23 | Why did God Create Satan? | Luke 4:1 | armond888 | 193557
Great question... But let me see if I can answer it like this.. we would not know obedience unless we know disobedience... GOD did not want robots.. He wanted people made in His image and His likeness and people who choose to follow HIM.. Satan serves to create the need to choose through temptation.. Luke 4:2 For (during) forty days in the wilderness (desert), where He was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, He was hungry. Heb 5:8 Although He was a Son, He learned [active, special] obedience through what He suffered Heb 5:9 And, [His completed experience] making Him perfectly [equipped], He became the Author and Source of eternal salvation to all those who give heed and obey Him, |

Deut 18:10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 2 Deut 18:14 "For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you to do so. 3 2 Kin 9:22 When Joram saw Jehu, he said, "Is it peace, Jehu?" And he answered, "What peace, so long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?" 4 2 Kin 21:6 He made his son pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and used divination, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD provoking Him to anger. 5 2 Chr 33:6 He made his sons pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, used divination, practiced sorcery and dealt with mediums and spiritists. 30 | Did Jesus,God,die at the crucifition | Phil 2:5 | armond888 | 183406
God is Immortal - He Can never die. Jesus served as a man and that is why He often refered to Himself as the Son of MAN. He had to live sinlessly as a man to be a sacrifice for man Phil 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Phil 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, Phil 2:7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Phil 2:8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Luke 12:10 "And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him. If Jesus was walking in HIS Divinity then anyone saying anything against HIM would be commiting Blasphemy |

31 | being accountable for hearing the truth | 2 Pet 2:20 | armond888 | 137573
2 Pet 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 2 Pet 2:21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. 2 Pet 2:22 It has happened to them according to the true proverb, "A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT," and, "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire." |

33 | Are blessings based on mataterials? | Is 53:5 | armond888 | 136553
Please not the scriptures below.. clearly.. blessing can be apart from material goods..otherwise why would the scripture say you are blessed regardless of your outward condition.. Matt 5:3 Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous--with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven! 2 Matt 5:4 Blessed and enviably happy [with a happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted! [Isa. 61:2.] 3 Matt 5:5 Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous--with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth! [Ps. 37:11.] 4 Matt 5:6 Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa. 55:1, 2.] 5 Matt 5:7 Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous--with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy! 6 Matt 5:8 Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous--possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see |

34 | why was the thief saved without baptism? | Luke 23:43 | armond888 | 133106
You know , that is absolutely right..Thanks , although I was thinking the reference was about the baptism of repentence , or the Baptism of John that was being done during that time during Jesus's ministry but prior to His death and resurrection, making the way for Jesus.. Matt 21:25 "The baptism of John was from what source, from heaven or from men?" And they began reasoning among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say to us, 'Then why did you not believe him?' 3 Mark 1:4 John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Matt 3:1 Now in those days John the Baptist *came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, Matt 3:2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 3:3 For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet when he said, "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, 'MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT!'" Matt 3:4 Now John himself had a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey. Matt 3:5 Then Jerusalem was going out to him, and all Judea and all the district around the Jordan; Matt 3:6 and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins. Matt 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Matt 3:8 "Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance |

35 | Do all men belong to God? | Job 33:6 | armond888 | 132379
I was not out to prove anything.. I didnt write those scriptures .. they are authored by the Holy Spirit..You had to completly ignore all the scriptures I listed to come up with your reply.. If you choose to ignore them , thats between you and the Lord.. I do hope this ends the discussion , debate or whatever it is.. 2 Tim 2:23 But refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. |

36 | Do all men belong to God? | Job 33:6 | armond888 | 132267
Ok let me list a few more scriptures that might bring clarity to the issue at hand. John 15:16 "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. Rom 9:11 for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God's purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, Rom 9:12 it was said to her, "THE OLDER WILL SERVE THE YOUNGER." Rom 9:13 Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! Rom 9:15 For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." Rom 9:16 So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. John 1:13 Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!] Rom 9:18 So then He has mercy on whomever He wills (chooses) and He hardens (makes stubborn and unyielding the heart of) whomever He wills. Rom 9:19 You will say to me, Why then does He still find fault and blame us [for sinning]? For who can resist and withstand His will? Rom 9:20 But who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will what is formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus? [Isa. 29:16; 45:9.] Rom 9:21 Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same mass (lump) one vessel for beauty and distinction and honorable use, and another for menial or ignoble and dishonorable use? The references above address your question ..other that what is in black in white out of the WORD of GOD, I prefer not to comment. |

37 | why was the thief saved without baptism? | Luke 23:43 | armond888 | 132242
Why was the thief saved without baptism...because God will have mercy and not sacrifice... when it was not possible for the thief to be Baptisted God had mercy and allowed the thief to be excused from the requirement..after all Jesus is LORD .. even of Baptism.. Matt 12:3 He said to them, Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, and those who accompanied him--[Lev. 24:9; I Sam. 21:1-6.] Matt 12:4 How he went into the house of God and ate the loaves of the showbread--which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for the men who accompanied him, but for the priests only? Matt 12:5 Or have you never read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the sanctity of the Sabbath [breaking it] and yet are guiltless? [Num. 28:9, 10.] Matt 12:6 But I tell you, Something greater and more exalted and more majestic than the temple is here! Matt 12:7 And if you had only known what this saying means, I desire mercy [readiness to help, to spare, to forgive] rather than sacrifice and sacrificial victims, you would not have condemned the guiltless |

38 | Do all men belong to God? | Job 33:6 | armond888 | 132150
Hello Angel Thanks for the comment.. I am not saying anything I am simply listing scriptures in reference to the question.. I consider My own personal opinions worthless . .. The Bible speaks very well for itself.... 2 Pet 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 2 Pet 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God I always say that If you read something and would like to know the intent of the author , you have to ask the author, anything else is only conjecture.. Fortunately for us we have the Holy Spirit and He will lead and guide us into all truth John 6:44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day. John 6:45 It is written in [the book of] the Prophets, And they shall all be taught of God [have Him in person for their Teacher]. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me--[Isa. 54:13.] |

39 | Do all men belong to God? | Job 33:6 | armond888 | 131918
I should add.. your question is a somewhat ambiguous one .. since we know..Psalms 24:1, A Psalm of David. The earth [is] the LORD’S and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.. Then yes all MEN are under God’s ownership and or sovereign rule..However I assumed you were referring to are all men OF God.. and again the answer would be no..
40 | Do all men belong to God? | Job 33:6 | armond888 | 131917
It is clear throughout the Bible that indeed ALL men do NOT belong to GOD.. not an easy pill to shallow.. puts a big hole in the "free will" concept.. Rom 9:16 So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. Rom 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE I RAISED YOU UP, TO DEMONSTRATE MY POWER IN YOU, AND THAT MY NAME MIGHT BE PROCLAIMED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH." Rom 9:18 So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Rom 9:22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? Rom 9:23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, Rom 9:24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles. Matt 13:37 And He said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, Matt 13:38 and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; |
