21 | NEITHER POVERTY OR RICHES LEST I........ | Ecclesiastes | DoggieGrace | 43586
Ecclesiastes 30:7-9 Two things I asked of Thee before I die... Keep deception and lies far from me..... GIVE ME NEITHER POVERTY.... OR RICHES...... Feed me with the food that is MY PORTION, Lest I be FULL AND DENY THEE, and say , "Who is the Lord"? Or lest I be in WANT and steal and profane the name of my God. My comment is: BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOUR PORTION IS. Paul in the New Testament said that he had LEARNED HOW to be CONTENT whether he was very poor or living well. It's not the condition that makes us sweet or bitter....it is the way we REACT and the ATTITUDE we have. GOD GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Do you have financial blessings? Share them! Do you have financial needs? Be content and humble yourself looking to the Lord for what He will supply. SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. Ahhh...Sweet Contentment Have Jesus? Then you truly are a very RICH soul! |

24 | Cease Striving-Rest in His Love- | Is 30:15 | DoggieGrace | 41349
Repentance is to have a change of mind. Rest is to cease from striving. Quietness is a gentle assurance in the soul that all is well. Trust is that - trust - He will not fail you ....."but you were not willing".......how sad..... ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REST FROM YOUR OWN WORKS AND COMPLETELY TRUST HIM. HAVE A CHANGE OF MIND ABOUT WHO IS RUNNING YOUR LIFE. Don't try so hard to find answers. Rest in His love. He is the answer. MEDITATE ON THIS VERSE OFTEN. IT IS POWERFUL. Your part? Turn over your will to His. |

Hi, Salt of the Earth, this is Doggie Grace. Thank you for your reply to my comment on Isaiah 30:15. That verse has always meant so much to me in my life. I have a teenage son going away to college this year (not quite as far, but still too far to come home very often) and I've been crying about it this VERY morning...hard to let go! I am assuming your son is graduating FROM COLLEGE! Yes, I know also the Lord will take care of the finances to help you be there. I am so thankful God used me to give you encouragement. That's where real joy is found. Thank you for yours as well. If you ever want to send me a personal email, my address is: DoggieGrace@msn.com I hope we meet up again with future verses and encouragements. I also have 3 Christian communities that I try to manage, but usually don't have time to maintain them well. They won't show up highlighted on here for you to link to, but if you e-mail me I will be happy to send them to you that way. God bless you and continue to be His salt in this world! Love, Brenda |

26 | Acts 2:14a 36-47 | Luke 13:3 | DoggieGrace | 43577
Repentance is having a change of mind about the direction you are going. To repent from sin is to have a change of mind about to sin. But changing your mind must be followed by changing your walk. You cannot walk the Christian life on your own. You must have the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling you. This comes from realizing you are a sinner separated from God and that Jesus Christ, His Son, came to save you from your sins. You repent (change your mind) and ask Him to take control of your life. You confess your sin to Him and ask Him to take your sins away. When you are water baptized, you are giving the outward sign of what has already happened to the inward person. You have become a brand new creation in Christ Jesus. Now, you want to show that in word picture form. Romans 6 talks about how we are baptized into His death, burial, and raised up to NEWNESS OF LIFE. It is your testimony to others that you are NOT ashamed. It is completely identifying yourself with Him. In the Greek, the word is described as a white cloth being dipped in red dye and then taking on the color of the red dye. The Bible says we will be clothed in Jesus. He becomes our complete identity. Do you need Scripture references for all of this? Will you email me at DoggieGrace@msn.com ..... I would love to talk to you more about it. God bless you! |

29 | WILL FAMILY ACCEPT MORMON SPOUSE | Acts 1:1 | DoggieGrace | 43583
Your question is very complex. Willingly choosing to disobey God does have its consequences. However, God is always willing to forgive when we are willing to repent (turn around and live for Him and not ourselves) Also if we are truly born again believers, we know that when we sin and confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. (I John 1:9). You need counseling but you need it from a Biblical standpoint. I don't know what church affiliation you have. Since your husband is willing to go there with you, he must not be too sold out on his Mormon beliefs. Feel free to email me personally. Being a woman myself, I am at least willing to listen to you, pray for you, and ask the Lord for Scriptures that might encourage you. I pray the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth.
