1 | Is it wrong to consult fortune tellers? | Deut 18:10 | souljourners | 178643
Actually I humbled myself and agreed with you so there will be no more response to this matter from me. But I would appreciate if you read my other responses and you will get a better understanding. In all your getting get an understanding. In James 1:5 it says those that lack wisdom let them ask of God he will give it freely. I haven't had anyone else misunderstand me and if there is something that I wrote that wasn't understandable I am available to give a more inept discussion until there is an understanding. I may not always put the scripture in my post because I am responding to a question but I do quote from the scriptures and it's not hard to understand. God bless and please no more corrections. I'm not the only one not quoting scritpures when answering a question about a scripture. Have you ever heard of (paraphrasing). Some questions call for your opinion and common sense of which I sure everyone here has. But if scripture is needed i will supply it as I have in my other post. You and I two different people and you may answer a question diferently than I. Does that sound fair. As long as I'm not quoting the scriptures wrongly.
2 | Sin Not Leading To Death | 1 John 5:16 | souljourners | 178619
I absolutely agree that no one is perfect. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God but the word speaks for itself. Pride is not a sin unto death unless it it is unrepented for. I Peter 5;6 says to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. In 1 John 1:9 is says that God is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That includes pride. Galatians 6:1 says if a man be overtaken in a fault, those that are spiritual are to restore him. But again in Mark 3:29 is the sin that the Bible says is unto unpardonable. I don't know where you're going with this conversation but I do know that in John 14:26 the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost will teach you all things, and that is my basis for the question you asked. You asked what is and unpardonable sin and I gave you the scripture. The word does not lie. Love covers a multitude of sin. And in love I close this line of conversation. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion but the word speaks for itself. God bless you and keep you. One thing I do not do is argue the scriptures or over religion. I trust God and I trust what the word says. The Holy Ghost will show us, lead us and guide us. In James 1:5 tells us those that lack in wisdom let him ask of God.
3 | Is it wrong to consult fortune tellers? | Deut 18:10 | souljourners | 178615
If you read my post you will see that I have included scripture. Thanks for the input. I am a bit ovewhelmed when it comes to the word and I do need to take time and realize that there are other who don't know the word with out scripture. But when you read my responses most of them are in response to the scripture that was quoted already. God bless my prayers
4 | Does Satan Know Your Thoughts? | Rev 2:23 | souljourners | 178614
Read Job 1:6-12 and it will also give you some insight as to how much power Satan has. He also has to answer to God and ask permission. It also says that in Genesis 1:27 we were created in the image of God. He has no power over God or us. Although in Isaiah 55 it says God's thoughts are not our thoughts because of our fleshly nature which is sinful. Satan attacks your thoughts in order to get us to sin against God, but he does not have the power to read our thoughts. But he listens to our words. In I Peter 5:8 it says he roams the earth seeking whom he can devour. Nowhere in the bible does it say he can read our thoughts but he can cloud your thoughts or cause you to be distracted from the things of God. I pray that this has given you some insight.
5 | What is the sin unto death (1 John 5:16) | 1 John 5:16 | souljourners | 178612
Excuse me but you noted in your statement about sin not leading to death so therefore a scripture stating the unpardonable sin is appropiate. Your short question clearly says What is the sin unto death? it is Mark 3:29 as I stated. God bless you again and I'll pray for your harshness.

7 | Sin Not Leading To Death | 1 John 5:16 | souljourners | 178605
I sorry to say but sin is sin. It doesn't matter who is commiting it, it has the same results of any unrepented sin. In the bible there are several scirptures that imply Jews and the Gentiles. Unpardonable sin is blaspheme against the Holy Ghost and that applies to every and anyone. In the scripture you are quoting this also applies to everyone not just believers. It is up to those that do believe and are true followers of Christ to petition God for the sin of there fellow brother. This does not mean that you have to be a believer for this scripture to apply to you. The scriptures were written for the world. But God gives us free will whether or not to obey them. Saying a believer also could mean anyone. There are people who believe, but don't follow. God bless you
8 | Sin Not Leading To Death | 1 John 5:16 | souljourners | 178573
Am I understanding that you are saying believers can practice sin? the bible says that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but the bibles also says the if you practice sin you are not a child of God, but the devil is your father. 1 John chapter 3. If you are a born again, baptized in NAME OF THE FATHER, SON AND THE HOLY GHOST believer and you purposely sin without repentance you die spiritually and are separated from God. The sin that is unforgiven is to blaspheme against the Holy Ghost Mark 3:29 this sin leads to eternal damnation. Homosexuality is an abomination to God, but forgivable if you repent and turn away from sinning. Suicide is eternal death also because you don't have the opportunity to repent if you take your own life. You can ask for forgiveness but you commit the sin after you have asked for forgiveness, so no there is no forgiveness in suicide. Look at Judas Iscariot who commited suicide, the betrayer of Jesus.

What John are you looking in. In the KJV bible it says in St. John 15:1 I am the true vine and my Father is the husbandman. When i said God I was speaking of Jesus who being one part of the Holy Trinity where God the Father, Jesus the Son and The Holy Ghost are one. Jesus is God

13 | Joyce Meyer a woman who won'tbe quiet | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178487
I do not argue the gospel, I am just asking that you have an open mind to the things of Christ. . Why can't you just admit that my statement has merit to it? No argument involved. I am humble in Jesus name. I also know I have a relationship and a fellowship with God and that I am chosen by God to preach His word and I have the hearts desire to do so and he said that he would give us our hearts desire. I also know that conviction brings about correction. Peace unto you. In all your getting get an understanding In Jesus' Name.
14 | Faith apart from works! | James | souljourners | 178485
IN JOHN 15 IT SAYS THAT GOD IS THE TRUE VINE AND WE ARE THE BRANCHES. AND WE ALL MUST BEAR FRUIT. OUR GREAT COMMISSION IS TO GO INTO THE ALL THE WORLD AND BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST. TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS GOD HAS COMMANDED. YOU CAN SAY WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU HAVE FAITH IN GOD, BUT IF YOU'RE DOING THE WORKS OF THE LORD FAITH IS OBSOLETE. fAITH IS AN ACTION WORD JUST LIKE LOVE IS AN ACTION. SOME YOU SHOW OR DO, NOT JUST SAY.
15 | Joyce Meyer a woman who won'tbe quiet | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178480
I SIMPLY ASKED YOU IF YOU BELIEVE GOD HAS CALLED JOYCE MEYER A WOMAN TO PREACH ALL OVER THE WORLD OR IS SHE SINNING TO DO SO? THAT IS A DIRECT REFERENCE TO THE SCRIPTURE "LET YOUR WOMEN KEEP SILENT." YOU TOTALLY AVOIDED THE QUESTION BECAUSE IT HAS MERIT TO IT. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP AN OPEN MIND OF THE THINGS OF CHRIST. |

16 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178478
We are sticking with scripture, but you are on one scripture. Does not your mind expand to have the mind of Christ. If Jesus gave the Samaritan woman at the well permission to speak His word to all she knew in John Chapter 4, what makes you think that that one scripture you seem to be stuck on is not meant for the church in Corinth and the situations they were having in the time Paul wrote the words in that scripture? In those days it was unlawful for women to even be in public during the day, but through divine intervention God placed this woman there because it was something that she needed to hear. So why is it so hard for you to understand that God is calling woman to speaking under his direction and annoitance that woman and men alike need to hear a different prospective of God's word. I truly have no doubt that the word is the inspiration of God, but you also have to realize that God gives us a mind and wisdom to think for ourselves also. It says not to quench the Spirit of God. So if woman aren't allowed to speak in the church that is contradictive to the word of God. Hallelujah is the highest praise and I love to speak praises to His name in church and out of church. So have I sinned for saying Hallelujah in church? If the problems in Corinth needed order at that time then it was appropiate for Paul to set order in the church. By Pastor's being led by God to use woman is not out of order and a sin. It's called a vision whom God gives to all Leaders. I don't come from a large church and I wear several hats within my church to God be the Glory. The gifts that I have are from God and to be used for His glory. Faith without works is dead. We all are to bear fruit. What about those scriptures? But we all know that God has called many womEn to preach His word all over the world. Let me ask you this. Do you believe God has called Joyce Meyer to preach under His annointance or is she in sin for doing so? Do you believe she is hearing from God? Do you believe she will be judged by God for preaching all over the world in which God has made provison for her and her husband Dave to do so? Do you believe she speakS the truth?
17 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178473
I said nothing about men sinning and in no way did I say it is okay to sin. That goes against everything I stand for, excuse me if you can't have an open mind of the things I'm saying. If you read closely you will see that I was using an example. In those days it wasn't unusual because those were the times they lived in. Just as it wasn't unusual for women to keep silent in those times. Slavery was common in those days also but those things have changed and so have the way things are today. So what are you talking about it's okay to sin that will never change. That was a cliche' you decided to take out of everything else I said and turn it around. God bless you my brother and I'll just say to you go to God in prayer and I'm sure he'll enlighten you on what is being said. You totally misunderstood what I said or have a closed mind to it. God bless you and keep you. Again I say nowhere in the bible did God command for women to be silent in the church. This was a request from Paul because of the situation in the church in Corinth. Do some research before you misinterpret what someone is saying. I don't argue over the word but I am asking you to keep an open mind and an open heart. With a closed mind you'll never hear and without hearing you'll never learn. Be blessed. |

18 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178459
Paul wrote the book of Corinthians as he established churches and order the way it was aligned at that time. he said he does not allow, nowhere does it say that God commanded this. Truly I know that the husband has authority over the wife, but if the head of the church (local) which is the Pastor reccommends that a woman speak then I do believe that it is Gods will. God has even used a donkey so why not a woman. I speak in the church, but I have respect for the men over me and I do not make my address in the pulpit, but at the podium and God blesses me. But if there comes a time for me to be in the pulpit I know God will lead in that direction. Women's rights have nothing to do with the will of God. Look again at Deborah, she was in authority of men and women and she was chosen by God. So was Queen Esther. She had favor with God. Through her authority a whole nation of Jews was saved. it wasn't a man who God used but a woman. This happened over 2 thousand years ago not in the 21st century. The difference in the scriptures is who wrote it and who was that person speaking to and why.God bless
19 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178458
God gives a different revelation to scripture. The word does not change but God gives the wisdom of interpretation of the scriptures to the right person at the appopriate time. The times in Corinth are not the times now, but the word and God remain the same. Women could not be seen with their heads uncovered back then but times have changed. Men were allowed to have cumcubines but times have changed. In answer to receiving the scripture, I have the Holy Ghost down on the inside who teaches me the word and it's meaning. The scriptures says "Let your women keep silent", I'm a widow so hows does this scripture apply to me in the sense of wives being submissive to their husbands? and being taught by their husbands.
20 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | souljourners | 178451
In the scripture it clearly states let your women keep silent. This is being addressed to the men in Corinth and Ephesis at that time and place. But before this verse the bible is talking about prophecying, correct? But we all know that Deborah was a Judge and Prophetess: Huldah was a Prophetess, and in Joel 2:28 it clearly states the sons and daughters should prophesy. On the day of Pentecost women spoke in tongues Acts 2:4, the daughters of Phillip prophesied Acts 21:9, and in 1 Corinthians 11:5 Paul gives directions of women prophesying. As I said the Spirit of God gives us the ability to be open-minded as well as open-hearted. This scripture is taken out of context so often. You have to research and find out what was going on in Corinth and Ephesus at the time Paul wrote this scripture. This was the order of that church at that time. Example: In the Old Testament it says an eye for an eye, but in the New testament it say turn the other cheek. Which will you do? Both are in the word of God. But that was the order of the church at that time during those situations. Today we have different situations in the church where God is using women to preach, teach and speak publicly. What is the big issue if God uses a woman to get His word across? All through the bible it reads where God has used woman for His work. Look at Abigail who was married to a foolish man, Nabel. She had to make his wrongs right. God used her. Look at the woman at the well. Jesus gave her permission to go and tell the Samaritans about Him. This scripture 1Corinthians 14:35 applies to the circumstances that were surrounding the church in Corinth at the time wrote the letter. This is not a direct commandment from God.
