1 | Gen 1:28, Sex in the garden of Eden? | Gen 1:28 | PaulusSecundus | 243530
If they had remained faithful, they would eventually have had sex in the garden. However, the Bible doesn't say that they did before being expelled. That is a private matter between a married couple. In Genesis 3:16, God told Eve after her sin: "You will suffer terribly when you give birth." Genesis 4:1 says: "Adam knew Eve." In what way? Numbers 31:17 mentions "known man by lying with him." Others say "had sex relations with a man" and "have ever had sex." Because God didn't destroy them immediately, she was able to give birth. So, this could indicate that it was first outside Eden that they had sex, and not while in Eden. |

2 | God turns back on individuals? | Rom 11:5 | PaulusSecundus | 227618
The questioner is asking about whether God turns his back on individuals, and I'm providing scriptural examples of God doing this, for another example, remember the individual Judas, the apostle, whom Jesus referred to as "the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot--the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled. [Ps. 41:9; John 6:70.]." (AMP)
3 | jewish priests dying behind tabernacle | Bible general Archive 4 | PaulusSecundus | 227617
Of course, Aaron's two sons Nadab and Abihu were not high priests at the time, which is what the question's referring to..
4 | jewish priests dying behind tabernacle | Bible general Archive 4 | PaulusSecundus | 227615
Exodus 28:31-35 describes the high priest's dress to perform the atonement day procedures and the penalty of death if not followed. (Note Lev. 16:2; Num. 18:7.) Also, he experienced a symbolic death every time he entered the Most Holy, too. (Heb 9:27) But there's nothing suggesting "high priests" going behind the tabernacle with a bell and a rope attached so when the bell rang they knew that he was dead! |

9 | hos did god want us before the foundatio | John 17:24 | PaulusSecundus | 227593
The Greek expression "pro katabole kosmos" (before the beginning of the world, CEV) primarily means, according to Thayer, "a throwing or laying down," that is, "the injection or depositing of the virile semen in the womb." This occurred when Adam did so into Eve's womb. (Genesis 4:1, 2) Thus your answer would be in Genesis 1:26-31; 2:15-25. |

10 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227549
Beja: Why do you think the "rich man" in Luke 16:22, 23 went to "Hades" and not Gehenna when he died? |
||||||
11 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227534
Its interesting to note in Mark 9:43, 44, that Young and Williams translate: "Go away into Gehenna, into the fire which cannot be put out" and "Go away to the gehenna, to the fire--the unquenchable." So, many translations render both "Hades" and "Gehenna" as "hell," yet you, rightly, differentiate between the two. What do you think? |

12 | Hell | Jer 32:35 | PaulusSecundus | 227504
"Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them." (Rev. 20:13, King James Version) This indicates that "the dead" in "hell" are "delivered up." Thus can the dead be consigned to hell "for all eternity"?
13 | Satan has permission to rule | Bible general Archive 4 | PaulusSecundus | 227486
"They [faithful Christians] came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Rev. 20:4) "Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years." (Rev. 20:6) These faithful Christians 'reign with Christ' for a thousand years. Clearly, Jesus could not return during or after this 1,000 years, otherwise he wouldn't have 'reigned' for a thousand years. "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever." What's more the inference is that Christ is already reigning in 'his kingdom' before these 1,000 years begin as shown above in Rev. 11:15-18. |

14 | Did God break His own law for David? | Exodus | PaulusSecundus | 227476
"Let God be found true though every human being is false and a liar, as it is written, That You may be justified and shown to be upright in what You say, and prevail when You are judged [by sinful men]. [Psalm 51:4.]." "God put [Jesus] forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment [including David's sins]. "It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:4, 25, 26) David said: "Against You, You only, I have sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." God will not "despise" a repentant heart. Also, God took into account his covenants with David. (2 Samuel 7:12; Isaiah 55:3) |

15 | Satan has permission to rule | Bible general Archive 4 | PaulusSecundus | 227473
"I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time." "When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth." So, Satan will be released "for a short time" after the 1,000 years are ended and gain a following on earth again during that "short time." (Revelation 20:1-3, 7-9) |

17 | bible statement re premarital relations | 1 Corinthians | PaulusSecundus | 227470
"Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband." "If a virgin marries, she has not sinned." (1 Corinthians 7:1, 2, 28)
18 | jesus' go into hades | Acts 2:22 | PaulusSecundus | 227468
"Because he [David] was a prophet and knew that GOD HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON HIS THRONE, he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that HE WAS NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID His flesh SUFFER DECAY." So, according to the King James version, God would not 'leave Jesus' soul in Hades.' So, yes, Jesus entered Hades when he was "slain." (Acts 2:23, 27, 31) |

19 | How is Jesus related to King David? | Matt 1:1 | PaulusSecundus | 227449
"Jacob was the father of Joseph." (Matthew 1:16) Jesus was "as was supposed, the son of Joseph, the son of Eli." (Luke 3:23) Joseph can't have two fathers! Hence, "Eli" was Joseph's father in law, the father of Mary, the descendant of David. |
