. Innocence is the absence of the knowledge of right and wrong. The moral knowledge required for making righteous or unrighteous choices is lacking in the innocent/ children. The children were neither righteous nor unrighteous. they were innocent, morally neutral. And perhaps as in the case of Jeroboam's son they were taken by the Lord to spare them from the inevitable corruption that would be their lot in such societies. |

34 | Who was the Proverbs 31 wife? | Prov 31:10 | fatherchuck | 12318
My vote would go for Leah, Jacob's wife and Hannah Elkanah's wife. Both women were sorely tried by their adversaries and their responses were to turn to the Lord rather than turn on their adversary or their husbands. Look them up! |

35 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | fatherchuck | 12317
Innocence? In 1 Kings 14: 1-13 the story is told of Abijah the son of Jeroboam becoming sick and dying. The reason given by the Lord was because something GOOD was found in him toward the Lord. It would seem that the Lord took him to spare him the corrupting influences that would surround him as he grew up in Jeroboam's house. Death is not the worst that can happen to one if one dies in innocence and perhaps that is why God may have spared the children of such corrupt societies as the pre-flood earth, Sodom and Gomorrah, Caanan, etc. through death. |

36 | Can a woman with no womb bear a child? | Bible general Archive 1 | fatherchuck | 12091
May I suggest that you encourage her to seek counsel with her pastor. I would doubt the validity of a vision that produced an obsession and torment. Further if the fruit of this obsession is causing distance in her relationship with her husband it would also cause one to suspect it's source. Prov 10:22 " It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, He adds NO SORROW to it." If this vision were of God it would seem that it should produce peace within herself and unity with her husband and that doesn't appear to be the situation. |

37 | Why not mention the other attributes? | Job 1:9 | fatherchuck | 11927
Because the whole thrust of Satan's argument was that these attributes of Job weren't genuine. Job only displayed these qualities to gain benefit from God and when the benefits ceased so would the qualities of righteousness. But he was wrong, as usual.
38 | What was Eli's son's sin against God? | 1 Sam 2:25 | fatherchuck | 11736
I wonder if Eli's warning wasn't more self serving than genuine for he is rebuked by the Lord in verse 29 for also partaking in removing the best of every offering for themselves, and in 3:13 for honoring his sons above the Lord. I question whether a righteous parent would make an idol out of their children as apparently Eli had done. |

39 | What do you do with stangers you meet? | Heb 13:2 | fatherchuck | 11735
I don't have much experience entertaining angels, that I know of, but I do have some experience entertaining the Lord, Himself. If I may... One of the first times was when I was getting off work, about 2 a.m. I saw Him standing on a street corner so I invited Him out to tea and donuts. During the discussion I discovered He had no where to sleep for the night so He spent the night at our house and we gave him breakfast before sending Him on His way. I admit that He didn't clean up much after Himself, but it was kind of exciting to think that I was washing the Lord's dishes. Another time my wife and I were able to bring Him some groceries during a time when He had just made a career change and His budget was rather tight. The look on His face when He saw the food we had for Him, especially the strawberries, was priceless. Also... I was able to teach Him to drive. Now some may think that this would be a piece of cake, him being the Lord and all. But He had just come from the Ukraine and didn't speak much English, read even less, and when the policeman pulled Him over for changing lanes without signaling He just about lost it! His experience with police in the Ukraine wasn't a pleasant one. Another aspect about entertaining the Lord as opposed to entertaining angels is that when entertaining angels you are dependent upon their schedules as to when they may show up. But the opportunities for entertaining the Lord are almost everyday and almost endless. I know... but I'm not being facetious, I'm as serious as life. I know you have read it, but look at it again, Matt.25:31-40. And should the opportunity arise for you to entertain the Lord, let me give you a hint so you will recognize Him when you see Him. He doesn't look at all like those pictures we have of Him hanging in our churches. He might not look like what you expect Him to, but don't be fooled! It REALLY is Him. |

40 | What was Eli's son's sin against God? | 1 Sam 2:25 | fatherchuck | 11624
Ver 17..."for the men abhorred the offering of the Lord." Ver 24... "ye make the Lord's people to transgress." Eli's sons served as priests also and were therefore representatives of God to the people. Responsible to teach the people who God was and what His laws were. By their behavior they were expressing contempt for God's offerings, contempt for God. Sleeping with the women who served, was turning God's tabernacle into a house of prostitution. All of this before the nation of Israel to whom they were to be examples of righteousness, to represent God before Israel. In short they were taking God's name in vain in a very blatant manner, a sin that God promises will not go unpunished. Ex 20:7 |
