1121 | A New Reformation? | Revelation | New Creature | 95797
Dear justme Just as God used Martin Luther (a single individual) To start the Reformation. Likewise with us revival must first be individual and then spread unto others as the Spirit of the Lord works among us and through us. I also agree that God can and in fact does use drastic events as sort of a broadcasting system which is aimed at getting our attention. God indeed does use circumstances to speak to individual hearts, whether it is unbelievers He is drawing to salvation, or believers that are drifting away from the faith. If I understand you correctly, you don't believe another revival is possible. You said "it's too late now" While I respect that opinion, I still believe that a revival is possible, because our God is a loving compassionate and merciful God. In your final statement you said; "I believe the great tribulation is now started or will soon start" If the great tribulation has already started, then you must not believe in the pre-trib rapture. But thats ok, cause neither do I. I just don't see how the time we are now living in fits the description of the great tribulation. But thats a whole another topic which probably needs a new thread of it's own Keep in the word, and keep praying Lord send a revival and let it begin in me. New Creature |

Dear Hank I agree with you completely. Tozer is also one of my hero's of the faith. Even though he went to be with the Lord in 1963, much of what he said seems like he wrote it just today. I read where he never owned a car in his life. While my wife and I were on vacation last year, we stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. We like Bed and Breakfast Inns because you get a chance to personally meet and become aquainted with other people. While having breakfast at this Bed and Breakfast, we began introducing ourselves to others at the Inn. One individual we began talking with was a AOG minister and he was telling my wife and I about how his congregation bought him, a Mercedes Benz, which he had with him on vacation. He also told us that he personally owns his own private airplane and is a pilot. Then he began telling us about this 18 thousand dollar Harley Davison that he also owns. By the way. I couldn't help but notice that he also was wearing a Rolex. I'm not kidding. My wife and I were appalled. I'm sure Jesus was impressed with all his material possessions Blessings Hank New Creature |

Dear Darcy Let me give you one Scriptural reference to it's description of the church. Maybe you will see that even the church in Bibical times was considered the pillar and ground of truth. the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 1 Tim. 3:15b God Bless you New Creature |

Hank Sorry to butt in here I just had to say, that I was watching an interview of Tim LaHaye on a Christian TV program, and the interviewer asked Mr. LaHaye; "what percentage of your Left Behind series is fact and what percentage is fiction. The answer Mr. LaHaye gave was 50 percent fact, and 50 percent fiction. I personally have never read one of these books, probably never will. Grace to you New Creature |

Hank You betcha Or how about a sermon using the following text 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1127 | Seven Church "ages"? Is it scriptural? | Revelation | New Creature | 95855
jclove you stated "God's time is vastly different from ours" and "a day to God is different than our current calendar. According to God's clock a day is a much longer period of time." If what you say is so then consider the following from Genesis read that on the 3rd day Gen. 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so then on the 4th day Gen. 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Gen. 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Gen. 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Gen. 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, Gen. 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good So from these verses, if I must believe that these days were a thousand years rather than a literal day, would that mean that the plants had to wait for a thousand years before they received any sunshine which helps them grow? That is just one of the numerous problems I believe you face with the theory that each day of Creation is a thousand years rather than just believing that it was a literal 24 hour day. Radioman I read where someone had written; "What has been left behind in the Left Behind series is the truth. Having never read any of this series myself I cannot comment on them. And having no desire to ever read any of them in the future, I probably won't be able to comment on them at a later day either. God bless you New Creature or just plain NC for short |

justme Congratulations on 34 years of marriage Here is a piece of humor you might enjoy. Just don't tell it to Mrs. justme if you plan to celebrate a 35th wedding anniversary. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested the kitchen. God Bless you and Mrs. justme New Creature |

Hank I have been confined to a wheelchair ever since I made that comment. She said one more smart remark from you and I will break your typing fingers. There are two times when a man doesn't understand a woman – before marriage and after marriage May Gods Grace abound to you New Creature |

EdB While I did get the Pastors name, I must say it's been over a year and I no longer remember what it is. All I can remember about him is that he was from a populated New Jersey area, and had a large congregation that according to him, loved him with much respect. God Bless you NC |

EdB It may be possible that the Pastor I mentioned came from a well to do family and had plently of money to spare since he owned his own airplane. Another possibility is that he received a large sum of money from some sort of settlement Other possibilities could be, that he invested wisely in the stock market. Or maybe some deceased relative died and left him and his wife a large estate. The last possibility maybe he was the winner of a large lottery jackpot. I don't know his situation. I agree if his congregation desired to endow him with special favor, then thats their priviledge, whether or not I agree on the laviousness of it. I do know that there are some so-called ministers who preach a "health and wealth" prosperity message. Whether or not this individual is or is not one of these I cannot tell. God bless you |

1133 | letters Jesus wrote to the 7 churches | Rev 2:7 | New Creature | 58330
I believe that the letters that were written to the 7 churches in Asia, are directed at all churches in all ages. Seven times in Rev. chapters 2 and 3 are found the following words - Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; Are we today a church that still needs to be hearing what the Spirit would say? I think so. Lastly - Discovery House Publishers has two great videos on this topic. The two videos are entitled " Land Of The Seven Churches" these two tapes can be obtained by contacting Discovery House Publishers Box 3566 Grand Rapids, MI 49501 or e-mail them at videos@dhp.org their web-site is - http://www.dhp.org/ Hope this helps |

1134 | Why did the GOD create man? | Rev 4:11 | New Creature | 123075
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. We were created for His pleasure, and that we might bring Him glory, and have fellowship with Him, and enjoy Him forever. |
