21 | jcsav, Meaning of Jesus silenced them? | John 3:5 | jcsav | 147157
That was the point that I was trying to make with Searcher, and that was, that the Jews understood baptism. I have not find the Scriptures yet, that they may have used. I do know they see things in the Hebrew language that we often miss.

23 | jcsav, Meaning of Jesus silenced them? | John 3:5 | jcsav | 147154
That was the point that I was trying to make with Searcher, and that was, that the Jews understood baptism. I have not figured it out yet, how did they used the Old testament, to figure that out.
24 | Do all idealists agree who's da beast? | Rev 2:1 | jcsav | 147152
Searcher, I have not studied the Spiritual view. I would like to do so. As far as the Idealist view goes that is what the Holy Ghost tend to take us. The thing I speak of in Revelation. I am very compentent of. But, there are areas that I will not go into. Fearing that I may add to or take away what is said. I will read what others have to say in these areas, but I will not repeat it to others, as from the Lord.
25 | jcsav, Why isn't order "Spirit...water" | John 3:5 | jcsav | 147147
I have fullfilled Acts 2:38 so I must know how it goes. I don't know where you got your information from. But it is wrong. But I would rejoice if the Lord baptised You with His Spirit, before you get Baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin. But if Peter (or I) was you Preacher, when he heard you speak in tongues. It's to the Water, you would be going. And if I am not mistaken. He would not ask you, either.
26 | jcsav, Meaning of Jesus silenced them? | John 3:5 | jcsav | 147146
No, you misunderstood. I meant that he silence them with His Doctrine. To me, there is no reason to think the Jews had any questions when it came to Baptism. Other than the ones they ask John. And that did not have to do with its application. They went themselves to be baptised d(Mat 3:7) They just misunderstood who would have the Right to baptise Jews. Look back over the Old Testament. It amazes me that they knew that Elisha, or the Prophet. Would indeed baptise. John is said to have had the spirit of Elisha. Though he was not him. And Jesus was that "Prophet and the Christ". And He do Baptise with the Holy Ghost. Not bad!
27 | Do all idealists agree who's da beast? | Rev 2:1 | jcsav | 147134
You are speaking of the Goverment that he will control. Not the man himself. Daniel gave the complete view of the empires.
28 | jcsav, Why isn't order "Spirit...water" | John 3:5 | jcsav | 147133
First that was in the order that Jesus said it. It was the order in which Peter said it in Acts 2:38. Acts 8 the eunch was baptised with water before he received the Holy Ghost. Otherwise Phillp statement in verse 37, would have been necessary. Acts 8:16 "For he had not yet fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized into the name of Jesus Christ. That is also the order that it is Preached in our Churches. Rarely do God fill them first. But that is entirely in His control.
29 | What must I do to be saved? | Rom 10:9 | jcsav | 147075
I am afraid, God doesn't want us to use math to figure out his Word. This is not a ball game. Just show me in Scripture where he stopped, Baptising with His Spirit.
30 | What must I do to be saved? | Rom 10:9 | jcsav | 147054
So is it you belief that Jesus no longer baptises with the Holy Ghost? How many cases do it take in the Scriptures to establish it. Jesus used the lack of a single (letter) to establish Truth. Do you thank, you may do so ,with whole verses in at least two different chapters.
31 | jcsav, are there candlesticks today? | Rev 2:1 | jcsav | 147051
Searcher, you view is known as the futurist view interpertation. I am of the Idealist interpretation which views timeless truths. If you have a Amplified Bible read the introduction the Revelation. If you go into any of the Apostolic Pentecostal Churchs. If you have the Holy Ghost and can discern Spirits. You will find that they will fix with one or more of the Seven Churches that is listed in Revelation. The Church of Ephesus may be long gone. But the things that the Lord had against these Churches still exist. I know it is hard for you to understand, if you still think all believers are saved, It is impossible for you see. |

32 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146957
So, when the Lord says you must be born of the Water and Spirit. He is not speaking of water Baptism? Is Mar 16:16 speaking of water baptism or is this Spirit baptism only? As for as Eph 2:8,9 goes. Faith do have works. I surpose you see Water baptism as a works (it is not works of the Law) Baptism is for remission of sin (Act 2:38). It is possible only by the death of Christ. It did not come from man, but God. You have just proved my point. If it is not salvific. Then that mean you can be born again without it. And it also mean that you can be saved, without following our Lords commandment to do so. Is that what you are saying, Hank?
33 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146946
I can think of many different ways to be Baptised d (according to the many different groups) and all do not lead to Salvation. How many (ways) do you think the apostles used? Don't you think Jesus told them how to do it.I was not aware that God baptises with water. Are do you believe that it is even necessary? God saves but he do so by using people.
34 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146936
I used the same phase as EdB. I assumed that he meant as the "answers" as it would pretain to Salvation. Not answers to every question that may be asked.
35 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146934
That was true even in the Churches that we know to be True. Jesus had something against all, but one of the Seven Churches in Asia (Rev.1:20-22). Do you think they all had many different beliefs? And if he said, that he would remove one of these (if they did not repent) (Rev 2:5) Then there is no reason why we should think, that every group and denomination that say they know him, have a candlestick before him.
36 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146932
I agree. But in order to be saved, You must be born of the Water and Spirit. And it must be done correctly. And if you know Christ. Then you should know, what that is.
37 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146931
You are right Hank. Sure there is always Truth to line up with more Truth. But any Church that claim to know the Gospel of Christ, Should have enought answers to know how One is to be born again. They should at least know what is the One Faith, One Lord, And One Baptism. They should know what Jesus meant when he said, "You must be born of the Water and the Spirit. How can you have Salvation without the New Birth. And If any Church or Denomination do not have these answers. What good is the answer to other questions. Why even ask?
38 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146820
If one group or denomination do not have all the answers. Then that mean that the Church that Christ gave his blood for, no longer exist upon the face of the Earth. But, instead, the doctrine have been scattered among all the denominations. And each one may have only a fragment, of the Truth. Jesus did say, upon this Rock, I build my Church and all the gates of hell shall not previle against it. Didn't he? Can anyone be saved with only a fragment?
39 | Do you have to know Christ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146734
Only one person have entered into heaven, following the Law and that was Jesus Christ. There is only one way and that Way is through Jesus Christ.
40 | Confused | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146728
Neither do I, I have had enought of that. I am just a little surprise by your Spirit. Most attack us, right away on our beliefs. Thank you, for the information. |
