21 | Should we Divorce? | Mal 2:16 | LampLight | 31374
I agree with the previous posting!! I understand your situation more now that I have read your previous positngs of your problem. He is right, you do need to humble yourself before the Lord, seek him ernestly, pour your heart our and tell him how you do not want to grieve him, but do his will. Remember, God does know the true intentions of our heart, more than we ever will. He does work out all things for the good of ourselves and others. Also during this time you may need to seek out and ask Gos what is he trying to teach you at this point in time of our life. Many times, often times it is when we are in deep tribulation that God not only want's to change our lives, but to teach us many valuable life changing lessons. I know, been there, done that...Don't have the tee-shirt yet. Still there!! When you feel very burdened, lay it upon him, rest in him as he does promise us that the weary and the weak shall find rest and peace in me, not as the world gives, but only as he can give. Maybe he wants you to learn to trust him more, to lay these cares completely at his feet..and leave them there, trust me he know how you are hurting and he will resolve this for you. Keep the faith, my best advise is to cling ever so close to him, for he is your comlete comfort and guide. Reemember he will never leave you nor forsake you.....In Jesus Love, |

22 | Trying to understand: | Mal 2:16 | LampLight | 31327
Refer to 1 Corinthans 7:1-7:40 regarding the duties of marriage. You are referring to 1 Corinthans 7:14. For the unbelieving husband is santified by the by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is santified by the husband; else were your children unclean; but now are holy. This is where the misunderstanding comes in. This statement in the bible refers to couples who were married as unbelievers, then one was saved which then saves the other. If one is a believer and the other is a non believer it is best not to marry as you are not of the same spirit, least the believer could weaken in his spiritual walk with Christ. We are to edify, encourge and uplift one another. This is more difficult when one believes and one does not. God greatly blesses a Marriage where both are believers and the rewards are great. There is a verse in the bible, do not know the excat verse off hand but it comes to mind when answering this question. We are to be of the same yoke. This interpretation is given like the image of 2 oxen yoked together in the field to do work side by side; one oxen is trained and disciplines to the yoke around it's neck, the other is not. Imagine the two of them yoked together in the field trying to do some serious work? Gods work and lifestlye is very serious and we must be comitted to his will, plan and purposes in our life. Afterall, his plan, will and purpose is best...when we trust him and do his will, it always turns out better than we could ever have imagined. Trust God, pray a little harder for him to reveal his will, plan and purpose for you life. |

23 | Be ye of the same yoke | 1 Corinthians | LampLight | 31325
Corinthians 7:1-7:40 will guide you on the Marriage relationship according to Gods word. Per the Kings James Verision: 7:14 does address your concern: For the unbeliving Husband is santified by the Wife, and the unbelieving wife is santified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are holy. Where the confusion comes in is by this statement. This pretains to both partners that are 1st married as non-believers and then one becomes saved, the other is then saved by the belief of that partner. We are warned not the keep close company with non-believers least our spitits be changed or weakened. If you are a Christian, you should really seek after Gods true desire for you which is eternal happiness and there is a much greater chance of success for that by Marrying another believer so that the two of you are of the same spirit. Gods word states that the Man is the head of the household, and by being so is primarially responible for teaching his Children Gods word as well as maintianing a Good, Close spiritual relationship with Christ that reflects in the home. |

24 | Duty of Pastor and Board Members! | Matt 5:13 | LampLight | 31321
We are the salt and the light of the earth by being Children of God. We are not here to serve things that serve us, but to serve one another in Love, Kindness and Patience. If you see a need in the Church, any need at all..Don't be afraid to express it (lovingly), even organize it. A little humor when mentioning this need would be helpful; ie: Since we are the salt of the earth, we need to spread some salt, least we all back slide : )
