EdB, Are you suggesting the difference came about after The Risen Christ? |

142 | Cain's wife is from who? | Acts 17:26 | G. Preston | 223597
I am not aware of the Bible/Genesis,et al, saying that God only created Adam and Eve. Just that they were the first creation. The reference to them is an example of creation and may not reflect the totel content of the act of Creation of man. It makes sense that God created more in numbers. To dispatch this reasoning infers God allowed the conditions for incest...which the Anti-Christ folks love. Reactions/Opinions are invited. |

143 | Cain's wife is from who? | Acts 17:26 | G. Preston | 223603
Beja, I submit you may be applying that parable a little narrow. With logic,a wide interpretation of...'made from one man"....is that Adam was the base creation from which additional creation numbers were drawn. e.g Eve. The Bible reflects other examples. For instant ...Christ was baptised ...not because he had sinned...but, because He desired an example for us to follow. |

144 | Cain's wife is from who? | Acts 17:26 | G. Preston | 223605
Grandpa, Perhaps I understand the thought process behind your point. However, we are reminded that The Bible Is the ...'inspired word of God'... and is presented for us as a ...'road map'...(if you will) for us to get from this fiscal life to eternal spiritual life. It is complete. Some parables which apply here; 1)....'some things are reserved for Gods' knowledge only....' 2) ...'it shall be revealed in due time'. Points for consideration. |

Use of the word ...'parable'(by inattention)...please substitute...'language'.
146 | Is there a bible verse that means this? | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 232178
NOTHING...just happens. The word...."Luck"... is a misnomer and should be removed from the dictionary IMHO. We are blessed even in challenges. It is G-ds' plan and nothing just happens. Otherwise one would have to conclude that G-d is not in charge...of all. Does He allow bad things to happen to good people? Yes...as part of his overall plan of which our limited brains/intel. cannot understand. G-d causes nothing bad to happen to a human. He may allow tribulations.... for his purposes. Study...don't just read it...study the book of Job. It will help greatly to understand this point. Make note G-d said Job was a "perfect" servant. To my knowledge/memory He said that about no other in the Bible. |

147 | We do what we can and God does what we c | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 232179
G-d knows our efforts and He is in charge of the outcome of any situation.
148 | onset of despair in early adulthood | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 232181
We have all experienced despair of some magnitude. That alone does not assist you but, successful removal from the bondage often lies in the experience of others. It can be a challenge/opportunity for one to look inward and examine Christian commitment,life style,overall history and realistic goals. Its' solution most often includes attention to prayer and request to G-d for help. Seeking professional social review of ones challenges may be beneficial. Discussions with your minister and/or a good Christian friend also may be useful tools. It could be helpful to others if you wished to share your efforts and achievements of success from the challenges. |

150 | Is there a bible verse that means this? | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 232259
I would urge you to give more thought to your statement. To suggest that..."most of what happens has nothing to do with G-d"...can't stand for many reasons. Nothing,Nothing happens without G-d allowing it to happen. This point is clearly depicted in the guidance set forth in the book of Job. S t u d y the book of Job and see if you have the same conclusion...after. |

151 | Is there a bible verse that means this? | Rom 8:28 | G. Preston | 233096
Not aware of such Bible verse. G-d does have a plan for us...it is called....eternal salvation. Nothing just happens. G-d is in charge of all.... and at all times. |

152 | Is the Jews are the elect people of God | Rom 10:12 | G. Preston | 195642
Suggest ID #s 1826 and 2970..they have good writings. Enter under ...search...upper right. Proper guidance is not available from Hagee on this one,IMHO. But, suggest we MUST NOT be confused between the Jew of the time of the old covenant and the Jew of today, under the new covenant with Jesus Christ. That is not distinguished in your question. |
||||||
153 | Is the Jews are the elect people of God | Rom 10:12 | G. Preston | 196778
The Jew of today does not believe that Christ as depicted in the New Testament/New covenant was the Messiah. They did believe in G-d under the old testament/covenant/mosaic law, as they believe in G-d today. Thus the difference. |
||||||
154 | why are some Christians ok with swearing | Rom 12:14 | G. Preston | 232310
Be careful how you use the word..."Christian". A Christian does not swear. |

155 | will some of be required to be lighthous | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194932
While honorable it can't be. If you have repented,baptised you will be taken at the rapture. The two witnesses will be here to full fill scripture for the first 1/2 of the trib period. While hearts will be hardened at the end times..as we see now...some will most likely repent after the rapture occurs. For Christ, Preston |

156 | will some of be required to be lighthous | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194952
I do not. But, G-d gave us 42 oz of thought process(sometimes I think 36 or 38 here.LOL)and I believe He expects us to use it. Many today have one leg planted on the belief and sinful side. The divine occurence of the rapture will surely convince some to finally repent,receive/accept Christ and witness for Him during the short time they will have under the dictatorsip reign of the AC. Understanding human actions today is the basis for the belief expressed. Example, it is often cited that a new Christian had experiened a major tribulation in life and his attention was re-directed to Christ. Just an observation as part of the answer to the question submitted. |

157 | Can a christian go to hell? | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194957
No. The operative word is "Christian". I will conclude you are using the word to refer to someone who was a Christian and has fallen away. The answer is "Yes". But, he is not a Christian. This lends itself to the belief by some that..."once saved always saved". A misunderstanding of scripture. To accept that doctrine requires one to set aside the "unforgiveable sin". Which can't be done. Your scripture reference lends itself to the teaching that..."not by works alone"..shall we receive eternal salvation. |

159 | will some of be required to be lighthous | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194968
CDBJ, We must not forget; 1)We are under the NT and new covenant. Not the OT and old covenant. Comparisons to the Ark and S and G are a stretch since they are under the old covenant.The new covenant gives us forgiveness thru Grace by the shed blood of Jesus Christ for any who repent.Those here will still be humans in the flesh which must go thru the trib. period. I can find no scripture which says that stops when the rapture occurs and the trib. period begins. 2) Revelation refers to saints from the trib. period. Who are they? 3)G-d must reach down,seal and save 12000 from each of the twelve tribes..144000...during the trib. period as seed for the millenium reign of Christ on earth. Are those sinners.... that He will save? Etc. The Holy Spirit...our comforter...will be taken away in the middle of the trib. period..not at the beginning. For Christ, Preston |

160 | Christians living together outside of ma | 1 Corinthians | G. Preston | 194969
The marriage cermony is in itself an act of a type of repentance...from living in sin. G-d forgives..shouldn't we? Scripture teaches to repent and go and sin no more. It also teaches to forgive or G-d will not forgive us of our sins. |
