31 | leave when violent..? | Mal 2:16 | seedling | 143893
I also agree with Pastor Glenn about the 3 things that free a person from marriage; adultery, death of spouse, unfaithful husband leaving. How does 1 Cor 7:10 -11 allows a person to leave when the other is violent? Doesn't verse 10 say not to leave? I feel saddened by all those who are in a violent relationship! The husband should treat the wives like they would be treated Eph. 5:25,28-29. Wives are suppose to be submissive. Eph 5:22 This is why one needs to be carefull when selecting who to marry. I believe one can remarry if tthe divorce is result of unfaithfullness. |

32 | Forgiveness and salvation | Matt 5:20 | seedling | 175914
Matthew 6:9-15...And the last couple of verses struck me...I'd never really noticed the gravity of what they really said... "(9)"This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, (10)your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (11)Give us today our daily bread. (12)Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. (13)And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' (14)For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (15)But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." If it's really saying that unforgiveness voids out salvation and if so then why isn't more emphasis put on forgiveness??? Shouldn't people know that forgiveness is virtually as important as faith itself??? P.S. I'd really love some biblical proof of anything you think on the subject...Seedling |

40 | Is Jesus always the Light? | Acts | seedling | 151614
John9:4-5 I'm using the nkjv. In verse 5,Jesus says as long as he is in the world he is the light of the world. The words in the world, does that mean heaven and earth? I thought HE was always the Light. Maybe amother translation will make this more clear. Also in verse 4, does night refer to the time when satan is looose as it states in Revalations? |
