203 | Unemployment cheques for the saints. | 2 Thess 3:8 | lionheart | 217937
YenslaRap, Welcome to the forum. It's good to have ya. I've been attending a nondenominational church here in Portland Oregon for over 15 years. This is where I became disciple of Jesus. What a fifteen years it's been, wouldn't trade em for any thing. You've stated the matter quite well. I've been telling people for these fifteen years that I belong to an Acts two fellowship and I've been living it for every one of those years. Acts two is an outstanding example of where God's Church should be today. Today folks will go everywhere except the church and I'm not talking about non Christians I'm referring to those who profess to be disciples. We don't know how blessed of God we are. We have the unique opportunity to live that today. And we have a good working model in acts two. PS- When you have time go to your user profile and tell us a bit about yourself. In Him, lionheart |

204 | Why does Jesus have mercy on Demons? | Mark 5:13 | lionheart | 217913
savedsince1980, Take a look at Makarios reply to this topic. Colossians 2:15 case in point. It fits. When we say in my opinion we open the door for all kinds of error. Scriptures like 2 Timothy 2:15,3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:20,21 and 1 Timothy 4:16 are vital and central to the handling of God's Word. We are fallible humanbeings subject to wrong judgements where as the Word there will be no error on God's part. It always works. In Him, lionheart |

justme, Allot of folks get this twisted and I agree with what your saying. So often people will lump will not and can't work together. No can do. When we do we do God and His church a grave injustice. Acts chapter two (vs 42-47) gives us a great example of what the church should be doing and who this applies to. James also gives a prime example when he states what true religion is. I've been telling folks for years that I belong to an Acts two fellowship. I've been living it for a number of years and the all I can say is thank God. It't not only saved my life but also my walk with. With all this said lets stay tight people thats why God has made us family. He knew wouldnt make it on our own. In Him, lionheart |

213 | The Suffering of the Church | Acts 8:2 | lionheart | 217633
Mike, You are correct, it is a simple concept. But how does it relate to it being evil. There's more to this than what we see on the surface. We need and should go beyond what we see on the surface. 2 Timothy 2:15. Mike go deeper, go deeper. In Him, lionheart |

215 | Un-repented Sin | Heb 6:6 | lionheart | 217550
Vintage68, When I asked you what you ment I was asking along the lines of 1 John 3:8,9. We fool ourselfs when we think we won't sin because we are disciples, but we can and must repent. (1 John 1:9) When we choose to continue in sin then we place ourselfs in a very untenable position. So I don't know about judgement if one dies before he can repent. In Him, lionheart |

Makarios, What is problematic here and this isn't the only thing is folks don't see or they refuse to see. People get on the penchant Christ plus. When will folks get Eph 2:8,9. Thats it. Nothing more nothing less. In Him, lionheart |

219 | Fulfill or Abolish? | Heb 1:1 | lionheart | 217479
God's Day to all, This more in relation to the entire book of Hebrews. I was having a real hard time as a new disciple and had sat down with our lead evangelist. As there isn't sufficient space to cover all that was discussed I will just share what came out of this time. Two things. I needed to deal with my sin and I needed to know Jesus. He challenged me to read through Hebrews and then go back through it again. I could not have received more solid advice and council than I received at this time. It saved me and my walk with God at a very crucial juncture in my life. Now for the reason for this note. The subject of fulfillment or abolishment has been somewhat of a hot ticket. It's not so complicated as we so often make it. Take some time and really work through Hebrews chapters 7-10. It will clear up allot of understanding and wrong doctrine and it will put much of this into proper perspective. Take a good look. Ilook forward to hearing from you. In Him, lionheart |

220 | Does prayer change God's mind? | Jon 3:10 | lionheart | 217452
Brad, Good day to you brother. Well said. I just got through reading this book titled The Prayer of the Rightious By Mark Templer. One of the best devotional studies on prayer I've ever read. One thing I learned though, God may not change His mind but when His people pray the heart of God is moved and when His heart is moved incredible things happen. In Him, lionheart |
