27 | What reduced the crowds to just a few? | John 6:66 | dasev | 58384
dear Makarios, interesting that the ones who stopped following Him couldn't conceive of eating human flesh, and now those who follow the romish popes, themselves all human, command the literal flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus saves us by the Grace of His once and never to be repeated sacrafice, through our Faith in Him, and God's raising Him from the dead, romans 10: 9 and 10. dasev
28 | How can the s | John 17:11 | dasev | 34849
nowhere is it written that jesus either "achieved" oneness or perfection with GOD. He stated he oneness with His Father as he spoke directly to HIM in gethsemane. it is (and was) a "default" status they and the Holy Spirit enjoy. taking the verse Jesus quoted : psalm 110:1 and duet 6:4 should make things clear(er). hope this helps dasev |

30 | Who may receive the baptism of the H.S.? | Acts 2:38 | dasev | 46593

31 | what does baptism reveal to the world? | Acts 2:38 | dasev | 46595
dear one, ones baptism by water declares the persons pledge of a clean conscience toward God. it should be done with full trust in God, through Christ's shed blood, that ones sins are forgiven, that there in no other means of approaching God for salvation except through Christ, and that one is symbolically acknowledging their recption of the Gift of God. it is further correctly understood to be only an outward acknowledgment of the inward act of faith to trust Christ and God only for salvation. one must understeand the important essential need for remorse for sin, and repentance from sin. this is the witness that should be known in the church. what the world may understand only the Lord knows. the bottom line is that the world of a persons friends, co-workers, and family hopefully may learn that the person has made a decision: about who Jesus is and to follow His teaching. davev

35 | isn'tr it different for the saved? | 1 Cor 10:5 | dasev | 48657
dear one, it has to be possible to overcome sin, or else the charge to repent would be meanongless. further, if one is "always abounding in the work of the Lord", there is no time for sin. after a certain point in ones understanding the Lords abhorrance of sin should lead one to prize obediance to His Word and word more than the pleasures of sin. dasev

39 | Explain "the word of His power"Heb1:3 | Heb 1:3 | dasev | 35551
GODS POWER IS NOT LIMITED TO OUR SPEAKING OR NOT SPEAKING. THE FERVERENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS AVAILETH MUCH. BUT WE DID NOT CREATE NOR DO WE UPHOLD THE UNIVERSE, EVEN BY SPEAKING GODS WORD. THERE IS THE GIFT OF PROPHECY WHEREBY GOD SPEAKS HIS WORD THROUGH THE PROPHET, AND THERE ARE THOSE WHO HAVE THE GIFT OF MIRACLES BY WHOM GOD ACTS HIS WILL, BUT THESE AND OTHER THINGS ARE OF DIVINE ORIGIN AND WE SIMPLY HAVE THE PRIVELEDGE AND PLEASURE TO HAVE THEM PASS THROUGH US TO THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD.
40 | sin is a sin? | 1 John 3:1 | dasev | 39812
dear dan, sin is not good , even pilfering an "extra" 5 minutes on the break. see james 2:10. an important consideration when considering ones spiritual condition is "am i repenting of the sins that i still find myself doing?" when we stop fighting the battle an cave into sin we are in danger. but if we are through faith in Christ counseling and confessing sin and praying for strength and for deliverance then we can be confident that Jesus forgives us, and that we are in the Way, Truth, and our life is hid in His Life. Simply put the Wisdom of GOD would have us practise repenence not pratise sin. this is very clearly the response of the heart of the man of faith, it absolutely necessary to salvation and the daily assurance of salvation. it is as the team colors on God's side are "faith" and "repentance". nothing could be clearer than this. your servant dasev
