1 | Could Jesus sin? | Col 2:9 | chris4him | 181478
Hi Doc, you seem to have a very sound grasp on the diety of Jesus Christ. When I think of the only sinless man who ever lived. I reflect on John chapter 1 knowing Jesus is the word of God Who was with God in the beginning and was God and through Him (The Word) all things were made. in verse 14 it says that same Word became flesh and dwelt amoung us (He became a man). So the real question is could God sin? Because scripture tells us that He is God, and if He could sin, there would be no hope of salvation for any of us. I like 2cor5:21 He (God) sent Him (Jesus) Who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousnes of God in Him. Thank you, Chris |

2 | Filled with the Holy Spirit or not? | 1 Tim 2:12 | chris4him | 148018
Hi, Doc thank you for your comments relating to my question. I believe people are drawn supernaturally to Christ, it happened to me. That day when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior there were a lot of things I didn't know about; But God responded to my child like faith when I cried out to Him and asked Him to forgive my sinful life. God did something to me that day, He put hope in me. See God responds to faith. Heb 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please Him and that we have to believe that He exists and also that He rewards us when we seek Him in faith. So in faith I asked Christ into my heart. I received Him like it says in John 1:12,13 We know that we are His temple, that He dwells in the heart of men. but He won't dwell in our hearts unless we ask Him to. My life didn't begin to change until I asked Him (received Him, invited Him) into my heart. But I wouldn't have got that opportunity unless someone shared the good news of Christ with me. I had to come to terms with my sinful lifestyle and selfish ways and repent. I'm not sure what (ordo salutis) is but I do know what has happened to me and if we look at some examples in the bible we can see that salvation is a gift given to us by Chris Jesus. One example: the thief didn't have time to study out his salvation but just believed in Christ and asked him to remember him. We all know thay he was going to heaven. Do we confess Jesus before men? The word says we must. Matt 10:32 or Christ won't confess us before the Father. And we need the Holy Spirit to do this effectively Acts 1:8 |

Hi, Angel "We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him." 1Jn 5:18 I had a hard time with that scripture when I first read it. Man I try not to sin but I do, so how can I be born of God? Then I read earlier in this book "Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious; anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother." 1Jn 3:7-10 The key word for me in this portiion of scripture is "practice". When I was in the world I practiced sin and was good at it. Now that I'm born of God I practice righteousness. And just like any physician who practices medicene, some are better than others. That doesn't make the ones who aren't as good loose their title, they're still physicians. Just as those who practice righteousness, some are better at it than others, that doesn't mean our heavenly Father loves them any less, or that their not born of God. The differnece between a Christian who is born again and one who is not is the heart felt sorrow when we do sin and our obedience to seek forgiveness (1jn 1:9) God no longer sees our sin if we're born of God because of the blood of Jesus. Praise Him!! God bless, Chris |

Hi Angel, I know its been a long time since you answered my question but I'd like to add that since so many people pray and show reverence to Mary, isn't this an opportunity for the enemy to deceive millions of people here in these last days. There have been hundreds of sitings confirmed by the Catholic church as authentic. www.aparitions.com And although tele evangelist can get off track, the consequenses are monitarily not eternal Luke 4:8 God bless you in your walk, Chris |
