So, you see a difference in being filled with the Spirit and receiving the Holy Spirit? And you believe you can be saved without recieving the Holy Spirit or before you receive the Holy Spirit. Do I have that correct? I am not trying to debate as I have be told. I am just trying to understand where you are coming from.
182 | Is speaking in tongues THE only sign? | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 140340
I was all but begged to post my beliefs and this is one reason I did not want to. Now, ever change you get (meaning you along with others) try to use it against me. Where did I say anything about my denomination (as you call it)other than when asked or in one case when I need to identify myself to a babe in Christ. Also, there are many denominations with the same beliefs.
183 | Is praying aloud together Biblical? | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 140336
Because I said I know the difference between being filled with the Holy Ghost and the Gift of Tongues. You call me arrogant. If I had made that statement to anyone in our Church that have received the Holy Ghost. Their reply would not have been how "arrogant" it more likely would have been "so can I". So we are of the same mind. |

Because I speak the Truth and know what I am talking about. How do you think I know these things, by my own power as if I gave myself the Holy Ghost? Now, you probably think that I am even more arrogant. And boast in myself, and not in God. So, let God judge.

First of all the audience matters very much. It matter in bible study who is speaking, what is the subject and who they are speaking to. There is a diffence between a regenerated heart and one that is not. Second, I can show you that what Peter says in Acts 2:38 Do include the Spirit baptism. Read Acts 11:16-17. |

You state that "When we come to saving Grace through our belief in Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Peter says "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Spirit). Will you please tell me where in Scripture I can find,"We are saved when we ask God in our hearts, repenting of our sins, and believing in Christ for the remission of our sins." One of the places that comes from is me. But I but it this way. You must be born again of Water and Spirit. If you want to receive the Holy Ghost you must obey Acts 2:38. |

That is what I said. Read what I wrote again. The gift of tongues is under the speakers control. The speaker when they are being filled with the Holy Ghost is under Gods. That why they speak as the spirit of God gives them utterance.
195 | Is being filled the same as receiving? | John 14:16 | jcsav | 140251

What the Paul is saying is that not everyone has the "Gift of Tongues". These individuals can speak at will and the Spirit is subject to them. The individual that receives the gift of the Holy Ghost, also speaks in other tongues at the filling. This do not mean they have the "Gift of Tongues" but that they have indeed received the "Holy Ghost (Spirit) You see this in the book of Acts. This is not subject to the individual. This is the Baptism of the Spirit or born of the Spirit, that Jesus spoke of. Paul is instructing those with the gift of tongues on how to behave in service and even gives the reason why. Who can instruct God on when to Baptise someone with the Holy Ghost? Hope this helps.

Haven't you read where it says there is One Lord. What are you saying, that there are two. The Jews knew a lot about the Scriptures, that is why they did not answer. They knew what Jesus was saying, and that is, that he is that, "ONE LORD".

You have so much to learn about tongues and the order of Church services in Pentecostal Churches. They follow 1 Cor 14 for the Purposes that Paul intended. Paul never said not to pray out loud together.
200 | Filled with the holy spirit? | John 14:16 | jcsav | 138238
The requirement for receiving the Holy Spirit can be found in Acts 2:38. No one can receive the Holy Spirit without realizing it, therefore, you need no incouragement to reinforce that fact. The presence of God is unmistakable. You can not receive the Holy Spirit without the presence of God, because the Holy Spirit, is God.
