You are blessed! After 12 yrs, we here are like oil and water but this is no.3. What's funny is that 1 I divorced but I hardly remember he was alive, 2 died but he's the one I remember more...wonder how that one wife thing applies w/death and not divorce? But I understand exactly what you are trying to say about God didn't say it was sin, just His requirement.

Her reply part 2: If you are a Christian and had not known that the seventh day of the week is actually the seventh-day of the week and not the first day, God will not hold you accountable for that lack of knowledge if you had no opportunity to know it. Today, God has given the Sabbath truth to Christians, but most of them say, no it is Jewish, it ended at the cross, Christ kept it and then destroyed it at His cross, so it is not part of the New Covenant for Christians. Is that really so? Matthew 5:17-19 indicates the opposite. He did away with the Levitical ceremonies at the cross, but not His Law summed up in the Ten Principles of the Ten Commandments. If that is so, then there is no sin, for there is no law. And you can do as you please and still gain heaven. We have the law of love now. All you need to do is love one another. The Gentiles do that, brothers and sisters! There are those Christians who say that the Holy Spirit was not available until Pentecost. But Christ was led of the Spirit and so were the prophets of old. Moses had wished that all of could be prophets.... I wonder if he was frustrated or what. David prayed that the Holy Spirit would not be taken from him, but would be restored to him, when he realized his great sin against God. But now, the saying is, that The Old Testament itself is done away with, that all we need is the New Testament, or else, no, all you need is the Holy Spirit, and it supercedes the Bible today. That is like saying, if you believe the Bible and follow it, you are not receiving the Spirit of God. Now how can that be? You all are confusing me very much as to what you all believe. I am not claiming to know more than the rest of you, you all seem to be pretty intelligent as far as that goes. :) But I am praying for you all and hope that you intelligently see what I see. And I am sorry that I have gotten carried away this time. God knows the reason why I have done this. Blessings to you, Shelley |

184 | Please explain Revelation 14:12 ? | Rev 14:1 | Norrie | 84256
Her reply: I am sorry, it does seem like I did spiritualize away the 144,000 to mean all professed Christians at the end of time. I really didn't mean to do that. This is what I do mean: The 144,000 are a literal number, that I agree with totally. I know that Gideon had his 300 men whom God separated out, and then God told Elijah that He had 7,000 who had not bowed the knee to Baal among the children of Israel. So I fully believe that God has a literal 144,000 who believe the whole truth of the Bible, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, as Revelation 14:12 points out. They will be separated out because they keep the whole Law, including keeping holy the seventh day of the week, apart from the rest of the world who keep Sunday in the final battle between God and Satan, and represent the church of God as a whole from the beginning of time, because they are the first-fruits of the earth unto God and unto the Lamb. I believe that they will be those alive at the second coming of Jesus Christ, as Paul said would be caught up together with the resurrected righteous to meet Christ in the air. They are represented as 12,000 from each tribe of Israel. That shows that they are the church, if you consider that "twelve" is representative of the church in the Bible--there were 12 sons of Israel (Jacob), and there were 12 disciples, even after Judas hung himself, Matthias was chosen to replace him. When the church was tented around the sanctuary in the wilderness for 40 years, it was separated into twelve groups, and there were leaders from every group. Each group had its own standard or flag to separate them from the others. So they formed a perfect square around the sanctuary that Moses built. This pointed forward to the church at the end of time, which "gathers" around the sanctuary truth of Jesus as our Mediator in heaven. So the 144,000 will also believe the sanctuary message of the Bible, that the Old Testament services were kindergarten illustrations to us of what work Christ has done and is doing to save us from our sins. Christ wants to put away sin totally, and the sanctuary shows what Christ is doing in heaven to put an end to all sin, that it will finally be destroyed, root and branch, so to speak. Hopefully none of us will be destroyed with it. To be part of this final last day group requires the faith of Jesus, which faith is trusting the Father even unto death. Just like Noah, these righteous ones will be ridiculed and made fun of. Just like Jesus, a death decree will be against them to destroy them (Revelation 13:15), but they will not be destroyed. They must face all kinds of abuse, and be tried to the utmost, can you imagine? but Jesus will come the second time, and then will be fulfilled Revelation 1:7, and deliver all the faithful to His Father's house that has many mansions.. The Ten Commandments was given to Christ's church from the beginning of time. It is the everlasting covenant, and Israel as a nation failed to keep that covenant, but Christ came and kept it, showing that we could keep it. It is New because we have Christ, His word, and the Holy Spirit and everything possibly given to the church to bring the church into the kingdom. But God has an adversary to keep the church from the whole light of truth, and he comes in as a roaring lion to tell us that the Ten Commandments have been nailed to the cross. God is going to prove to everyone, His law is from everlasting, just as He is from everlasting. As long as there is God, there is the Law of love written on two tables in the heavenly sanctuary. Satan knows this because he used to reside in heaven next to God's throne as the covering cherub. The angels know it and they are trying to work and minister to the saints. The Holy Spirit is God who dwells in us, the Spirit sent from Jesus who is omnipotent. That power is given to us to prepare ourselves and others for His kingdom before it is forever too late. Matthew 28:18-20. Part 1 |

186 | Please explain Revelation 14:12 ? | Rev 14:1 | Norrie | 83986
I'm kinda doing this as an intermediary. A friend is asking this so I thought I'd get some good replies. :) Here's her answer: There seems to be a contradiction, but I think it is not a real contradiction, I will see what you or others think.... Revelation 14:1-5 does show the saints of God who were faithful to the Lamb of God just before Jesus comes, following Him whithersoever He goes. The seal of God is in their foreheads (compare to Revelation 7:1-10), which seal has the name of God, His office and territory. That is what a seal is. This seal shows that they are God's. This seal means that they worship God, and do not receive the mark of the Beast, or worship the Beast, etc. (See: Revelation 13:16-18) The message that they proclaimed was a pure message (they are virgins) described in Revelation 14:6-11. Then verse 12 says, "Here is the patience of the saints, here are they who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." These saints lived before the second coming of Jesus Christ which is depicted in verses 14-20. They gave the final warning about worshipping the beast. They are redeemed from the earth, they along with some who must be raised from the dead (verse 13), and taken to heaven with Jesus at His second coming, where we find them in verses 1-5. So what is the contradiction? This is my question: How can the saints of God both keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus? Does that mean that they are saved because they have corresponding good works that match their faith? And these good works are keeping the commandments of God? Are they spiritual Jews which keep the Law of God (which is spiritual) (see the reference to the 144,000 being from every tribe of Israel--Revelation 7:1-10)? i.e., the 144,000 represent the Christian church at the end of time, since they believe in Christ, which is made up of both Jews and Gentiles. It seems that faith and works must go together. Their actions testify to their faith, they keep all the commandments of God, including how to worship Him. Another verse is that found in the KJV, Revelation 22:14. "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." Outside are the disobedient ones, those who break the commandments. (verse 15) Since the first four commandments of the Ten Commandments tell us how to worship God, then I would think that Christians at the end of time will keep holy the seventh-day Sabbath, while the rest of the world will be worshipping the beast on his popular day of worship, on which he deceives the whole world. What do you or others on this group think? It is interesting that the fourth commandment contains the name of God, His office, and his territory: The Lord God, who made heaven and earth and things under the earth (water)., etc. It is similar to the Presidential Seal of the USA. They belong totally to God. |

188 | Is sickness from satan? | Job 2:7 | Norrie | 83563
No, I believe God called me away from that teaching because it is not totally true. Since I was so into it, He had to really get my attention. I did NOT get healed at Creflo's long before I heard Copeland had some wrong teaching so I believe it was God showing me I was wrong putting my trust in their teachings. They are just enough right that you may miss the wrong, if they were blatant, everybody would see thru it. It took a lot of convincing too before I believed it because I was deeply entenched and I have had many miracles in my life involved w/it too. God never failed me, ever. I may not get my way but He doesn't fail me. :) My life is great, God takes wonderful care of me w/o WoF teachings. Only thing I'd change is the 30#s I gained but...:) |

Evidentally that worked...wonder what I did to make mine not work? I can't think of what I would have used a symbol for...maybe I accidentally typoed one??? But they still need to be able to use symbols. Sometimes you want to link a website and they use symbols in the site so you can't post it. They are a necessary part of life today!!! |

OK, trying again... I used to be really into the WoF message. I listened to Copeland since I was saved and went to Believer's Conventions, experienced miracles, was a partner, had his tapes, books, magazines, etc. Was listening to his cohorts as time went on too, I was really into it. I lived in divine health. If a symptom was coming on, I'd take authority over it in the Name of Jesus and be praising the Lord and was never sick more than a few hrs at the most. I was even looking to move to Ft. Wprth area so I could be a part of Copeland Ministries, I was that into it. Then NYEve '98 I broke my arm roller blading. A few weeks before I had a job out of town so I taped all my ministry shows and I actually had a VCR in my hospittal room. I was in there for 12 days and had 5 surgeries. Inbetween I was listening to Gloria's Healing School, Creflo, Joyce, it was wonderful! I kept the tape going all the time, saturated in the Word. I found out Copeland and Oral Roberts were going to be at Creflo's church and I was going! I KNEW I'd be healed there and saw myself giving testimony at my church talking about the Jesus Christ Insurance Agency-by His stripes we are healed!!! You don't have to be sick, Jesus heals today!!! I even wrote my letters of testimony before hand to all the big ministries, even Benny Hinn's, had them standing in agreement with me, I couldn't wait! But guess what-instead of getting healed, I ended up going to doc w/o even going home and having to have my arm restitched...I ended up have 7 more operations and lost the use of my right hand. So right after Creflo's church is when I started getting online. I found some forums and found exactly how bad people do actually hate Christians. I started taking stands for Jesus and Christianity and I'd quote Copeland a lot still, even tho I didn't get my healing as I knew I would. Then some of the Christians started telling me that Copeland had some wrong teaching. How was this possible? I'd heard him for 18 years, had practically everything he did, I didn't see where he had anything wrong. I used a partner letter at SS school for a testimony and later another lady gave me some material saying he was wrong. I started looking at links and sure enough, he was wrong, not everything he taught was wrong but he did have some wrong teachings. So I just quit listening to him and all his cohorts period. I used to be a piping designer and I'd take contracts across the country and make big bucks. While I was gone, my mother would raise my daughter. Now I'm a stay at home mom, collect disability, hang out online spreading the Word where I can and being a political activist for anti-Christian bigotry and other things that go against God's Word. I believe God uses things, even sickness and accidents to bring us closer to Him. He tests us. We can be bitter or we can keep praising Him. How people see us going thru a trial has a big effect on there lives too. Then God uses things that are bad to the good of those that love Him, as He did with me. So we may have all the faith we needs to get healed, sometimes God has other plans and they all are for His Glory whether we want to believe that or not. I know I'm perfectly happy where God has placed me and so big deal, I can't use my right hand, I'm not bitter and that makes many people see that God is in control regardless. |

I can't believe it, Satan just stole my answer!!! I had this huge testimony wrote out and it disappeared because of symbols, I can't even remember where I would have used a symbol but it's gone-thanks a lot!!! I think we should be able to use symbols so this kind of thing doesn't happen again! |

Thanks, but no thanks. You've never heard of him before tho? I haven't until this person kept quoting his junk but she just can't see past him. This is some egroup, SDAs, a Branham follwer and this guy follower, seems none want to be set straight. Why is that??? There are a few would I say regular Christians who try beating their head against the wall trying to explain things but it just seems to be beating your head against the wall. What gets me is they have scriptures, twisted maybe but scriptures...

She has a hard time reconciling that God will let people stay in Hell forever. She believes that there they will burn until they are refined, then thy will be saved. Unfortunately, the Bible does not teach this. It sounds more like purgatory to me too.

What does anybody know about J. Preston Eby? Doesn't he teach that everyone will go to heaven after judgment and some 'purification' in hell? It'd be interesting what you have to say about his teachings. Here's a link. http://www.godfire.net/eby/ |
