according to scripture you must not only believe but be doers of the word in order to be saved. what is the answer to the argument of the Sabbath being Saturday or Sunday? It makes sense to me that Saturday is the Sabbath, but I go to church, meditate on Gods word in depth on Sunday. Am I a Sabbath breaker? As God's law says remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Thank you
3 | What is considered work on the Sabbath? | Not Specified | docandlinda2 | 206694
Again, I understand we are not under the law, but God does expect us to obey his laws. When He say remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, I feel he wants us to worship, praise, meditate on His word, and honor Him doing all things unto His glory. I spend time on that day in my yard tending to it, enjoying the very thing He causes to florish. But I don't want to dishonor him, if this form of relaxation and appreciation is considered work. Can you shed some light on this? Thank you.
4 | where is my joy? | Not Specified | docandlinda2 | 207728
I am a Christian and love the Lord. However the more I seek to know of Him and learn of Him the more the joy of my salvation seems further and further from me. When I see how many of my friends and loved ones call themselves Christians but show no fruits of such as well as take the Lords name in vain or sin without hesitation thinking that because they believe that that is all that is required which I know is not correct. With so many being lost this life seems to hold less joy and it is difficult for me, knowing this, even though it is my prayer for them to come to know the savior to feel sadness in my Christian walk. I pray for God to restore the joy of my salvation, but at this time I am still saddened and burdened by this.

i have been a Christ follower for many years. I hunger and thirst for His word and love spending time with him. Having said all of that, I seem to have lost my joy. I find that the more I study and learn, the more saddened I become for those who are lost. I have felt the holy spirit working in my life and I am so richly blessed beyond measure, but if I am truly converted and saved would I not exerience more than fleeting moments of joy?

In Revelation in each of the letters to the churches He tells them they must be overcomers to eat from the tree of life, not be hurt by the second death, give hidden manna and a white stone with a new name written on it, give authority over nations, be dressed in white andnver have their name blotted out of the book of life, make a piller in the temple and the right to sit with Jesus on His throne, but what are they to overcome? We will not be made perfect until they day of Christ Jesus, and will sin, so exactly what to we need to overcome, as it reads to me that if we do not, we will not be with Him in heaven?
8 | What is blaspheming the Holy Spirit? | Not Specified | docandlinda2 | 210665
In Mark Chapter 3 the bible speaks of blaspheming the Holy Spirit as the unforgivable sin. 9 | Why is there weaping in heaven? | Not Specified | docandlinda2 | 222948
As stated in Rev 21:4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away. Why will He wiping our tears? Will this be because we will be sorrowful in how much more we could have done for Him while we were on earth or perhaps because we do not see loved ones there? Why do you think we weap in heaven, that He would dry our tears? |

17 | where is the joy of my salvation? | Bible general Archive 4 | docandlinda2 | 210252
thank you so much for your words. if you were to ask the average person in my circle of friends, my family and my peers, they wonder how I can stay uplifted most of the time, even through my trials and I then have the privledge of telling them of God's grace and how His strength and knowing He is in control of all things gets me through my day, even the tough cicumstances. I'm emensly greatful to him that in all other areas other than the deep joy that I understand that a Christian is supposed to have, that He has given me so much peace about day to day living and allows me to draw on His strength during times of trial to remain calm. But when I hear the stories of a few Christians that speak of the overwhelming joy, I start to wonder what is wrong with me. I begin to think something is wrong with me, then leading me to question my salvation. your words give me hope that I am not a lost cause. i have talked to my neighbor, who is also a serving, loving Christian who feels the same way. I will share your words with her also. thanks again. God bless you too. Linda |

You are correct, I do need to be careful of taking one or two verses, even though it seems that those are the ones that stick out, but I do need to be careful. your words along with the scripture will be of great comfort. thank you again and God bless you too. I'm still trying to figure out how to work this site. I have just read your answer. It allows me not to go around feeling condemnation all of the time. I will do as you have said, worthipping, praising, meditating and honoring Him to His glory. Thank you for your words of encouragement and scripture that I can refer to and build on my faith. God bless you too. Linda |

20 | where is the joy of my salvation? | Bible general Archive 4 | docandlinda2 | 210295
Thank you for your words. I try to be careful not to blow my witness those times that I have doubt. My peers and family and friends look to me as someone they can come to with questions regarding Jesus and what scripture says. I have read the bible several times since my youth and have been avidly studying for the past two years. I feel blessed that God has answered my prayers, creating a desire for him and to grow that desire for the rest of my life. He continues to show me His faithfulness and His glory. So I am hopeful that I will experience that joy in Christ. That is not to say that I am unhappy, I just know there is more. God has blessed me with peace in so many areas of my life, but satan plaques me with the question of "if you are truly converted, where is your joy unspeakable". Most of the time I can push this away, but I cant help but wonder why I cannot seem to lay this one at Jesus' feet once and for all and leave it there. therefore a saddness deep in my spirit. Then I add insult to injury and listen to "way of the master" Radio with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort and am amazed at how many people either don't even consider Christ or just because they believe think that they are saved. It often overwhelms me with saddness that is so deep that no one sees it, but I can feel it. I know that David prayed "restore unto me the joy of my salvation" and I too have prayed this, however the joy I do experience I am greatful for. I just want to make sure that when I doubt or question my own salvation that this is "the father of lies" up to his old tricks. Again thank you for insight, God's word, and your blessings. Your sister in Christ. Linda |
