4 | More accurate version of a verse | Not Specified | cathysmith97 | 226656
The King James version of Psalm 10:14, says, "Lord, you see grief and trouble to return it by your hand." The NIV version says, "Lord you see grief and trouble and take it into hand." There is a big difference between "return it by your hand" and "take it into hand". Take is into hand means just to consider something. I have a NIV study bible and its comment on this verse is "The Lord sees the suffering of the righteous." However if you read the verse in King James, the Lord does more than just "see" the suffering of the righteous, he "returns it by His hand." Which is the more correct or accurate version of this verse? Thank you |

Hi Beja, Thank you for explaining to me what was in the clip. I do look forward to listening to it and will do so as soon as I can. Last night our pastor gave Acts 13:1-2 as an example of praying to the Holy Spirit. He said because the Holy Spirit came and spoke to the apostles, that implies that they were praying to the Holy Spirit. I disagree. Your thoughts? Have you ever heard this before concerning Acts 13 1-3? |

13 | Praying to the Holy Spirit | Eph 6:18 | cathysmith97 | 221605
Hi Brad, Thank you for getting back to me. The reason I asked was because my pastor said that Acts 13: 1-3 is an example of praying to the Holy Spirit. He said the apostles were praying to the HOly Spirit because "The HOly Spirit Said........" The pastor said that because the "Holy Spirit ANSWERED the apostles that means that they were praying to the HOLY Spirit. I disagree with the pastor and I am trying to find if there is any evidence to support his view. Thank you I think you disagree also. What do you think I should say to him? |

Thank you for your response. I do intend to ask the pastor what evidence he gives to support his interpretation. I myself believe the pastor is incorrect. Thanks again.
