22 | PROVE ME: God's challenge to tithers | Bible general Archive 2 | arapga | 102456
I don't see any big deal or issue as to whether tithing is O.T. or N.T., under law or grace; I think it is a matter of attitude and the love for God, His church and the Spreading of the Gospel. The question I see that is rather more interesting to discuss about and which I think may help open the understanding of many on tithing issues is God's challenge - PROVE ME: the challenge to tithers

26 | GREAT COMMISSION: Is it Great Omission? | Matt 28:19 | arapga | 101603
I was told that the Great Commission was great because it was for the salvation of the human race, and it was the Lord who says it, and should therefore be fulfilled to the instruction as given. Being very observant, it become very obvious to me that the GREAT COMMISSION becomes the GREAT OMISSION becasue each time the Gospel salvation is preached, I frequently noticed the evangelists omit the instruction of baptism. They simply end the crusade with "Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Persoanl Lord and Savior." Don't they have to include baptism in their messages and acceptance?
27 | Baby dedications a matter of conscience? | Luke 2:27 | arapga | 101539
Most babies in the world are not dedicated to the Lord. But probably like any government, they register every born baby, for Census and Statistic Purpose. The Registration Certificates are also used when babies grow old and are enrolled in School. In the Philippines, when babies are brought to the Church for Dedication Rites, parents are issued by the Church the Babies Dedication Certificates. In cases the baby was not registered or otherwise; parents use the Dedication Certificates as Status Evidence in enrolling their children. STATUS PROOF of the name of the child, parents, birthday, birthplace, etc. It will answer the School Enrolment Requirements. Dedication does not substitute Government Regitartion Certificates but they are accepted as proof for the status of the child. CHILD DEDICATION I believe is a Practise that has been carried by our Christian Churches. It is not by conscience alone but by good faith. I think to dedicate or offer aour babies to the Lord would mean few significant things: It is a RECOGNITION that the babies are special gifts to parents. It means ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that we, parents are accepting the babies in good faith. It also means COMMITMENT; it is commiting back the child to the Lord for divine protection. It is a time of THANKSGIVING. During Child Dedication, parents choose sponsors or witnesses. They also stand as second parents, in case parents died at the age when the child has not yet reached the age of accountability; the second parents takes the full responsibility over the child. MOUNTAIN PEOPLE also dedicate their babies. Where do they get the idea of Child Dedication? It could probably be PARENTAL INSTINCT to do offer their babies to a Supreme Being they worship as their god. I think it is more INSTINCT than CONSCIENCE; perhaps to Christians CONSCIENCE may apply because we know that anything that we have should be dedicated or offered to the Lord. I hope I contributed to the answers already given to you. TONY AND JOY arapga@info.com.ph
28 | "JESUS ONLY!" Is He not really? | John 10:30 | arapga | 101627
I heard and read almost every denominational preachers preached the same imphasis. Both preached with anointing like there is no one else but Him. But when they discuss about the Godhead, they start to part ways, and argue, why? Isn't Jesus really Him? and Him alone?
29 | ABANDONED WIFE: Can remarry? | John 14:27 | arapga | 101600
Her husband left her with 5 children, she earned hard money to support children's schooling and other needs. While her husband for ten years have been enjoying life with another woman. She wants to remarry because a single man (a long known Churchmate) showed love and interest in her and her children. But for fear that she is going to commit sin against God, she choose to suffer her burden and pain. Should she go to her grave grieving and unhappy because as she was told: the Bible says that she should remain single, and if she remarried she will commit adultery? Should not this man be considered God-given gift to her?

33 | WHO SAVED NOAH: Ark or Water? | Heb 11:7 | arapga | 101595
If Noah went into the Ark and the water did not arrived, for forty days: would not the wicked people mocked them to death? If the water did not come, would they not starved themselves to death, or should they not turn the Ark into a cemetery? In God's wisdom, was Peter true when he said, "Noah and his family was saved by water?" We, men may argue to the truth. We may to our death claim that they were saved by the Ark, for without the ark they should not be safe and saved. Notwithstanding, with the Ark without the water, will also mean death to them. Was God revealing something to us something worth believing? And that is "The like figure, baptism also save us now, not putting away the filth of the flesh but ans answer of a good conscience toward God."
