141 | What is the basis of Psalms 109-110? | Luke 24:44 | humility | 222614
Although the Psalms were real life situations David encountered, they were also shadows and prophesies about the Messiah (Jesus) and His kingdom which was to come in the future. Jesus told the jews of his day that the scriptures they claimed to live by, testified of Him. (John 5:38-40)

143 | What happens after a person dies? | John 5:28 | humility | 212717
Jesus answered this question in Johns gospel chapter 5:28-29. Paul answered it later in His first epistle to church in Thessalonica. It's found in chapter 4:13-18. Both scripture references support the fact that Jesus knew, as well as the apostle, Paul, that death is just a sleep in the graves until the second-coming of Christ.
144 | ... | John 8:58 | humility | 214428
Jesus told the rich young ruler that there is none good but God. Is Jesus saying that He is not God? Or is this just another one of His parables? Someone help me out please!(Matt 19:17)
145 | Thought it not robbery? | John 10:30 | humility | 213029
Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal with God? I need someone to expound on this passage found in Phil 2:6.
146 | John the beloved. | John 13:23 | humility | 222819
Why does John the apostle refer to himself as the "apostle whom Jesus loved" in his writings, does that mean that Jesus loved John more than all the other apostles?
147 | No man can see God and live! | John 14:6 | humility | 215063
Wow! Lionheart, I love tat text you gave me that settles all doubt for me; I know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. But that still does'nt answer the question, I need a text stating why were'nt the people consumed when they saw Him.
148 | The Lord's prayer shows immaturity? | John 17:1 | humility | 215951
People condemn me because whenever they ask me to pray for them, I just repeat the Lord's prayer. Was'nt that the way He taught His disciples to pray? As a matter of fact, I love that prayer because it covers all the virtues of discipleship, (reverence for our Father, humility to His will, repentance, forgiveness, guidance, deliverance, and praise). What more could I ask my Father? When should my prayer be any different?
149 | Psalm 32:8-9 | Acts 16:6 | humility | 218460
This text tells me that, had the Holy Spirit not forbidden the Apostles to preach the word in Asia they would've done so. There's a time and a place for everything under the sun. God knew perfectly well why He did'nt want the Apostles to go to Asia. Did the people in Asia need to hear the gospel? Of course they did! The same way the lost souls around us today needs the hear this good news, but God does things in His own way and in His own time for His best interest as well as ours (His disciples). I played in many tournaments before this one but God is showing me a better way of reaching them. As a matter of fact, I even went to some of the games to support and cheer them on.
150 | Why did Paul do it? For conscience sake? | Acts 21:23 | humility | 217965
I don't understand this passage, If these vows were nailed to the cross (had met their symbolic fulfillment in Jesus Christ), why did the elders of the Church command Paul to go through with them? Verse 25 says He did it so the Jews may know that he also walked "orderly" keeping the law. Orderly in whose eyes? God's eyes or the Jews'?
151 | Why did Paul do it? For conscience sake? | Acts 21:23 | humility | 217968
Thanks Doc, I guess that's why Paul had Timothy circumcised also? (Acts 16:1-3) |

152 | The Gospel Paul preached | Romans | humility | 215119
Paul taught everything Jesus taught. (1 Cor 3:9-13)
153 | The Bible is a mirror! | Rom 3:23 | humility | 218661
As a matter of fact, if we really take a good look at ourselves, we'll soon recognize that were all patients. The only difference is the blood of Jesus and only because of His grace we're not consumed!(1 John 1:8-9; Lam 3:22-23) We all have weaknesses. Nobody's perfect! Any doctor who forgets this, is the most dangerous doctor in the hospital. I feel right at home when worshipping with patients. They teach me alot!
154 | Government? Ministers for Christ? | Rom 13:1 | humility | 215679
I am not all against government authorities, I live them with all my heart! but I would like someone enlighten me a little more on this passage. I need someone to explain to me, if this scripture verse is true, why is there so much police brutality and corruption in the government? Is this scrpture verse saying that these people suppose to be "Christians" or that it is God's will that they be there?

156 | Why not shorn or shaven for the woman? | 1 Cor 11:6 | humility | 215222
When we read the Bible, we have to take 4 things into consideration. (1) Who wrote the letter, (2) Who did He write the letter to. (3) Why did He write the letter or what was the problem. (4) Understand the cultures and traditions of the people during that time. Undrestanding all that is vital when it comes to studying the Bible, that way, it's impossible to be confused, especially if we pray, asking the for the Holy Spirit, (who inspired these writers), to be our helper. Now in Paul's day, a hair covering for a woman, would be what a wedding ring is to us today. It showed that that woman was married. It showed virtue on a woman's behalf. A woman's hair was also her beauty. (1 Cor 11:15) I personally believe a woman's hair is still her beauty today. Her taking off her "head-covering", would be like my wife taking off her wedding ring, it was a sign of disrespect to her husband and to God, according to their tradition. (1 Cor 11: 13). They took this stuff serious back then. Even so, If my wife was to stop wearing her wedding ring at church or in public, I would like to know what's wrong. Lol! So in the same way, the principle of reverence and respect between spouses in the marriage still applys to us today, the only thing that is different now, is the culture, it's not the head-covering no more, it's the ring. I expect my wife be proud to show off her wedding ring, it's just another way of letting me and the world know how much she loves me. Whatever I do, it affects her, whatever she do, affects me, whether it be good or bad. Although the ring is'nt that big of a deal, I still love to see her wear it, it also let's the other guys know she's mine. All mine! Lol! Unfortunately, Paul had to teach these women how they ought to carry themselves in public and in the sanctuary. We see also in verse 4, vice versa, if a man be praying or prophesying with his head covered, he dishonered his head (which is Chist). This principle still applys us in some ways too, because even in our culture today, we take off our caps before we pray, before we eat, when we go to church we go without our caps. Some women love to wear hats when they dress, others let their gorgeous hair show as a covering. I also agree with Paul in verse 14, I believe a man should have his hair neatly cut and groomed rather than have it long all the way down his back like the way females do. I don't think that's being masculine on a man's behalf. When fellas grow long hair, sometimes it's kinda hard to tell whether they're male or female. That's why Paul admonishes the people to let their own consciences be their guide. (verse 13) I hope this helps you out in some way, @nohunt. |

157 | Commission to seller..is it bribe | 2 Corinthians | humility | 215069
I believe it's a bribe Rajeeb. What I think you should do is wait for them to ask you for something, then give it to them. You could even give them the gifts AFTER THEY HAVE SOLD THE MEDICINE, that'll be your way of saying thank you. It would'nt look as if you were cohersing the situation either way. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
158 | HOW DOES GOD FEEL ABOUT SLAVERY? | Ephesians | humility | 215543
When Paul talks about slaves being in subjection unto their masters, what type of slavery is Paul talking about? Was it the kind of slavery the Israelites suffered in Egypt or slavery in relations to "employees" having a Christ-like attitude towards their employers?' What type of slavery was Paul endorsing in the new testament? (Eph 6:5-6)
159 | How did Peter recognize who Jesus was? | Eph 1:17 | humility | 218397
Someone plzzzz help me! I just don't understand how Peter and all the other apostles, and Zaccheus, The Centurion and all those people recognized who Jesus was, yet still, some of the Scribes and Pharisees and their follwers did'nt! The apostles read the same scriptures as the Pharisees. What went wrong. Sometimes I wonder if I was there at the time of Jesus, would I have recognized Him for who He is or would I have been against Him! This question always troubles me!
