AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 2:22 ¶ "Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man accredited and pointed out and attested to you by God with [the power to perform] miracles and wonders and signs which God worked through Him in your [very] midst, just as you yourselves know-- |
Bible Question: did jesus descend into hades during his death? |
Bible Answer: "Because he [David] was a prophet and knew that GOD HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON HIS THRONE, he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that HE WAS NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID His flesh SUFFER DECAY." So, according to the King James version, God would not 'leave Jesus' soul in Hades.' So, yes, Jesus entered Hades when he was "slain." (Acts 2:23, 27, 31) |
