2 | What does Matthew 24: 28 mean? | Matt 24:28 | heartfire | 23484
Hmm... Yes, thanks, Brother Nolan. Thanks to all those who contributed too. Still this post kinda makes the most sense, in my opinion.
3 | Where are muslims in the Bible? | Ex 20:3 | heartfire | 21119
Hmm, well, the Bible only mentioned the ancestry, not the religion. Not all of Ishmael's descendants are Muslims, so it isn't that Muslims came from Ishmael. It's just that majority of Ishmael's descendants (I don't know about this, but it's what a lotta people I know and on this discussion say) became Muslim after 600AD (as mentioned by others here). Hence, mincc asked where in the Bible is the history and origin of Islam is in the Bible. In answer to that, there is no place in the Bible which does so. More like it showed more clearly how a door could be opened for it to happen (founding of Islam in 600AD), and it could be called a hint. Still, it only hinted about the ancestry, not about the religion of Islam itself. So I guess Hank was right, IMHO. |

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, vultures don't kill. They're scavengers. But that isn't exactly very nice-sounding either. Well, at least not like eagles. But honestly, how important do you think understanding this passage is? Would it be okay to just keep it in the back of your head, and just do what's expected (pray/watch/read God's Word)? Well, personally, I think that should be okay. But I'd like to know another's point of view. |

5 | How do you know there is a God? | Ps 46:10 | heartfire | 19439
Yeah! It's a 50-50 chance, actually. Science can explain away, but even if all their explanations were right, that still wouldn't prove that God wasn't there, but the most it could mean was the we understand how a possible God created stuff and how a possible God made it work. It doesn't exclude the possibility of God. And besides, a lot of science's theories are based on assumptions. The most major assumption is that things like physics have remained constant since a very long time ago.
