102 | what is being born again? | John 3:1 | ebrain | 177138
Exactly what it says it is, ie, born again refers to a second birth. Your first birth is spoken of at Luke 7:28, "Born of woman", this is how you get into the Physical world, the second birth is "Born of the Spirit", see John 5:5-6, this is how you get into the Spirital world. If further clarification is required, please ask. Every blessing. ebrain. |

103 | Does Sin mean the same in Old and New | Rom 5:14 | ebrain | 174075
Yes it does, Sin is against God, and therefore it is allways the same no matter when commited, then, or now.
104 | How is Adam's sin different? | Rom 5:14 | ebrain | 174067
What follows is speculation, but it might be of some help. We are told at 1st Tim 2:13-15, that it was only the woman who was deceived, and that Adam knew full well just what he was intending to do. Jesus we are told, knew no sin, but allowed himself to be made sin in order to save His bride, that is you and I. It is not, in my considered opinion impossible that Adam might just have done the same to save his wife Eve. Note he did not go to the tree as Eve did, but took the fruit from her, i.e. he in type took her sin on himself This is what I think Paul had in mind at Romans 5:14. If you would like to have a fuller, and more detailed explanation, then let me have your e-mail address, mine is pabrain@indent.co.uk |

There has never been on earth, a person with a stronger will than out Lord Jesus Christ, Yet even for Him, to obtain what He wanted, He had to subject His will to that of His Father God. See John 5:30. Perhaps more another time, must close now. The Lord bless you. Edwin Brain. ebrain. |

108 | Jesus the Preacher | Mark 4:1 | ebrain | 173204
Read Mark 4:1, and Matthew 13:2, Jesus chose a location where there was a bay, and on shore the land sloped upwards forming a nutural part arena, He would then ask that the boat be taken out untill it was at the center of the curve formed by the shoreline. That is how it was done without using artificial amplification. He spoke in Aramaic, see Matthew 16:17, the word Bar is Aramaic for son, the Hebrew word is Ben. |

113 | jesus,real birth date | Bible general Archive 3 | ebrain | 170681
Why?. What does it matter when Jesus was born? As far as I know, only two dates can be predicted, one is past, and is refered to at Luke 19:44, "You did not know the time of your visitation", the other, which has nothing to do with christians, as we will not be here, is found in Daniel 12:11-12. Both of these dates are for the Jews only, one refering to the first comming, and the other to the second comming of their Messiah. |

114 | Isaih Chapter 42 Verse 8 is it Jesus? | Heb 1:6 | ebrain | 170677
The verse you quote must be read in context from v6 to v9, and then compare with Heb 1:5-9. Verse 5 says "You are my Son", then v 6 says "Let all the angels of God worship him". Isaiah 42:8 says "I will not give my glory to another". He is not giving His glory to another, He is giving it to Himself, ie, Jesus, and God are one. When reading these two passages of Scripture, how can any one doubt that Jesus is in fact God. |

115 | luke 23:34 | Luke 23:34 | ebrain | 170657
It is true that many christians are to some extent ignorant of our Lord's teaching, that however, is not what is happening here, Jesus is asking for forgivness for the ones who were killing Him, not however the Jewish Leaders, who knew full well what they were doing. |

116 | father forgive them; they do not know | Luke 23:34 | ebrain | 170655
What do you require a sermon for? the words speak for themselves. It's the same today, the unconverted do not know what they are doing, nor do they understand Scripture, see 1 Cor 2:14. If the Lord choses to convert them, then that if a different matter. |

118 | genesis 34:1-12 | Gen 12:13 | ebrain | 170055
They did not show respect for women, see my other answer to this question.
119 | Did Abraham, Issac and Jacob respect wom | Gen 12:13 | ebrain | 170052
Abram showed complete, and total lack of respect for his wife, when at Gen 12:-18. Although the Lord put a stop to this see v 17, it did not stop Abraham doing the same thing all over again see Gen 20:1-11. His son Isaac did exactly the same to his wife, see Gen 26:1-10. No these men did not show respect for women, but treated them with utter contempt, and were prepared to offer their wives to be used sexually by other men, in order to save their own lives. |
