Searcher: I read your response. We must agree to disagree. Are there any circumstances where you see a member should removed from the church until the person repents and seeks forgiveness? justme |

Setonahill: I think if you read my answer to dka you might want to reconsider your position. I believe it is because of inadiquate knowledge that people misconstrued what Church discipline is all about, and how it is to take place. Blessings. justme |

184 | When, what and who are included? | Rev 7:14 | justme | 224271
BMyers: Perhaps we mignt reconsider a few points, easly overlooked. All understandings of Scripture, and the views about the return of Christ are really how one understandes endtime Scriptures. No one knows when Jesus will return, only the Father. I suggest that there is a danger in totally accepting any of these theories. If as some say we will not go into the tribulation, and it just so happens we do? I believe this would wreck the faith of those who were so adomint this would never happen. Just what if we had to endure great tribulation? Would not those who thought we have to go into the tribulation be better prepared. For years I have studied the many view points of the return of Christ. Frankly all of the views hold some valid points, and I clearly see how they interpret Scripture for the view point they hold. I have come to rely on Matthew 24. I use the Words of Jesus Himself as my starting place in understanding the end times. I take the waite and see view. I personally am prepared for Christ to return right now. Yet I am also ready to suffer for the sake of Christ. If I must endure the tribulation, no matter if we are taken out in the middle or at the end. That seems to me the better understanding of Matthew 24. Are there Christians right now enduring tribulation? Yes, Christings are in serious tribulation in Iraq, just to name one place. Christians are not allowed to work, buy food,, live in certian neighborhoods, and even pray, or mention Jesus. China is rough place for Christians now as well. Over and over Jesus said that with different calamaties, earthquakes, war, no food, many times the time was not "yet". All the different views of Christ and his return are in my opinion not an open and closed deal. Being ready just might mean to be prepared to suffer, or die for your faith. I ask are most Christians ready to suffer sever pain and suffering without denying their faith in Christ? Would most of us be willing to be burned at the stake? Could we endure watching our children tortured until we say we reject Christ? Could we watch our wife and daughters raped until we rejected Christ? This might well represent what being ready means. Now are we really ready? I believe we need to think and pray for strength to endure being ready. I hope my understanding is taken very seriously. The things I mentioned above are happening today in this world. Ae we really ready, frankly I doubt most Christians have given this serious thought and are not prepared. I hope pre-tribulation is the correct view. I am afraid we as lazy un-read Biblical Christians we are not ready at all. Blessings Brad. justme |

Beja: I pastored two churches that were quite small, less than 16 people. There was growth but it took the Holy Spirit to direct every step of the way. Without the dedication of my wife and family (our four children) to endure the hardships of living in a very small community, 70 miles from anywhere. We managed on sixty five dollars a week and traveling eighty five miles each way every day to attend seminary. To say I totally respect pastors is a under statement. My Bi-vocational experience was so challenging. Growth in small rural churches takes time and cannot be measured the same as inner city churches. I found the denomination was constantly using training in the way that bigger churches grew. I am pleased to say this was long ago and methods and training are different now. The smallest church of the two used a tape recording of music to sing hymns by. We adapted to the people and what resources we had or could find. The challenges of a any postor I think is to not mix preparing sermons with private Bible study and prayer. Beja, I will remenber you in prayer when I pray for those I know in ministry. Pew Potato: I just want to assure you I am not a "Flame throwing Liberal". It is out of respect and kindness that I continue this subject. Am I right to say you believe women should wore a head covering in church now? We live near and are close friends with the Mennoite brethern. These dear Christians have made their point of living isolated from the "world" by using horse and buggies and adopting what some say are primitive ways. We are able to look beyond some stark differences, and enjoy some very interesting serious biblical dialogues. I have said this so you better understand my interest with you. Blessings. justme |

Searcher: May I respectfully disagree with you. If we can dialouge more than 12 notes worth about if sex while a woman is on her time of the month, than surely Mitch1029 can ask just about any question about the different churches. Perhaps someone on the forum belongs to such a church. I say this in kindness, you answer was a bit to curt, at least I thought so. Blessings. justme |

Pew Potato: Often I have read the position you have stated, and it extends to other points beyond just what you have presented. Usually, when I have asked the question where does the culture at the time, relate to, in Pauls writtings. For instance we do not demand that women cover their heads today. Was head covering for women at the time of Pauls instructions, relating to culture or is it wrong for women not to cover their head today? Blessings. justme |

BradK; Your final response was kind. I believe I have read it all now. Perhaps reminding her that God says in Scripture, we are allowed the killing of animals for food, and is within His will. There are even some placed in Asia that eat all kinds of creatures, some just down right nasty. justme |

190 | Should I leave, or stay? | 1 Pet 2:1 | justme | 224147
Beja 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 Paul is addressing in verse 11 the part if a spouse leaves. There are reasons a wife would leave. Paul clearly stresses for separated partners to be reconciled. With that in mind examine a reason a christian wife would want to separate from her husband. This would be under the assumption her husband was a christian. There is no Scripture that says a husband or wife must stay living under the same roof with an abusive, drunken, unsafe, spouse. Can you support Scripture saying a spouse is allowed to be abusive to the other partner? I say this with respect and kindness Beja. In my ministry I have seen far too many wives submit to husbands who demanded "Biblical Submition". These men were not examples of a christian husband in any way. Those abusive husbands demanding submition, were involved in drunkeness, drug addictions, and physical abuse to the point of endangering the entire family. Wives and children have endured sexual violence and trauma that have life long physical, emotional and spiritual damage. I know of no place in the Bible that condemns a wife or children to such hell on earth. If anyone thinks a minister can be aware of abuse and not report it to the proper authorities, then they are in violation of the laws of our land. Slavery was outlawed in the nineteenth century. I am dogmatic on these points. Blessings. justme |

192 | is it a sin to have sex on your period | 1 Cor 7:3 | justme | 224049
BradK: I appreciate you kind response, and as you and I have seen over the years on this forum there are some who just ask questions just to see how far it goes. There have been 12 notes in resonse to this question. In contrast, at times a good Bible question has only one or two answers. However, most questions related to sex have too many notes, especially in a subject like this one. I asked my wife what she thought of this question. Her thought was there needed to be a Forum for women somewhat like this one. Her feeelings were that this could have been a young girl who could be just seeing how the forum would react. Better yet suggest this girl or woman talk to a Christian leader in her church. Mrs. Justme and me think this question was in very poor taste and even though it was responded to from the Bible, this question was made much to big for 12 responses. We on this question, brother Brad K can disagree in Christian Love and respect. Blessings. justme |

BradK: I see no lady in the Forum got involved with this question, only men. Why do men think we have the answers on this? May I suggest there are subjects such as this, that is better answered by at least one of the married women on the Forum. Perhaps I am rather out of touch with having such questions answered by men. 200 | should it be Easter, or Passover? | Heb 12:24 | justme | 221821
sonofmom: You have brought to the attention of some who have not given serious thought about what "easter" really is. Easter is satans way of distracting the attention of people from the true meaning of The Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eastar was a pagan fals god who was the goddess of fertility, thus the little bunnies and baby chickens. Satan will do all possible to distract from Christ His die worship. I literally hate the word easter. Anyone who doubts that easter clelbration is a pagan holiday needs to read the papers advertizment. In our local area one church ran a add saying there would be a early breakfast, before Sunday School and the easter Lords Supper would be after the easter message. This would be followed by an easter egg hunt. This made me sick! When we use the word "easter" to represent our Celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we totally distract the genuine meaning of the Resurrection! I believe calling Resurrectio Day Celebration "easter" is a sin, and shame on those who dishonor the Lord Jesus Christ By doing so! justme |
